Electric Nurse Dark Skull

Dark Skull is a heavy collaboration between our metal-loving brewer Peter and musician and craft beer-fan Victor Brandt (Entombed AD, Firespawn, Totalt Jävla Mörker). They headbanged their heads together to create a stout in a true Entombed AD spirit. Brewed with roasted barley, chocolate and oat malts, roasted coconut and coconut sugar.

Unfiltered to retain as much taste as possible.

3.8 0,3 litre Bottle from Systembolaget Charlottenberg. Black with light brown head. Roasted malts, coffee, Chocolate, liqorice, Roasted coconut.

3.8 Finfin gräddfärgad skumkrona, nästan helt svart upphälld. Mycket smak. Chokladig, söt, ganska maskerad spritighet (10,4%). Lång eftersmak. Köpvärd. Frun tyckte den var vidrig.

4.1 0,33 l bottle. Good beer but I hoped more from the coconut imperial stout, body is too light.

4.1 Bottle @ home, from SB. Almost black. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, chocolate, coconut). Flavor medium+ sweet, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, some alcohol, Almost full body, low carbonated.

2.2 Mycket svag lukt, mustig, svag spritig smak.

3.0 Darkest brown. Aroma is smoke, coconut, soy sauce, lots of nutpeel, sweet dark chocolate. Taste is booze warmth, spicy vanilla, alcohol much. Maybe too phenolic. Meh.

2.4 Bottle. Dark brown, low foamy head. Quite phenolic nose. Medium light dry wood base, cinnamon cookie, dry, lightly oxidized, higher alcohol retronasal.

2.8 Bottle, many thanks Nische! Brown color with soapy beige head. Aroma is coconut, some booze, quite phenolic, raisins. Taste is green apple peel, phenolic, chocolate, raisins again. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Quite weird, and not sure if it should be this phenolic.

3.9 Piłem z datą 2020 więc nie było wyleżane i ciężko mi było wyczuć tego kokosa. W smaku słodkawe, palone, kawowe, gorzka czekolada, trochę waniliowe ale ten kokos był gdzieś na granicy autosugestii. Choć po ogrzaniu dwa, trzy razy go poczułem. Tak czy inaczej to porządny RIS dobrze ułożony, choć za te pieniądze wypije się w Polsce lepsze :)

3.7 OKT 18: mørk mørk brun. Skum som forsvinner. Dufter vanilje og søtmalt. Fløyel i anslag med vanilje og sødme som blir møtt av en ram bitterhet med litt alkostikk. God, men litt ram for alenekos.

4.0 On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours black with medium tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, some dried fruit. Sweet with soft carbonation. Medium to full bodied.

4.0 Murky, very dark brown, almost black, tiny, brownish head. Lovely, pungent aroma... Coconut, carob, light cocoa, roast, full sweetish dark maltiness, smells like some cake. Remarkably lean taste for the abv... Coconuts and raisins mostly, some carob, sweetish but not excessively so, well integrated alcohol. This is very, very classy stuff. Excellent!

3.8 Clear, black colored, medium beige creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is malty, roasted and dark chocolate, brown sugar, coconut, bit dark fruit. Taste is medium+ sweet dark chocolate and roasted malt, brown sugar, some coconut, molasses, bit alcohol, some dark fruits. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. (on tap, Craft Room, Zagreb)

3.9 Coconut, chocolate and coffee aroma, some moldy wood. Pitch black color with medium sized creamy brown head. Taste is kind of mild, chocolate, cocoa, light coconut, chocolate biscuit, licorice. Medium body, soft carbonation, creamy. Nice. //tap at Craft Room

4.1 Black with a small light brown head - Dark malt and coconut aroma - Dark malt body with some chocolate notes with some bitterness and some coconut - The dark malt and chocolate flavour goes into the finish with some bitterness - This was real good

3.9 33 cl bottle purchased at Systembolaget. Near black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with earthy hops, coconut, molasses, liqourice, chocolate, coffee and roasted notes. Taste is sweet. Oily texture. Sweet finish well balanced with the earthy notes.

4.1 En copa, cerveza negra oleosa con una fina capa de espuma blanco hueso. Aroma bastante ligero para una Imperial Stout: caramelo no excesivamente dulce, chocolate, algo de café, avena y otros cereales, y una nota final de coco. El sabor es bastante brutal, con una presencia predominante de chocolate y café, y una más que notable aparición de coco que cuadra perfectamente en la cerveza. El aroma a coco perdura bastante en la nariz después del trago. De paladar sedoso y oleoso debido a la avena, y bastante dulzón. Una Imperial Stout perfectamente balanceada donde se aprecian claramente todos sus sabores, ideal para tomar como postre o merienda.

3.9 Flaska. Svart med ett beige skum. Dofter av rostad malt, hasselnöt och choklad. Smakinslag av choklad, torkad frukt, lakrits, kokos och rostad malt. Rostad avslutning. Medelkropp.

4.1 Pours dark brown, almost black, with a finger of a beige head and nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coconut and chocolate. Tastes sweet with bitter roast notes, mild coconut, milk chocolate and licorice, alcohol very well hidden. Body is lighter than expected, smooth and easy to drink, soft carbonation. Decent, tastes good but a too light bodied.

3.7 Bottle from Sterk Amsterdam. Roasty aroma with caramel malt, soft coconut, chocolate, molasses, and liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is full. The coconut is more modest than I expected. Quite nice, though it really needs a lot more coconut.

4.0 Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, earthy coconut, malt, licorice and mocha. Taste has sugary coconut, milk chocolate, red fruit, caramel, licorice, mocha and a coconut dominated finish. Nice coconut stout, not like a bounty, but more earthy. I like it.

3.6 Bottle 33 cl. Balck with a light brown head. Aroma of Chocolate, coconut and burned malt. Sweet with light bitterness, warm chocolate and malt end. Nice Bb. 03.2019

3.5 Bottle - pours dark brown tan head - nose and taste of sweet roast chocolate, light coconut custard - medium bodied.

3.3 Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Smells of beautiful coconut on occsionn. Taste and immediate palate is oily but residual palate is a gorgeous coffee afterwards.

3.7 Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Black with no head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Boozy. Palm sugar, rum-chocolates, plastics. Big sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation.
