3.8Nice amber color with a thick head. Kicks in with a explosion of hops,as would be expected from this kind of dipa. No surprises, its a good brew.
3.4Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy bronze color with a big, beige head. Hoppy aroma of pine needles, bread, caramel and dried apricot in the background. Has a very hoppy flavor filled with grass, grains, harpix, pine and grapefruit. Is full-bodied with a slick mouth feel, and a heavy bitterness. A decent DIPA but the aroma is quite careful for the style. Pretty bitter as well.
3.5Bottle @ Ølkonsortiets sommerfest. Pours unclear amber with a white head. Aroma of resin, ripe fruits, sweet malts, grains and orange. Taste has lots of sweet malts, resin, grassy hops, orange and ripe fruits.
3.2Bottle share. Crystal clear, amber with a nice white head. Not a lot of aroma, a little hay and fruit. Nice hop flavour, not a lot of bitterness. More barley wine than IPA.
3.7Absolutely classic style IPA with loads of hops and some fresh lemon curds in its back. Heavily drinkable, great nose full of aromatic hops and some balanced carbo. In the end, moderate bitterness and easy drinkability. Good one.
3.7Bottle from trade with siranselm - many thanks, Markus! The beer has got a light hazy amber-orange colourn with a small head and medium body. Aroma of hops, pine and oranges. Taste of hops, pine, citrus fruits, mango, orange zest, flowers, herbs and white bread. Hoppy-dry finish with a fruity characater. Enjoyed it.
3.533cl bottle from cerveteca lisboa, portugal. Color is orange to brown. Head is thin. Medium body, a bit sticky. Medium bitterness, low to medium sweetness. Aroma is orange, hoppy, piney, caramel.
3.3Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Pours deep amber. Medium amount of slightly orange head. Grapefruit, alcohol, caramel and malt nose. Medium to thick body. Oily. Round. Soft carbonation. Bitter. Pine, grapefruit, citrus and some malt flavour. Feels a bit old (bottle says best before january 2016).
3.7Flaska. Oklar bärnstensfärgad vätska med ett medelstort och långvarigt gulvitt skum. Dofter av malt, kåda, citrus och karamell. Smakinslag av karamell, kåda, grapefrukt, malt och apelsinskal. Fyllig kropp. Medelbeska, snyggt uppbackad av en lätt sötma. Oljig munkänsla.
3.2Amber color, beige head. Ripe fruit nose, caramel, grapefruit, hint of tobacco. Caramel taste, resin, grapefruit, moderate bitterness. Medium body, soft to flat carbonation, oily texture.
3.9330 ml, flaske, 8,0 % ABV, BB 02/10/15, gave fra laboko og hans "svensk-bosatte" kollega - tak! 24. april 2015.
Mørk sirupsfarvet og ufiltreret Imperial IPA med 3 cm stor offwhite skumkrone, som svinder til gardiner og et par mm top i kanten efter en halv snes minutter. Ganske rolig i glasset.
3.6(330ml bottle, ~ 2mo, from Systembolaget) Pours clear dark amber with a dense off white head. Aroma sweet caramel, some orange and grapefruit peel, but with some pine and soapy floral notes too, overall impression quite sweet. On the palate, caramel and lightly bready core, sweet orange, grapefruit peel, vaguely tropical fruity, pine/floral character from middle on. Finish is moderately bitter with citrus zest, pine resin, a little wet vegetation, malt sweetness persists to offset. Medium oily body, average carbonation, no alcohol heat. Not a bad DIPA but sweet and not aggressively hoppy. Easy to drink.
3.5Bottle. Light amber, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel and some tropical fruitiness with some grapefruit - light piney hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit - piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, some caramel - faint bread, some tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppyness, faint alcohol. Well hopped DIPA, although too much caramel. Also could be drier.
3.5Pours golden brown with a white head. Sweet fruity aromas. Taste is the same as nose, fruity tones, balanced to the sweeter side with a slightly bittering finish. I prefer the dipas to be drier than this and that is what puts down the numbers some marks. Still a good beer and how can it not be with those hops!
3.5Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a dense, off-white head. Heavy citrusy hops paired with caramel. Rich, fat caramellish body, heavy on the perfumy hops. Not overly bitter. A DIPA on the sweet side, but I like it. 270315
3.833 cl systembolaget. En ny öl som lätt kvalar in i "vill alltid ha hemma stallet". Mycket god.
3.9Drucken på flaska. Frukter så det står härliga till, aprikos, grape och citrus. Bärnstensfärgad, något grumlig, med gräddig krona. Fantastisk bira. Värd!
3.9How: Bottle Appearance: Cloudy amber, off-white head Aroma: Citrus, fruits, berries Palate: medium body, average carbonation.
3.7330 ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm.
Dark amber, hazy body, with a big, creamy, slightly beige head, that laces a lot.
Quite light aroma of grapefruit, pine, tropical fruits.
Tastes of grapefruit, pine, resin, sweet berries, peach, some tropical fruits, tea, biscuit.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, citric, zesty, resinous, subtly sweet malty.
Very good! While the nose is a bit disappointing, the taste is really enjoyable, with various impressions, of bitter resinous hops, lots of fruits and different malt notes. Overall a really nice, quaffable IPA, but still by far not the best I’ve had from Sweden.
3.3Bottle sample at a tasting at Mastikim. Thanks zvsn. Pours orange to brown with a small head, aroma of carambola, melon, passion fruit, flavor is bitter with carambola, tangerine, pomelo and malt, medium bodied.
4.0Aroma has tropical fruits, mango and grapefruit. Some resin. Pours hazy amber with a small head that leaves some beautiful lacing. Taste is heavily bitter and has medium sweetness. Malty backbone that works very well. Some resin in taste also. Medium body with average carbonation. Long bitter and sweet finish. Excellent beer!
3.7(Electric Nurse DIPA) Bottle 330 ml from PMgem, thanks for this nice extra! Served into a teku, ABV 8%
Dark orange colour on the body, small white head with good density and retention, medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, caramel malts, light resin.
Mildly bitter taste with resin, hops, grass, some pine, balancing the sweetness of caramel malts and fruits. Well hidden alcohol. Long aftertaste.
Medium body with good carbonation, very dry on the palate.
Very good!
3.833 cl. bottle from Systembolaget, Hammarby Sjöstad. Hazy, amber colour with a creamy, lightly tanned head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grass, grape, pines and caramel malts. Taste is bitter. Full body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. A good palate. Long lasting dry and bitter finish with citrus fruits, resins, caramel malts and sweet, exotic fruits. Very enjoyable DIPA.
4.0Bottle @ home. Hazy Orange with a white head. Sweet aoma of grapefruit, mango, peach, toffee, bread and caramel in good balance. Taste is sweet and dry of grapefruit, hop resins, mango, toffee, caramel, sugar, pine apple, orange. Assertive grape-like and fruity bitterness in after taste. All in all it has a very good balance.
4.010-NOV-2014, bottle @home, from Systembolaget, Emporia.
Clear, amber with lasting, lacing tan head.
Aroma is hops - grape fruit, and pine but also some sweet malty, fruity notes. Taste the same with quite some caramel. Very nice, sweet and hoppy, above medium body, medium carbonation.
3.3Bottle shared at a tasting. Clear orange with a nice head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and grass. Sweet, fruity, grassy, green, not toם bitter, slightly sour. Medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel.
3.4Bottle sample at a tasting at Mastikim, Ra’anana. Thanks zvsn. Hazy orange with small off-white head. Medium hoppy aroma, notes of onion, date honey, light caramel, toffee. Very sweet flavor, toffee, light hoppy, notes of onion, faint date honey notes. Light carbonation, medium to full-bodied.
3.0Had two bottles of this one, different tasting ones at that. Aroma is sticky resiny blood grapefruit. Taste is almost exclusively that too, i´m drinking it wishing it had more piney tones!
Bottle from SB.
2.8Bottle sample at a tasting at Mastikim. Thanks zvsn. Hazy deep gold. Aroma of stale hops, a bit fruity. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, stale hops and some bitterness. Medium-bodied.
3.9Aroma is on the lower end in both the malt and hops, but pleasantly sweet. The taste experience is nice and smooth - almost a little like honey and the hops lightly tap dances around on your tongue before exiting, leaving you with a mature, dry, bitterness. Excellent stuff, and the color is lovely also!
