Always inventive Elysian pushes the envelope with this IPA flavored with jasmine flowers. Avatar starts with a fresh, floral jasmine aroma that proceeds to creamy malt undertones.

3.6bb Backlog, Bottle, Pours murky and hazy golden brown with an average white head. Aroma is pretty nice: herbs, jasmine, grass hops, lavender, and pine. Flavor was muddled with some flowers and light jasmine but not enough compared to the scent. Bitter finish with some random flowers and sweet malt.
3.4On tap. Pours a nice copper color with decent head and bits of lacing. Aroma is floral with bit of citrus, fruit and slight malt sweetness. Taste is floral with fruit, subtle malt sweetness and citrus. Nice bitterness and a clean finish. Medium body, with a nice hop feel. Easy drinker.
4.7Unique flavors with a smooth IPA bitterness. Paired well with doughy appetizer, and had a hint of citrus.
3.5On tap at brewpub. A clearish golden orange ale with a resilient white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, green tea. Flavor is grapefruit, lemon and lime. Finish is green tea, grass, grapefruit, lemon and lime. Lingering herbal flavors. Full body, weak to average carbonation.
2.8Pours a clear golden yellow with a big white foamy head. Not much flavor or aroma. I was expecting a floral flavoring but didn’t taste it.
3.4Bottle 65cl / Botella 65cl
@ Tanakaya Liquor Store, Tokyo, Japon
A: Hazy golden / Dorado turbio.
T/S: Sweet, fruity, grapefruit, jasmine / Dulce, afrutado, uva, jazmin.
3.6Pours a nice clear amber. Aromas of jasmine and hops. Flavors of grapefruit and orange. Nice hop flavor with a spicy edge.
3.7Draft at Moriartys. Hazy dark orange pour with just a slim ring of foam and some happenstance of lace. Bit sweet and chewy for an IPA. Full-bodied. The jasmine helps dry down, or at least brings nice complexity to, the prevalent medium caramel sugars. Earthy tangerine/mandarin hops. Interesting and unusual but ultimately too sweet to recommend as an IPA.
3.8From 22 ounce bottle to wine glass
Appearance: Orange in color, a bit hazy
Aroma: smell of hops, fragrant very floral
Taste: Bitter with sweet aftertaste
Mouth feel: A bit fizzy
Overall: Very good beer
3.6Tap at draftkings, staples center. Hazy orange color, white head. Aroma has hops, some flower notes. Hoppy body, some vanilla notes, fruits. Pretty nice.
3.3Bottle pour. Clear golden with a small soapy white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, and honey. Medium body. Good sweet taste with a light salty finish.
3.5Rating #1225 - On tap @Underground_yeg. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is floral, jasmine On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, floral notes. Medium bodied and off balance. Jasmine goes into an herbal territory thats a little off putting for me. Not my favourite.
3.7Bomber. Pours hazy amber. Aroma is heavy jasmine and floral, toasted and caramel malts, and light pineapple. Flavor is sweet and tasty with floral notes prevalent along with soft sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body.
2.8Bottle from Hatos Bar. Clear gold copper with a medium-sized soapy eggshell-colored head. Some honey and jasmine tea all over the nose. Taste is fairly well-balanced until the jasmine kicks in on the finish and lingers. Very weird tea-like beer. Not my thing.
2.6Appearance: has a very minimal off white head, the beer is a hazy bronze color
Aroma: very floral, tangerine,
Taste: orange syrup sweetness, minimal bitterness for an ipa,
Palate: soft carbonation, heavier mouthfeel, minimal aftertaste
Overall: kind of let down, too sweet for me and too fruity also, smells really good
4.0Les notes de tête sont de la fleur de jasmin ainsi que du blé.Nuances de miel l. Fraîcheur du houblon
3.3Tap at the brewery. Pint glass. Copper in color with a slight haze. Mild head. Aroma is mostly floral with mild citrus. Taste brings the jasmine to the table which is actually pretty appreciated. Floral notes with a thin mouthfeel. Relatively tame flavor profile overall with the floral remaining present. Bitterness at the end. Decent effort but I want a fuller taste and more satisfying mouthfeel.
3.5Rated based on notes taken 28 Apr 2012 -- Floral aroma, sweet and floral flavor, hops not very aromatic or powerful. Pleasant bitterness.
3.0On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A medium Amber beer with white head. Faint floral nose. On the palate the floral note is evident and not to my taste, frankly. Reminds me of tea, which is not something I normally associate with beer. vaguely pleasant, but a 4 oz taster is more than enough, thanks. 3.
3.8Draft pour pint at the fields location. Pours a light clear copper color with a short foam head. Wonderful white grape aroma. Smells like a sour beer. Flavor is very floral as expected with a ton of grape and berry flavor. Sweet, and super drinkable. Very tasty
3.6Finger white head, golden color, light cloudy, good lacing. Aroma: jasmine, wheat, floral hops, light caramel. Palate: light body, average carbonation, bitter finish, dry finish. Taste: sweet caramel, with jasmine overwhelming the palate for a brief second, on into floral and piney hops that overwhelm and finish out the taste. Overall, very refreshing, interesting, liked this more out of a bottle than on tap, the jasmine is less overwhelming.
3.1On draft at the local bar a different type of ipa. Floral smell and taste was bitter with the jasmine adding a taste of Tea. Not my favorite or one I would recommend to a friend
3.6Pours a hazy orange with a small fluffy white head. Aromas of clove, tons of floral, jasmine, and fruity. Taste was medium sweetness, not much bitter. Not exaclty my favorite style, but well done enough for me to give a solid rating. Body felt light with a creamy texture and lively carbonation. Well done and interesting beer.
3.8Ok, very good spice aroma, good hoppy flavor, pours a clea orange and good clean IPA flavors.
3.6Pretty good ipa with a twist from Elysian brewing in Seattle. One of my favorite breweries by far.
4.2The aroma is citrus and floral with undertones of cloves . The color is a dark orange with a cloudy appearance. The head is somewhat thin. The taste is on the sweet side not a bitter ipa. The body is light with a slick texture. The carbonation is average. The finish is astringent. Overall this is definitely a winner in my book, what a great beer.
2.722 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Clear dark golden orange with plenty of tiny bits of sediment and two fingers of off-white head. Aromas of big floral and herbal notes, flowers, light citrus. Tastes of floral, herbal and flowery notes, light citrus, caramel and sweet malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Probably my least favorite from Elysian.
3.4Gold pour, frothy white head. Big time jasmine. Super floral. Frothy and light bitterness. Really clean and smooth with a touch of pepper
3.1Tried at Hopscotch. A different style of IPA, with a floral slant. Taste was similar to drinking a jasmine ice-t. Not my style for a beer.
