3.7 12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Lexington. A dark pour with some roast and chocolate and lactose.
3.8 Great in all sorts. Malty and quite creamy with fine aroma and strong aftertaste. Easy to enjoy in a sniffer.
3.0 甜,酒體薄
4.2 咖啡可可焦糖乳香 咖啡味堅果 細密剛好的碳酸感 清爽柔滑的口感 最後一點酒花苦韻帶有巧克力感 18/05/20@啤啤
3.7 Nice pleasant milk stout. Chocolate and espresso with roasted note. Nice smooth body. Not too heavy.
3.5 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark opaque brown with an enormous tan head and lots of lacing. Scents of malt and chocolate. The falvor has coffee and vanilla. A creamy mouthfeel with an astringent long finish. Very nice.
4.1 Btl pours a Dark brown color with a huge fluffy tan head that hangs around leaving lots of lace on glass. Smells of coffee, chocolate, burnt brown sugar and a hint of alcohol. Tastes of coffee, cocoa, dark bread, malted milk balls and sweet cream. Medium body, soft, creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation and a lightly chalky, tongue tingling finish. The Coffee and milk flavors are not overwhelming yet very pronounced. This beer is one of the silkiest, smoothest, easy to drink stouts ever. Coffee and beer, can it get any better? Outstanding!
4.0 A beautiful pour! Black with a cappuccino colored head, thinly bubbled, lots of lace. Nose is cocoa, mocha, milk and coffee grounds. Thick and creamy, lacto, chocolate bars and cocoa powder, charred wood, slightly chalky finish... Lingering coffee, very enjoyable.
3.6 Pours thick black with thin head. Aroma is espresso and roast. Taste is instantly sweet caramel and raisin, warming to coffee and a roast finish. A good sweet stout.
4.1 12 oz. bottled 01/11/2018. Deep chocolate color with a lasting creamy film on top. Rich espresso with cream, cocoa and a touch of caramel in the aroma. Flavors of espresso with sour cream, berry, graham cracker and bittersweet baker's chocolate. A nice little touch of resin develops in the long finish. Almost medium bodied with medium carbonation and a drinkable balance overall for a dessert stout.
3.0 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small foamy dark tan head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with notes of cola, brewed coffee and floral hops. The flavor was bitter, dryish and roasty with coffee, vanilla and floral hops; Long finish. Medium bodied and creamy. Ok.
3.5 Tap at TNT. Did not know it was Elysian, or I would not have bought it. Nose if coffee, cream. Lightly sweet lactose flavor, coffee, cocoa. A bit think and light, slightly spicy finish. Decent.
3.6 malty and coffee aromas. pitch black in color with huge long lasting light brown head. medium body. taste is malty with notes of coffee, and faint milk chocolate
3.5 Coffee and chocolate like a typical stout, but well-balanced flavors with some cola qualities. Bod is creamy, but somewhat watery and medium-lite in consistency, though this may be expected from the lower abv. Very "drinkable" for a stout.
3.4 tap. coffee, cocacola, chocolate, not over-the-top sweet which I respect, nice thick mf with just a bit of hop tartness there to round it out
3.6 bottle. Near black with one finger head. Medium malt body, lots of roast. Rather sweet. Espresso adds substantial coffee flavor. Smooth lactose.
3.8 Sample at Daily Growler UA. The beer pours black with some brown around the edges, and a medium tan head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of coffee, roast malt and chocolate. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
4.7 Such a smooth, creamy sipping experience. Would almost forget it was a beer if I wasn't drinking it out of the bottle! Coffee notes are solid and strong but not overpowering. A truly enjoyable drink.
3.8 Bottle: Dark with a tan frothy head and a band of sticky lacing. Coffee and malts with sugar. Thin feel with a bit of coffee bitterness. Quite tasty!
4.3 bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Solid aroma of lightly roasted malt with an earthy edge. Opaque brown-black color, deep tan head that sticks at a thin cover, hanging strands of lace. Taste is roasted malt that takes on a slightly bitter edge, mild carbonation, and then the addition of coffee with cream and brown sugar that turns back toward bitter in a long, satisfying finish. An exceptional brew.
4.4 Loved the roasty flavors in this stout with the subtle sweetness. One of my favorite coffee stouts by Elysian.
4.1 Tap at mellow mushroom na. Pour is dark and thick with good head. Good head is the best. Coffee and mild nut smokiness. More sugar than needed but a good stout - bit of milk stout in there too.
3.1 Bottle from Beers of the World. Aroma of coffee and cocoa. A bit over-carbonated.
3.7 Draught @ Malt & Mold. Inky black with small foamy beige head, sharp coffee beans aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter mocha taste, thin body, long mocha finish with coffee aftertaste. Nice brew.
5.0 Very smooth stout
4.9 Probably my favorite beer of all time next to Guinness or Breckenridge Orange Stout. Just a great, interesting taste for both cold and warm Colorado weather.
4.1 On tap @ Mudville 9. Theres a really good looking dense almost nitro head on this, coffee latte in color and hefty lacings. The beer itself is as good as black in the glass. Mild nose. I do get some roastiness blended with dark cardboard, cold coffee, thin chocolate and something that reminds me of nut bar. Nice stuff. Tastes superb also. Has to be nitro as its super smooth d creamy in the mouth and soft prickling on the bubbles. Really round and balanced between the chocolates, the roastiness and the cold coffee. Scary lightdrinkable, not too sweet at all. Latte creaminess and coffee flavor. More dry than sweet IMO. A really good one. 13.06.2015
3.1 i enjoy the java so i’ll jump in the lava .. . coffee grounds and light ash .. mash and coco rounds .. mouth is medium, as is the finish .. good but not sure of the high score, budweiser probably fucked something up in this, the cunts..
3.8 Draft at Aces. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is dme, date, coffee. Flavor is sweet, creamy with coffee. Hints is dark malt as well.
3.8 Pours a black color with a brown head. Aroma is of lots of coffee with some milk chocolate. Flavor is mostly coffee throughout with the chocolate and roasted malts. Slightly biter finish.
