3.6A deep dark black ipa with a thin mocha head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light sulfur, pleasant. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, resinous and piney hops, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Bièropholie, 6 years old.
3.5330ml bottle pours opaque black with thick creamy tan head. Smokey aromas of tobacco, dark cocoa and roasted malt. Tastes of molasses, dark chocolate, smokiness, pine resin, subtle citrus hops, dark fruit and some herbal characters. Long finish with espresso bitterness and slight astringency. Very dark flavour profile with just enough sweetness to make the bitterness palatable.
Nice bitter.
3.6Mooi zwart winterbier van deze brouwers uit Goes. 8% alcohol, vrij hoppig voor een donker bier. Roast smaak.

Looks the part - near black body, near opaque, holds a firm tan head with dense lace.
Hops are slightly tired on the aroma - cooked citrus, pine, dried leafy herb, with dark malt notes of instant coffee, roast nuts & molasses.
Fairly well carbed, body not nearly as you'd expect for an 8%er, acrid roast cuts through adding dryness, as does hops bitter...and booze presumably.
More malt driven than hoppy - dark chocolate, coffee, treacle/burnt sugars, charred nuts with supporting bitter citrus rind & leafy earthy sort of (American?) hops. Good slug of bitterness, once again get the sort of acrid coffee-like dry roastiness to finish.
Hits hard with that booze, slight bit rough around the edges - sort of wanted more body for it's weight - but it's probably a tad old.
4.1Opaque black color with a gigantic brownish head, creamy and with excellent behavior. Roasted aromas, freshly roasted coffee and caramelized brown sugar with notes of dark chocolate. Intense bitterness in mouth, earthy and burnt with ash and a long bitter chocolate and licorice aftertaste. Body on the light side, watery and with a shy, fresh contribution from the hops, intense bitterness and medium carbonation. A very roasted black IPA with little presence of hops, but bitter as a proper IPA. A rich mix of flavors, well integrated with alcohol and inviting to take it slow.
3.5Bottle at de paas den haag, a bit expensive though. Black color with one of the most bizarre toppings I've ever seen, beige head mounts up Rocky as a mountain, it seems a damn ice cream. Flavors of fortified wine, oats, burnt malt, dried plums, some charcoal. Taste strangely sweet, hops bitterness is minimal, hops in general is very low profile.
3.8Fles 33cl thuis. Erg bitter. Hoppige drogige, roast smaak. Lange nadronk. Geen doordrink bier. (3-2012).
3.7Bottle 0,33L. Pours black color with huge, creamy, light brown head. Aroma of fruits mixed with caramel. Taste is very bitter with long lasting aftertaste.
3.8Bottle@home, from Uma & Humal, Tallinn, Estonia. Strong, balanced and acidic nuances of roasted malts, some resin and hops. A hint of dark fruits. Quite bitter though full. Medium taste spectrum with long, dry aftertaste with roasted malts and a hint of dark fruits. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, sturdy, good quality product but too few sweet nuances and too simple for the percentage.
3.7(~levure, agrumes fins, bouche onctueuse-moussue, légère, sobre, finale amère, last dry-amer-fumé, alcool voyant)
3.1Rami Rami is drinking a BIPA by Brouwerij Emelisse at Powiśle
Aromat w strone stouta choc i sosnowosc sie paleta. Jakis karmel tez. Wytrawne. Wysoka i nie do konca fajna goryczka. Raczej rozczarowanie
Rami Rami: a, z zalet, to zero alko :)
4.0Light coffee and tons of fruit. Pitch black color with small sized brown head. Extremely tasty coffee, some sweet tropical fruit, slightly bitter, well balanced, hints of smoke/bacon. Medium body, soft carbonation. Just wonderful. //bottle
4.0Thuis uit een flesje. Zwart met bruine kraag, mooi. Goed vol van smaak, heerlijk winterbier.
4.1Rauchschwaden ziehen über die süßholzbemulchten Hopfenfelder. A Bittersweet Boozer with a Black-Tropic-Heart🖤Kohlensäure?
3.3Black beer with little beige head. Malty aroma with some dark fruits, hops. Taste is roasted malt, raisin, licorice, lots of hops. Aftertaste is burnt malts and bitter hops. Medium sweet, very hoppy. Drinkable but little bit overburnt.
3.3330ml bottle. Black beer, medium tan head. Nose is grapefruity hops mixed with roast and sweet cocoa notes. Flavor is resiny bitterness with roast and acidic notes. Finish is spicy bitter, grapefruit pith and grapefruit seeds. Resiny hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Feels oily. A bit too much for me on the bitterness front, but hides the ABV well.
4.0Bottle from 100 piv. Aroma: fruity, tropic fruit, citrus, floral aroma, slightly malty sweetness. Dark color with brown notes, big long lasting beige head, oily texture, medium body. Taste: tropical fruit, lime, alcohol is notable, but not that strong. Nice lasting bitterness. Pretty good cascadian.
3.5Bottle. BBE June 2018; Drank Sept 2017 - Opaque black in colour. Good creamy beige head. Good lacing. Very malty; roasty malts, slightly burnt, coffee, chocolate, liquorice. Citrus fruity; grapefruit. Hoppy; good hop bitterness, piney hops. Bitter roast malty citrus fruity and hoppy throughout. Increasingly bitter dry burnt roast into a liquorice finish. (2017-09)

3.9Nice and intense IPA with that special smokey rye flavour of a black beer. But still more refreshing as most black IPAs.
3.7Dark robe with foamy creamy white brown-ish head.
Smells of hops, coffee and herbs.
Medium body with a bit of a creamy texture.
Palate of caramel and coffee.
Strong bitter finish with notes of herbs and licorice.
Can taste the alcohol a bit too much for this ABV.
A quite solid but not original BIPA.
3.5It is that black is not my favourite, but this beer is very likeable. Missing the carbonation.
3.5W nosie słabo/średnio intensywnie, trochę słodkich tropików, czekolady i lasu. Barwa ciemno brązowa, rubinowe przebłyski, klarowne, bardzo ładna, wysoka, gęsta, beżowa piana. W smaku sporo słodyczy i paloności, gorzka czekolada, kawa, karmel, rodzynki/śliwki w czekoladzie. Goryczka średnia, palona. W ustach fajnie kremowe, alco dobrze ukryty. Butelka do 31.12.2017
3.6The aroma is hops, spruce/grass. Pours a dark copper/brown with a creamy tan head, mostly lasting and excellent lacing. The taste is bitter. The body is medium, the texture creamy a touch watery, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter and a little astringent. Not bad.
3.6Bottle. Deep dark colour with stable white creamy head off . Aroma is mild, some roasted coffee and fruits. Taste of roasted coffee, nuts, dark chocolate with mixture of citrus fruits. Moderate carbonation.Overall very drinkable beer
3.6Black beer with good head. Aroma is quite mild with exotic fruits and roast. Taste has exotic fruits, roast, malts and toffee. The end is bitter with grapes. Dry and sour end. Very special mixture of everything.
3.8Nez: Chocolat, résineux
Bouche: Chocolat noir, pamplemousse, résineuse, sécheresse, liquoreuse
Une BIPA simple mais bien faite
