This strong, blonde abbey beer, which is re-fermented in the bottle, tastes of citrus, pineapple, peach, nectarine and herbs. Malt and hops, which are both nicely balanced, for your taste buds. The attack has a hint of sweetness to it, and the finish packs a punch bordering on spicy.

3.2 Not a bad Belgian tripel: clean, nice, soft bitterness, otherwise quite bland. For me , like so many tripels mostly alcoholic overkill for it's lack of taste.

3.3 This is a backlog rating from 2008 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are citrus, honey, yeast, softer tripel.

3.5 Copenhagen 24/2 2019, 33 cl bottle from Køl Webshop (kolbeer.com). Serious looking Black label with a little vignette with a Monk kissing a Beer Glass. Pours slightly unclear, golden yellow with big white head. A little bubbly. Settles as thin but fluffy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is yeasty, sweetish and with tart fruity notes. Sweet malts and grains, humid basement with sharp citric notes. Notable presence of alcohol. Medium carbonation. Medium thick, soft, creamy, oily texture. Flavor is medium sweet and intense. Followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a yeasty spiciness. Lingering. Fine boozy, Tripel without much bitterness. I can understand the Monk's urge to give it a little kiss.

3.4 Das Ename ist ein typisches Tripel. Die Geschmacksnoten nach Kardamon und Koriander sind gut vorhanden, werden aber von der Alkohollastigkeit zu sehr überdeckt.

3.7 Licht blond bier. Genoeg koolzuur. Geur mout, kruidig. Smaak zurig, kruiden, mout, bloesem. Nasmaak naar bitter, kruiden, beetje peper, medium mondgevoel. Best ok voor uit een Belgische supermarkt

3.1 Robe dorée vif, légèrement voilée, mousse très abondante, à grosses bulles, mais éphémère. Nez plutôt robuste, sur le malt et la levure. En bouche, beaucoup de corps, grosse rondeur, présence de l'alcool. Très riche, des arômes de levure, de fruit mûr, de malt concentré, sans arôme torréfié. On est vraiment sur de la triple charpentée, quoiqu'un poil trop sucrée. Gagnerait à avoir un peu plus de houblon pour équilibrer. Sympa néanmoins dans le genre, mais on n'en boit qu'une.

4.2 Slightly hazy golden with e decent white head, that dilapidates quickly. Grainy and fruity aroma, like some good cheese cake. Creamy texture. Taste is grain, fruit, some booze, yet mild enough. Quite good.

1.7 Sterke schuimkraag, ligt zwaar in de mond (word je slecht dronken van vrees ik), te moutig naar mijn smaak, niet mijn bier... Tournee General : naam verwijst naar de Ename abdij. De ruïnes zijn nog steeds te bezoeken in deze deelgemeente van Oudenaarde in de Vlaamse Ardennen. Brouwerij Roman lanceerde de Ename Tripel in 1990 naar aanleiding van een openluchtspektakel in deze ruïnes.

3.3 Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy golden pour, one finger creamy white head. Long lasting, excellent retention. Thick lacing on the glass. Nose is belgian yeast, caramel, apple cider. Medium body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture. Taste is combination of sweet and sour. Belgian yeast, caramel malt, sugar, syrup. Some citrus tart, apples - really has this cider-like thing going on. But overall it's still more on the sugary sweet side. Notable alcohol notes, but not too agressive. Short finish with apples in the aftertaste. Overall, decent tripel. Not bad.

3.5 Tap@Skaal, Copenhagen (10/04/2018) - golden coloured pour with a white covering. Fruity citrus notes with some lemon, orange and touch of grapefruit, sweet malty backing, some doughy yeast, medium bodied, some herbal spiced hoppy notes into the finish.

3.5 From tap at D'Afspraak. Aroma of chees, hops, cinnamon, grass. Poured dark blond with a thick foamy lasting head. Lots of sparkling. Head is lovely lacing. Taste is rather sweet. Sugar. Some light bitterness. Sweet finish. Heavy.

3.9 Golden, looks like a traditional pilsner. Aroma typical of a tripel, has yeast and apples. Taste a bit dry for a tripel, dominated by apples and ripe gooseberries. A moderate bitterness at the end. Nice tripel, but perhaps not one of the very best.

3.4 Pours a clear golden body with a medium head. Fruity aroma with a yeasty touch. Taste is sweet syrup with yeasty esters.

3.9 Thanks Geisser for this bottle that I have drunk in your flat at Lausanne after a huge raclette!!!!! I think that this beer is a bit underrated but it is just a personnal view. It is a classical tripel, easy to drink with a orange/brown body and slightly troubled, white foam. The taste is fruity with plum and few figs, malty, feel the alcool but it is find, some hop, sweet at the final sip and well balanced.
