3.5 Bottle 0,5ltr with screw cap: Dark brown colored brew with an smoothly dry bitter taste, hints of roasted malts, some caramel and an slightly dark chocolate.
3.5 Bottle. Moderate roasted, cereal and caramel for the malt, light herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with cola and brown sugar in the background. Head is small, fizzy/frothy, off-white, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky dark brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly bittersweet. Palate is medium, a little slick, with a lively to fizzy carbonation. A smooth and easy drinking Dunkel.
3.7 Bottle, 50 cl. Very pleasant dunkel: smooth and gentle, malt dominates. Went well with brie on a chilly evening.
2.4 Brown yellowish color. Head is a quite stable, medium size.Smell is not so bright:malts and a little bit caramel. Taste is a watery, malty, pleasant mostly. Aftertaste repeates the taste but with more bitter in the end. Okay, but not my style.
2.9 Bottle. Dark brown, nearly black. Small head. Aroma and taste are dominated by malts, honey and caramel. Sweet and watery. Very süffig but not outstanding. Decent Dunkel.
3.1 Pours brown from the bottle and leaves a thin but attractive frothy head with moderate lacing. Aroma is malty sweet with lots of caramel, hints of vegetables, and knd of musty. Taste has a grainy bitterness and stale old leather notes that contrasts starkly with the underlying caramel & chocolate sweetness. Body is medium over a fairly fizzy palate. Finish is short and disjointed. Kind of disapponting. Rerate on 03/2017. Overall noticed more chocolate and caramel, and the flavors melded better. Upped from 2.4 to 2.6 Rerate on 06/2021. Noticeable plum this time. None of the veggie tones mentioned in the first review. Palate and finish still need work. Still climbing though. 2.6 to 3.1

2.9 Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, strong caramel, toffee, spicy notes, touch of nuts and dried fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, though I had hoped for a little more Keller and a little less Dunkel.
3.3 Clear amber body with a medium off white head. Aroma is malty, roasted, caramel. Taste is sweet and low bitter. Texture is watery, carbonation is soft, light body.
2.8 500 ml bottle. Shared with my buddy being both wasted already. Clear dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma: toffee, sweet malts, herbal notes. The taste didn’t surprise me. Standard sweetish dunkel with some aches or whatever. Still it’s drinkable.
3.2 50 cl bottle during Easter 2016, thanks to my uncle. Clear dark brown color, tan head. Malty, sweet, caramel, light herbal taste. Herbal, grainy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Malty, grainy scent.
3.2 Pours cloudy brown color with 2 finger tall head. Medium retention. Smells dough, yeasts... Tastes roasted malts, bready finish. Perfect carbonation. Nice.
1.9 Hazy brown unfiltered beer with average head. The nose is dominated by malts with some caramel and honey and already announces a sweet taste. There’s almost no bitterness to go with it, in fact there’s hardy a trace of any hops at all. It’s just a malty slightly watery drink. Not satisfying.
3.3 0,5 l Flasche.
2.9 Tap @ derat, medium sample. Clear brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of caramel, toast, slight sugar. Medium sweet in taste, soft bitterness, caramel, toasted malts, bit sugary sweetness. Ok.
3.4 Ganske god og behagelig mørk øl. Frisk smag og flot farve. Savner dog nogle nuancer i aromaen.

2.5 Bottle at a restaurant i Heiligenhafen. Very light smell. Sweet malty taste with caramel. Not very dark malty. The colour doesn’t match the taste, it doesn’t have the dark malty aromas you would expect. Food colouring?
3.4 aroma of dark fruit, some yeast and some barn scents. Nice orange brown color with a huge tan head that lasts forever. Sweetness up front has hints of bread, plum, and some toffee. Bitterness floats in nicely. Cuts sweetness with balance. Nice carbonation, slightly slick mouth feel. Finish is slightly bitter, calling you back for more. Good beer.
3.7 Brown hazy, tall frothy head, stays, nice laces. The nose is earthy with notes of dried fruit (especially prune) & wine. Medium body. Thin to oily texture. The flavour starts with mild fruity sweetness accompanied later by winy note & balanced hop bitterness. Roasty notes are also present but fairly moderately. In the ending shows the hoppy bitterness more obvious. Oh it’s good.
3.0 *Old rating, best before 16.04.04. Malzig-trockenes Bier mit einer schönen Herbe. Frisch-würzig, trocken mit einer milden Hefenote.
2.8 Bottle 0.5l. Hazy brownish with small beige head. Aroma of prune, notes of cherry and date honey. Sweet prune flavor, notes of carob and cherry, somewhat spicy, some graininess, light sourness and a bit salty. Moderate carbonation, medium-bodied.
2.8 Aroma: fruity sweet with notes of nuts. Flavour: roasted nutty with fruity slightly sour notes. Colour: brown with a light brown head.
2.7 Bottle. Dark reddish brown with white film. Malty, oxidized, some chocolate and ripe pear aroma, tastes sweetish, a little alcoholic bitterness follows. Medium body, fine carbonation and oxidized, slightly rotten aftertaste.
3.1 (Bottle, Aufsturz, Berlin, 24 July 2014) Reddish brown colour with lasting, beige head. Malty nose with notes of roasted malt, crisp-bread and spicy hops. Malty, slightly roasted taste with crisp-bread, chocolate and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable.
