Epic Brainless on Peaches

Epic Brainless on Peaches

This beer has a rich and complex malt flavor balance with a bit of spicy noble hops. The peach is very subtle but noticeable, with a dry finish from the champagne yeast in the 2nd fermentation in the French Chardonnay barrels.

4.2 Light floral fragrant peach over a vanilla cream aroma. Clear blond thin but active head. Soft spices blend with a nice woody vanilla peach bite. Medium body leaves a light stain behind.
3.5 22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold with a white head that fizzles away quickly. The beer has a juicy peach character to it, with notes of dry wine. Some funky notes come through on the back end. Fairly sweet. The peach gets a bit lost. As the beer warms, the Belgian yeast esthers become more noticeable. I get white pepper and dry wood. Big body and moderate carbonation.
2.2 Bottle in Encinitas with Bri. Terrible. Steel Reserve with peaches, not undrinkable but really bad and incredibly overpriced. Crazy thing is the sour BA version of this beer is so incredibly good, but this is not worthy of Epic.
3.1 Hazy pale orange, a tiny fizzy head, no lacing. Delicate aroma of peach flesh (not the typical artificial peach aroma). Thin to the palate, lot of peach and yeast, Belgian malts, a bit of booze in the end (release #64, 10.1%), but still easy to drink. A bit more than a Fanta with beer. Nothing amazing.
1.5 Why must I figger out the ABV? WTF? Why did I try this tap at industry public house? Too much money. The title was better than the beer, this stuff is so over the top alky that it becomes cloying, no peaches in the flavor initially and no peaches to the finishes, come on. Yes, you used peaches but the flavor is all fermented out, go figger. Way too expensive for this clear pale high alky fruit BS! Flat, some warming down the gullet. Not as good as I thought it would be, whew. Reminds me at times of a domestic barley wine. Not worth the extra cash. Not impressed.
4.5 Pours clear golden with a tiny white ring. Smells strongly of stone fruits and hints of wheat. Taste is fruity, sweet, hints of vanilla. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Epic Brainless on Peaches finishes with a lingering fruity tartness.
3.8 August 27th, 2014 - Moving from our darker, hoppier samplers, we now arrive at the sours, which I am beginning to think Epic specializes in. The bottles and bottles of various sours in the refrigerator are a good hint, but the menu is replete with them. For the first shot, we’ve got Brainless on Peaches, a light colored beer, with a fuzzy top for a head. White peach fills the air and nose, with bubble gum and fresh apple, too. It’s a light and refreshing smell, beckoning to Spring. The palate is similarly thin and delicate, and glides on the tongue like a cloud. Apple and peach flavors appear here too, reminding me of the juice at the bottom of a fruit cup. The mid-taste is dominated by peach, and the overall impression of the flavor almost has an ice cream like quality, smooth and sweet, but in an elegant fashion.
3.4 Peaches, peppery aroma, clear golden red color, thin body, low head retention. Sour clove, peach flavor.
3.6 Good....like a semi-dry champagne. The peach is very slight, almost unnoticed.
4.1 Rating #1901 - 2015.09.22 - Bottle from CBI. Pours a light hazy yellow colour, fairly thick white foam. Aroma and taste is sweet, apricots and peaches. Great belgian character as well, presence of yeast, wheat, coriander, mild clove, mild oaky Chardonnay vibe. ABV is surreally disproportionate to your perception, drinks as though it may be sessionable, I can assure you after punishing the bomber it is not. A crown jewel of fruit beers.
3.4 On tap. Pours a clear gold with a thin, white head that fully dissipates. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, peach, yeast, wood and white wine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, peach, yeast and wood with a dry, tart, alcohol finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation.
3.0 Pours a clear golden yellow with a big white foamy head. Some Belgian spices in the aroma. Taste isn’t that good. Some spices but not much peach flavor. Fairly ordinary. Nothing special.
3.7 poured a nice yellow color with a white head. mild to medium malt and lots of peaches in the nose and in the flavor solid offering a peach tart. small tartness throughout..very drinkable and delicious.
3.4 Served on tap epic brewery. Grain citrus aroma. Grain fruit citrus trying hard. Fruit control aroma and flavor., Directed Apple huuce
3.7 Golden pour with a minimal to no head. Aroma of oak, peaches, and stale bread. Flavor is oak and sticky sweet and slightly tart peach.Unique beer, kudos to that. Alcohol is well masked. Appearance and palate are subpar. Decent.
3.7 Bomber from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy golden with off-white head. Nose is peach chardonnay and hops. Tastes of peach, white wine, mild oak, yeast, and a dry, floral finish.
3.5 Release #67 10.6% alcohol to tulip Consummation: Very yeasty and malty BSA with subtle fruitiness. Adjunct: Light peach aroma with a hint of horse blanket; pepper and lemon round out the taste; clear light amber with no head.
3.7 Pouring at EBF 2016. Pours a clear amber gold with a thin white head. Nutty, peach syrup. Medium bodied, soft fruit, musk, light sweetness. Malt, soft musk, light fruit esthers.
3.4 Pours a thin white frothy head that settles to the edge of the glass. Body is the colour of clear, golden. Peaches and sweet nose and flavour. Okay.
3.6 Pours a clear golden color. Aroma is of peaches, yeast, and a little clove. Has a oil slick, bubbly palate. Flavor is the same. Has a dryer flavor. Leaves a slightly bitter, dry peach and yeast finish. Very smooth for 11.5%
2.4 Bottle. Pours a mostly clear yellow. No head. Aroma is lots of Belgian yeast. Bananas, clove, some subtle peach. Taste is more of the same, harsh alcohol burn. Really not very good.
3.4 Poured into a teku showing well filtered yellow peach color and no head. The nose is similar to a weizen - banana, cloves, with hints of peaches and oak. The palate is moderately carbonated and light bodied. Flavors show strong round malts with a background of peaches. As it warms on the palate, the peach flavors become more overt and intense. A strong alcohol but zesty spiciness throughout and on the linger. Malts appear on the finish. The oak chardonnay flavors appear in background in a very subtle manner.
3.7 22 oz. bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer. Release number 33. It is a honey gold color without head. Aroma is peach upfront, sugar and pale malts. Flavor does display the peach in the foreground with a good grain bill with some unfermented sugar. A very mild warming of alcohol with booze showing mildly. Mouthfeel is almost champagne like with a nice feel.
3.4 Bomber from trade. Release 33, SLC 1180. Gushed profusely on opening. Pours golden brown with a grayish off white head. Aroma is honey, clove, mild peach. Flavor follows. Caramel, honey, clove. Some tart peach and oak in the finish. Alcohol is quite present.
3.8 22 ounce bottle thanks to Jake65. Nice orange like color. Aroma of peach. Taste is peach, some sweetness, some yeast. Nice.
3.4 Bottle, large format. Hazy golden orange color with a small white head. The aroma is peaches, Belgian yeast, and noble hops. Somewhat Belgian flavor, medium fruit, medium sweet. Hides the booze well. Medium-plus body with average carbonation. A bruiser. Good but not great.
3.8 Pours a clear golden yellow from the bomber with thin bubbly white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big brett funk and sweet stone fruit notes. Taste is more toward the fruit with sweet vanilla oak tannins, more saison than funk. Booze is well hidden, great beer.
4.4 Wow surprised by this one. Not much peaches flavor but not disappointed!there was subtle peach aroma sitting atop a super light Belgian. How it’s 10 percent abv and goes down to easily is an art in brewing.
