4.0 (Bottle) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel, mandarin, caramel, resin, apricots, lychee, toffee, honey and tropical fruit. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, apricot marmalade, caramel, toffee, tropical fruit, resin and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Really well made and tasty DIPA with impressive amounts of citric/resiny hops and malt to back it up. Excellent beer!
3.8 比昨天的那款 flying dog double ipa 多了一股奇怪的香气和味道,有点儿像荔枝?也可能是酵母的作用。气蛮足。
3.7 Bottle. Pours Hazy gold with a short-lived white head. Powerful initial aroma of resin, citrus and tropical fruit that quickly dissipates, giving way to honey, biscuity malt and some grass. Medium body, soft carbonation, fairly creamy with a lingering hoppy finish.
3.8 Klares, dunkles Gold mit reichlich Schaum. Malzig, keksig, fruchtig, etwas Grapefruit, Kiefer, harzig, Honig, sehr bitter.
3.7 Tap at Vultures Lane. Clear golden with cream colored head. Grapefruit, peach, light citrus, dank weeds, caramel, sugary malts, light alcohol, grassy. Over medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Also had it from bottle and it seemed a little fruitier.
3.4 Tap at Lager Lager. Clear amber, low offwhite head. Tropical fruit purée hop aromatics, pine. Medium to full, resinny mouthfeel, pineapple, apricot and dragonfruit candy. A wee bit too sweet for my taste.
5.0 AMAZING! ! SIMPLY AMAZING! ! One of the best IIPA'S in the world! The smell is beautiful and and its resinous liquid glides to the back of your throat and down to your gas bag with ease
3.9 Finally rating this after unthinkably smashing back many with mates over the last few years. Into a snifter at just on cool. Looks filtered and thin to be honest. Headless pour. Little life. Translucent, orange amber body. Heavy handed, potent, resinous hops on the nose. Bitter peel and flesh of grapefruit, blood orange, tangelo; fresh and caramelised. This is aided by notes of stinging nettle, camphor and rose musk - very nice. On the palate it starts off sweet, rounded, juicy and tangy. Fruit driven; notably caramelised, plummy and soured by a citric edge. Big, bold resinous and sappy hops boasting notes of camphor, eucalypt, bay and myrtle flow from there. It has a lengthy bitterness but this is balanced by warming booze and sticky sweet fruit. Undeniably vinous like sherry and plum wine, it sticks around a long time after each sip. Heated and chunky with a firmness and depth of pungency that makes it a slow sipper. Looked thin in the glass; turned out quite bold. Lovely stuff. Good to finally sit down and rate it!!! 5.0 Best of the Epic range in my opinion. Very drinkable and many different fruity aromas and flavours. I would go so far as to say this is my favourite beer of all time. Would definitely recommend!
4.2 Pours as a hazy, golden - amber colour with a white head that soon disappears. Very fine carbonation. Great aroma, and a taste explosion of .... hops.

4.1 Clear golden with head that lingers around the edges. Sickly sweet aroma, hops and pine. Completely addicting. Heaps of piney hops. Oily, resinous, clawing. Sticks to the back of your throat long after you drink it.
3.7 Draft at Slowbeer, Fitzroy. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is dry malt, light citrus fruit, resin woody alcohol hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a somewhat smooth malty fresh fruit woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A great example of the style with well hidden alcohol.
3.5 Bottle shared @ 8th. BBF 2016 [ 8th Borefts Beer Festival 2016 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Epic Hop Zombie ]. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, fruity, pine - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, pale malt, hop oil notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160924] 7-3-7-3-15
4.3 On tap at the Mill. A nice amber brew with whispy white head a strong fruity hop aroma. The hops and malt blend together nicely from start to finish keeping sweetness in check. Love this one
3.6 Pale golden orange pour with a thin white head and lots of sticky lacing ..... aroma of tropical fruits, some citrusy hops, apricot, orange, pine and chewy caramel malts, juicy fruits ..... taste is of chewy caramel malts, tropical fruits, some citrusy orange, apricot and grapefruit and faded piney hops .... shame this wasn't fresher because it is not as bitter and dry hopped as other raters have .... finishes sweet and malt with some lingering citrusy hops
4.3 Love this double IPA, one of my favourite beers in NZ! Highly recommended if you are a big fan of hoppy beer. This is the one.
5.0 香氣十足,口感柔順
3.9 33 cl bottle from Ale and Lager kuala lumpur. Pours hazy golden with little head. Sweet fruity aroma with sweet citrus and tropical hoppy taste.
4.4 A DIPA that disguise its profile to the likes of an IPA. Good stuff. My kind.
3.3 Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy copper with frothy white head. Nose is bitter, resiny hops, pale malt, florals. Tastes piney, resiny, with some apricotty fruitiness, a bitter finish, and more sweetness as it warms. Florals throughout, and the IBU and ABV levels are very apparent.
3.5 (500ml bottle, BB 14 10 17) Pours a clear golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of resiny pine, grass, weed, mango, and grapefruit. Flavor of grass, papaya, pine, and grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish.
4.1 500ml bottle from West Liquor. Light amber color and great head. Aroma is grapefruit, pine resin and peach. Surprisingly mild bitterness with juicy fruit hop palate and smooth finish. Nice one.
3.6 Aroma is citrus, clove, slight funk and earthiness. Taste is light sweet malts, caramel, citrus, pine needles and a light alcohol warmth to finish. The hop profile overtakes most the malt character bit that is not surprising for an IPA. It is still quite enjoyable. Appearance is a hazy gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.
3.8 500ml bottle. Smells sweet and syrupy. A thick beer with nice carbonation. Sweet piny with lots of hops. Has a really smooth hoppy finish.
3.9 Bottle in Wanaka. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Sweet and bitter with loads of sprucey hops aromas. Notes of grape fruit. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Well balanced. Finally a NZ IPA/IIPA without that caramel malt back bone. Bitter finish with more spruce.
4.2 330 ml bottle from Hawthorne Cellars. Pours orange with small tan head. Hoppy aroma with slight citrus. Taste is hops up front with pine and citrus compliments. Crisp finish. Very well balanced. Really enjoyable IPA.
3.7 24/IX/16 - 33cl bottle from a trade, shared @ Borefts Bier Festival - BB: VIII/2017 (2016-1117) Thanks to Paul for the trade! Clear orange beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of tropical fruits, passion fruit, mango, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: hoppy start, pretty resinous, sweet, caramel malts, dank touch. Aftertaste: bitter, some citrus, tropical fruits, mango, alcohol, slightly sourish.
4.1 500ml bottle. Aroma is mandarin and toffee. Flavour is toffee, biscuit and a bunch of orange. Really nice.
