3.6 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a big white head. Smells of wheat. Nice Weiss flavors with above average carbonation. Dry finish. Very nice.
3.2 Bottle from Alko. Hazy medium yellow with nature white head. Wheat, banana, light grass and herbs. Same grass and banana in the test. Not too sweet, just a bit floury. Quite nice
3.4 Pours a slightly pale golden blonde pour with a thin bubbly white head and no lacing …. Aroma of light banana, wheat, grassy hops, caramel malts, grains …. Taste is of the same light banana notes, sweet caramel malts, grassy hops, grains and wheat …. Finish has some grassy hops, straw, grain and lingering sweet caramel malts …. Decent average hefe….sessionable and simple
3.6 Bevuta alla spina. Aroma lievemente fruttato e dolce. Fresco e primaverile. Colere tendente all'arancione poco saturo. Buona schiuma. Gusto con sentori di frutta. Pochissimo amaro. FgPr
3.5 Can shared at Colin's pre lockdown 30k tasting. Thanks to Colin for this one. A light hazed golden yellow coloured pour frothy white head. Aroma is subdued, banana, apple earthy wheat, banana gooey.. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, orange, earthy grains, green citrus,.Little chalk. Palate is semi sweet, light tart, highish carbonation.
3.3 Bottle split at the Tickombe 30K last tasting before lockdown 2, thanks to Dave, 01/11/20. Almost clear golden blonde with a decent white cap. Nose is grass, floral tones, mellow yeast, light vanilla, lemon rind. Taste comprises wheaten bread, light clove, faint nana, caramel, touch of lemon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent refresher.
3.4 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a thinnish white head. Light aromas of bananas, cloves, apples, floury bread and a little spice. Taste is similar. Medium body with very lively carbonation. its ok but really nothing special.
2.9 Really nice look with a two finger head and golden, slightly hazy appearance. Evidence of banana and cloves in the taste. Ok brew. Cheers!
3.6 7-5-7-3-14 Bottle, 1711071, ten months before bbd. Pours hazy yellow, with an enormous creamy head. Aroma is sweet yeasty esters with wet hay, banana and musty fruit peel, as well as cloves, earthy spices. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet yeasty esters with grass, musty fruits, banana and cloves, as well as spices, wet leaves and earthy minerals. Dry finish.
4.0 My favourite Oktoberfest beer that I’ve tried to date. Distinct smell of hops. Full of life with large head and high carbonate content. My first wheat beer and I’m surprising satisfied. Can’t wait to buy more of this beer and try a wider range and variety of wheat beers after the success I’ve had with this one.
4.2 Leggerissima!
3.1 It has the weißbier look: some haze, golden yellow, an upward avalanche of bubbles to a very tall, thick, creamy head with excellent retention, leaving a rocky, uneven surface as it recedes. Little to no lacing. Weak aroma; hard to pick up anything distinctive. Like a fresh breeze as much as anything. Taste is better, but still subdued. The iconic weißbier flavors are there, but quite weak; some spice, hints of banana, solid body. There seems to be some attempt at bringing more of a märzen malty flavor, but I have to try hard to imagine it is there. In other words, the attempt was not successful. What I seem to be left with is a weißbier with subdued flavor with a bit of a maltier foundation. Overall, while this beer was drinkable enough, it just seems to me to be a very subdued weißbier. This is not what I would expect from one of the premier brewers of weißbier in the world. In a word, disappointed.
3.2 bottle, alko. golden hazy. malty nose, not much spices, some green hoppyness, a little earthyness. med bodied, nicely balanced, a little metal in flavour. well carbonated, malty bit bland flavour-wise. clean nice drink, unexciting though.
4.1 Hazy golden color. Medium white head. Freesh hoppy, malty aroma, not typical of german GHW beers. Taste is pure perfection: prefect balance between maltiness, hoppiness, and fruityspicy esters. Just the right body and mouthfeel with decent amount of carbonation. A truly german weizen masterpiece. Amazing.
3.6 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear golden body with thick white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of wood and earth. Flavour of dried leaves and grain. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. A simple, well balanced beer.
4.1 500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 5.7%. Dark, somewhat hazy yellow. OK sized shortish-lasting head. Slight grassy, fruity hop aroma, developing spice, with a bit of lurking grains holding it up. Moderate+ carbonation. Smooth intro, slight lager-style hop hit segues into yeasty middle that calls a Belgian blond to mind, both for flavour (slight apple and banana) and texture (slight foaminess)! Then to a moderately wheaty finish, but with rather prominent barley malt alongside (for a weissbier), which in itself has nutty, Marzen characteristics - this isn't called Erdinger Oktoberfest for nothing, even if it is a Hefeweizen. Splendid non-standard weissbier, well worth checking out at Oktoberfest and perhaps stocking up for the rest of the year. Purists of the style may not be so keen, however. I find these Erdingers in particular benefit from being drunk slowly, giving time for the chill and carbonation to wane and flavours to develop as you proceed - try it slowly and see how it changes.
3.3 On tap at BierCraft Commercial, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle sweetness and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals bready malt sweetness and a nice expression of the German yeast. Bready and gently sweet finish. Good stuff.
3.5 11.2 oz. (330 ml) bottle, 5.7% ABV, Best by: 04-2023 AROMA: Slightly sweet with wonderful scents of bubble gum, cloves, banana bread, malt, and orange peel. APPEARANCE: It pours a hazy yellow-amber that looks quite inviting. The head is very tall, with a tightly-packed, white foam that (unfortunately) dissipates fairly quickly with no lacing. The head was glorious while it lasted, but that only amounted to about 10 seconds before it dwindled into complete nothingness. TASTE: Moderately sweet with flavors of pear, orange peel, and banana bread, with hints of caramel and orange on the finish. Basically, it tastes almost exactly like it smells. MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Texture is a little less than smooth, which is probably due to the higher-than-average carbonation level. However, there is a "creamy" factor that helps to hide the carbonation level. OVERALL: I really wasn't sure what to expect from this beer, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It certainly doesn't seem to have quite the "bite" of the typical Hefeweizen. Instead, it is a little more on the sweet-and-smooth side, and keeps a nice even keel on the flavor from start to finish. Although, I do have to say that as the beer warms to room temperature, I'm finding that the flavor becomes a little overly sweet. Keep the beer temp under 65 F and all should be good.
3.4 Uma weiss filtrada, mais leve e refrescante. Cor amarelada e espuma branca.
3.3 Pretty much weizen.
3.5 Keg at Six Degrees N. It hazy golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, clover rock, spice, floury bread, green banana and hay. The taste is dry, light bitterness, green, banana, warming spice, clove rock, grass, floury bread, nougat and cereal with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. All comes together rather well. Quaffable.
3.7 Hazy gold with a lasting fine foam, malty and grassy nose with a estery tang, creamy-sweet and drying, juicy and lightly nutty-malty. Delicious.
3.3 11.2 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head, nice lacing and lively carbonation. Aroma is of grassy hops and bready malt. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of ripe fruit, bready malt and some hops. Finish is long and semi-dry. Good brew.
3.3 Light biscuity malt aroma with noble spicy hop Pours slightly hazy Golden with small creamy white head Light bready flavor with slight noble hop. Light bodied with medium co2, light bready finish. I was expecting a Marzen and got a light Hefeweizen. Enjoyable and very easy to drink. Wish I would have started with this one.
2.8 Not an Oktoberfest
2.4 Zapach: chmiel, biszkopt, kwaskowy Kolor: słomkowy Smak: chmiel, biszkopt, kwaskowy Wysycenie: średnie Słabe piwo w stylu oktoberfestbier. W zapachu i smaku to samo, tj. chmiel, biszkopt i kwaskowy. Zapach i smak mało intensywne i dość słabo przyjemne. Na poziomie minimalnie wyższym niż typowy koncerniak. Pijalność słaba. Ogółem rzecz biorąc słabe piwo.
3.6 As Oktoberfest from Erdinger. Cloudy wheat look. Not much nose. Ripe bananas To the fore. Quick ending.
3.1 Bottled. Decent malt-forward beer, the weisse character is not apparent too much, but it’s still fine.
4.4 One of my favorite Oktoberfest beers. Great malts, bit of clove spice
