A particularly strong, spicy aroma, a distinctive yeast flavor and an unmistakable top-fermenting beer profile - these are the characteristics of ERDINGER’s new family member in good old Bavarian tradition. The recipe for Urweisse dates back to the brewery’s founding days over 120 years ago. It owes its distinctive, traditional weissbier flavor to a special malt, a different hop variety and a special yeast.
And as appearance is just as important, Urweisse has been given its own special look - which will especially please all friends of the "good old Bavarian tradition". The label features the historic "Beautiful Tower" of Erding. The Euro bottle and original glass awake memories of days gone by. The new crate is also particularly eye-catching with its historic wooden look and "scorched" lettering.
Best is to simply taste it for yourself! ERDINGER Urweisse is available in Bavaria from January 1, 2008 and from February 1 in Baden-Württemberg. Presentation cartons are available in the ERDINGER Fan Shop from January onward.

50cl bottle from Edeka store in München drinking it on 22/07/2021 BB 10-2021 Pours a hazy deep orange amber with large white foam on top. Aroma is wheat, caramel, strong cloves and quite fruity, very typical of german weisse. Taste is pleasant and refreshing with good wheat, malt, cloves, bubblegum, banana, citrus and fruits flavours and a bit sour finish. Medium body and slightly thick but easy to drink, medium carbonation. A bit more tasty and sweet than the Erdinger Weiss if i'm not mistaken. Well made, quite good and tasty if you're in the mood for a weiss!
Large tight white foamy head left a creamy head on a cloudy vivid amber coloured body.
Banana, stone fruit & spiced aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth with a nicely carbonated clean back.
Fruity, banana, spiced & stone fruit tastes with a tangy lightly hopped finish.
Standard stuff
0.5l bottle. Misty orange color with white head. Aroma of orange, clove, coriander and yeast. Taste is bitter, little sweet and sour.
Dark golden, huge head, lingers. Sourish, almost lactic with bread, yeast, grain and a hint of pepper. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

De smaak is zoet, gistachtig en wat fris.
Das einzige Erdinger Bier, dass es in der dicken Euroflasche gibt. Etwas dunkler als das Standard Erdinger Weizen, geht aber noch als helles Weißbier durch.
Gekochte Früchte sind ein bestimmender Faktor beim Geschmack. Außerdem eine recht malzige Note. Süßer und weit weniger herb als das Standard Erdinger Weizen. Nach dem kräftigen Antrunk, könnte es etwas intensiver sein. Trotzdem ein sehr brauchbares Industrieweißbier.
Wygląd wzorcowy. Zapach: pszenica, drożdże, banan i goździk. Smak: pełne, bananowe, kwaskowe. Goryczka średnia. Pyszne.
500ml bottle. It is a very nice weisse with correct foam but light co2. Taste is typical weisse (citrus, hint of exotic fruits), body is almost heavy, rather good to drink.
Sikkelig godt wiessbier slik den skal være. Sjenerøs gjærsmak. Flott seigt skum.
Opaque golden colour, big foamy and persistent head.
Smellnisnlight citrus, coriander, malt. Quite full and bready. Hint of herbs.
Taste is full with a good fizz. Subtle heavy sweetness. Minerals and clay and a hint of vanilla. Very nice!
Piana brudno biała, wysoka, ale nietrwała, w typie kożucha, głównie z drobnych pęcherzy, ale przy redukcji pojawiała się sporo większych bąbli, zostawiała niewielki ślad na szkle. Kolor brązowy, mętny. Aromat banany, goździki, lekko kwasek, karmel, słód, zboże - pszenica. Smak delikatny, słodkawy, zbożowy, lekko banany, jest nawet dość aksamitnie, w tle niewielki posmak kwaskowy. Dobry pszeniczka, zasługuję na swoją ocenę.
De un color anarajando, con un cordón de espuma de buena retención. Cuerpo medio y carbonatación ligera. Aroma afrutado y a especias. Sabor especiado con notas de trigo. Agradable.
Bottle, 330ml. Pours a deep golden color with a short white head. Scent of yeast, wheat, esters, malt. Mouth feel is foamy, tingling, a bit oily, sticky. Tastes acidic, with notable sweetnes, and low bitterness. Flavors of esters, wheat, clove, malt, banana, citric acid, yeast, orange, mild hops, mild canned corn. It's good if a bit off balance. A bit commercial tasting. Slightly too acidic and sticky. Best enjoyed very cold, with some food.
Bottle. Hazy, orange color, fine, light beige head. Fruity banana, light spices, clovey aroma. Medium sweet, low bitter taste. Fruity aftertaste, more banana, light orange, clove and spices. Very full body, thick texture, medium to low carbonation.
Bottle. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate banana aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate spice sweet flavor with a moderate sweet finish of medium duration. This beer met my expectations.
Good but nothing standout
Amber colour, large frothy head that stays long. Aroma is flour, lemon, banana. Light bitterness. Lively carbonation, creamy texture. Good.

Trübe goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, brotig, fruchtig mit Bananen und Nelken, etwas Röstmalz. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit aktiver Kohlensäure.

Strong banana in smell amongsy smokey wheat.
Strong fizz hits back of throat with a long finish of banana and hint of orange.
Stoutish, slightly heavy for a lager but not unpleasant.

P: wheat, banana, touch of cardamon, hint of cloves, creamy, frothy. Nice.
Pours hazy orange with a large thick head. Aroma of bananas, malts, spices. Taste of bread, bananas, citruses. Low carbonation, light bitterness and sourness. Surprisingly refreshing

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden/amber with medium white head, cloudy. Aroma of bananas, cloves and roasted malts. Light tarty taste, full body, long finish, lively. Quite nice.
Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours hazy deep golden with a fluffy white head. The aroma is spicy, cereal, toasty grain, bready malts, green banana and hint of pear drops. The taste is dry, mellow sweetness, green banana, touch of banana split, faint melon, spice, cereal, toasty grain, farmhouse loaf and actually some bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not nearly as sweet as many hefes and for my palate that works well.

Okay weizen, high on clove and spices, banana is not that distinct. Yep, pretty much classic, this is what I expect from traditional weissbier.

T: medium malty base, wheat, banana, spicy, bit yeasty, good balanced for the style, medium carbonation, enjoyed.
Cerveza de color naranja, con carbonatación algo más alta que la de sus hermanas. Suave, algo cremosa, ligeramente plana quizás por su alcohol medio. Comparte su identidad con las cervezas de trigo alemanas. No es la locura, pero es agradable.
Medium bodied. Strong cloves and banana. Coriander. Bready and yeasty nose. Classic hefeweizen. Tasty and enjoyable!
Flaska från Hopt.se. Disig gulorange vätska med högt vitt krämigt skum. Rustik och karaktärsfull, ganska syrlig och rejält kryddig. Kanske lite tunn med kort eftersmek men annars riktigt trevlig.
