4.1 Nice
3.3 Robe blonde filtrée. Un corps céréalier agréable, très facile à boire, c'est une bonne alternative à la Pils quand on recherche une bière de soif "easy to drink".
4.1 Innovation in wheat beer. Very crisp and enjoyable in the summer
3.0 500ml bottle purchased at Total Wine Pembroke Pines, FL for $15.99 variety pack 5+1 Very good.
2.7 0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before December 2020. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, a little fruity-floral aroma of grains, a touch of hay and traces of lemon peel. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a little grassy-spicy taste of grains and some hay, followed by a short, gently bitter and a little metallic finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Easily drinkable but also very bland and unbelievably generic. None of the typical wheat beer flavours are detectable, it's fairly clean and almost Lager-like.
3.2 Decent clear Hefeweizen. Fairly wheaty, yet clean, crisp. Not too heavy. A little banana.
3.4 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe and drunk on 09/08/2006. I really liked the crystal version of the weissebier. Maybe the novelty at the time, but I thought it had both all the nice associated aromas and flavours, while having a good crispness too.
3.4 # 691; 3/2017. Velmi dobrý, kristallweissbier. Limetkový, sladový, kořenitý.
3.7 500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 5.3%. Clear Helles gold. Perfect-sized great-duration head. Helles grassy hop aroma and sweet malt. Medium- carbonation. Grassy Helles hops with a hint of apple but otherwise the yeast fruitiness has been filtered out. The wheat malt hasn't, though, ending in a pale rusky foaming thick finish - very nice mouthfeel, that chewy texture I like in a Weissbier, counteracting the perhaps a tad high carbonation for my taste. All in all, although this isn't a great Weissbier due to being stripped down by filtration (although it's by no means bad even by Weissbier standards!), if you view it as a Helles with a wheat malt...it's a very fine drink indeed! Definitely worth a try just to see how filtration affects the Weissbier, but a pleasant drink to boot. Drinkers of Weissbier who come for the wheat and not so much the yeast might just make this their favourite...or perhaps Franziskaner's Unfiltered Weissbier, which somehow managed to taste even more lagery than this...tsk tsk.
2.9 Frisk og helt klar. Crispy. Minner kanskje litt om 1664. Foretrekker helt klart vanlig Erdinger med litt groms.
2.7 Bottle from LCBO holiday pack. Pours a clear gold, with a large white head. Aroma is very muted, wheat, and light banana with some light apple also. MOuth feel is thin, carb is also thin, and very light. Finish is lightly bitter, light banana notes, hints of lemon, cereals are blah.
3.4 Part of their Variety Pack from this Christmas with a glass. Pours a clean golden colour with a big creamy warm cap, very long lasting with lots of lacing. Wheat aromas with some peach notes. The taste is malty with some pilsner hops hints in the finish. Clean tasting with a nice touch of dryness. A refreshing, easy-drinking well-brewed Krystalweizen.
3.0 Bottle from Waitrose. It's a nice beer. But it's a wheat beer that has transitioned into a lager. It's ok, but a little boring. A little flat and uninspiring. Looks, aroma and taste are of a nice clean helles larger or pilsner. It's fine, really. But come on.....
2.6 Zapach chmielowy, delikatny banan.
3.0 Helt ok, lite blaskig, mer lager än vetesmak
2.5 Bottle. Aroma and flavor of clean yeast, malt, subtle wheat and bitters. Not very interesting really, these kristall beers lose a lot of their malt and yeast flavors and tend to be a bit boring I think.
4.6 Nice light head of foam. Nice notes of lightly toasted Banana and light wheat. Clean finish.
2.9 500 ml bottle. Clear yellow color with small white head. Smells grains and some wheat. Taste are a bit dry water with some wheat notes and hidden citrus fruit. Not bad at all and refreshing. Short time aftertaste dry wheat and some little grain bitter.
1.6 Clear golden with a frothy head. Citric smell of hops. Bittersweet taste. The sweetness reminds me of the taste of artificial sweeteners with a kiwi note. The bitterness is unpleasant and too harsh for a wheat beer.
2.9 Hight whitehead. Creamy dark golden in color. Fruity aroma. High carbonated. Nothing special. Light taste of wheat bier.
3.2 Bevuta in bottiglia da 50 in un bar market a Berlino. Aroma discreto ma un po'neutro. Fg
3.2 Butelka 500ml. Klarowne o złotej barwie. Piana biała ,obfita o drobnych pecherzach, opada powoli. Typowe nuty ziarna, lekkich bananów i ziół. W smaku podobnie: banany ,ziarno, trochę słodu, guma balonowa. Lekko maślana tekstura ,wysycenie srednie.
2.8 Bottle. Clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma of wheat, faint citrus fruits and hints of apples and bananas. Taste is grains, wheat and some lemons. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Slightly alcoholic aftertaste. Refreshing but kinda dull.
3.4 Bottle from Hogs Back brewery. Yeasty champagne aroma with some herbs. Bright gold. Bubbly. Thick foamy head. Sweet - banana - before developing a bitterness with some citrus and cloves. A lagery sickly taste comes through into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Relatively abrupt finish. I can overlook the sickly elements as on a hot day this light and soft.
3.1 Purchased from Waitrose supermarket in Westfield London shopping centre for £2. 500ml glass bottle dated as best before 02/2020. Served fridge cold in a weizen glass. The beer pours a medium-light amber colour, crystal clear with a big fluffy yet uniformed head. Aroma lies somewhere between a lager and a weizen. Wheat, grass, hay, lemon. A light spice. The taste follows identically to the aroma. With the wheat, grass and hay the dominant elements. Very refreshing on a hot day, if a little uninspired. Nice carbonation in the mouth. No real aftertastes to speak of, just a sense of refreshment. A nice beer. Easy to drink. Would be very good choice to session for a hot day in the sun. Always going to be a poor relation to other weizen beers, but that is just the nature of the filtered style.
2.8 Bottle at Peter's, 21st June 19. Pours clear and yellow. Aroma is light straw, citrus. Taste is lagerish, not as much going on as I expected. Pretty dull
3.4 A: Clear gold with a small white head. N: Slight bananas and apple. Wheat apparent. T: Nice and bready with hints of banana and apple. P: Medium-thin O: Well made.
2.6 500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Straight from the bottle. Sweet, sugary, malty, spicy hops in aroma and in taste. More lager than ale. Drinkable brew.
3.2 Bottle at home picked up from Waitrose. A crystall clear mid gold coloured pour with a rocky fluffy white head. Aroma is some wheat, apple, light tang, hint of banana. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, pils, earthy malts, apple, banana, semi crisp finish. Palate is soft and airy, carbonation. frothy. Decent.
