2.6 Clear and golden with little to no head, just a few white bubbles flaoting around, and not a great deal of aroma to talk about, slightly sweet malt and some grass maybe. Light bodied, very refreshing, very cold and very fizzy. Another continental lager that looks the part but lets itself down a bit by being relatively insipid - there is some fruity character to it and some floral hops towards the finish offering a hint of bitterness
4.1 Lett, men smaksrik. Sommer på boks
2.8 Draft in Madrid's Mecado San Miguel, a 400ml pour. Pours light golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of flora, grass & sweet malt. Decent enough and enjoyable & easy to drink at 1pm
2.3 Can 330ml (Produce 29/07/2021) Finally got this one in can version. I think this is different from draught version so much. In can version is medium to high carbonate, clean body, watery, malty and grain taste a bit while, then bitter and earthy hops taste. I remembered draught version is smooth feel more than can version a lot maybe I’ll review later again.
2.3 Bottle. Nose of grain, rich cattle feed or maybe molasses. Crystal clear pale straw, thin head. Flavors similar: lightly sweet malt, some grassiness. Thin boy. Flavors start out dull and never develop into much at all.
3.7 This is a lovely, drinkable beer. Pours nicely, with a good head the lasts a bit. Slightly sweet nose, with little to no malt. Good mouth feel, cloying aftertaste which is ok. Estrella Damm feels like you are drinking a beer. Great summer beer. Make sure it's cold. Got mine in Dunnes Stores on offer €2 for 660ml bottle. Normally €2.55, which is great value in this day and age. Had it on draught when in Barcelona a few years ago. From my memory it was equally good.
2.7 33cl can. Pours crystal clear, pale gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is great and cereal, floral and a little honey. Body is a little light, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium sweet. Final is average.
1.9 How: Draught. Where: Delicious, Torrevieja. Appearance: Dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Sweet malt, grain. Body: Light body, medium carbonation. Flavour: Sweet malt, grain.
2.5 Meget lys og klar. Meget lidt skum. Svag humleduft. Meget let bitterhed. Svag fylde og meget let.
3.3 Had at three brooks on Friday 3rd Sep
2.7 Butelka 660ml.
2.7 Erg zacht bier, smaakt bijna als alcoholvrij bier.
2.5 Lys gul med hvitt skum. Lettdrikkelig. Vannete.
3.4 0.5 can from Idea. Contains both rice and corn. Yeast aroma. Pours pale golden color with medium head. Better than expected. Well balanced, bit dry and sour, perfect carbonation. Decent beer.
3.0 This version (for the less discerning Brit palate?) is somewhat inferirio to the 5.4% lager which is the staple in Catalonia.
3.2 660ml bottle brewed in Spain at 4.6%. Crystal-clear gold with a nice-sized, good duration head. Sweet lager aroma, a little corny, but with some nice clean vibes and even a little citrus rind hop tinge to it. Decent euro stylings so far. Moderate+ carbonation, somewhat foamy as if to make up for a rather thin underlying beer - but it kind of works. Light lemon meets tangerine peel hop fragrance, sweet bready malt that would verge into cookie-dough if it were more robust, and definite rice character detectable towards the end. For cheap eurolager, this is one of the less offensive examples, although there's still little here for the connoisseur - and no doubt this being from a fresh bottle helps.
3.0 Butelka 0,33 l.
2.3 Bottle from local Home Bargains store. Not much of an aroma at all – just slightly hoppy. Pours a chrome yellow with a generous but transient white head. Sugary sweetness is what hits first in the mouth. There’s some hops in there too if you search for them – plus traces of washing-up liquid ! It’s a bland undistinguished macro lager.
2.4 Aroma 5. Appearance 3. Taste 5. Palate 2. Overall 9. Grain aroma. Malt and sweet taste, short aftertaste.
3.5 89 PTS.
2.1 Against the belief of many in the craft Beer industry, I do believe rice and corn has it uses, but it’s hard to believe it is used in Estrella Damm for any other reason other than to bring the cost down. It is claimed the recipe has not changed since 1876, but removing the rice would change it for the better. This is a sweet Lager with a very smooth body, yet it isn’t overly desirable. The hopped bitterness isn’t strong enough to achieve a balance, and while it is refreshing, there are hundreds of other Lagers in the world which are more so and of a higher quality. 2.9 Pours clear bright yellow, with short lasting white foam. Typical aroma and taste, smooth. (Velp 2101)
1.9 0.5 l can. Pours clear golden with minimal head. A: bit pale malt, T: mild carbonated, thin body, sulfate or maybe it's the rice, minimal bitter
2.2 330ml bottle. Gold with small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is grains, stewed veg, semi-sweet, slight grassy and lemon hop notes. Taste is sweet, grains, that horrid stewed veg water note, but this gives way to a grassy and citrus hop and mild bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, average carbonation. It has a little more hops than your average commercial lager, but I cant get over the veg water chewiness of it. Poor.
2.4 Aroma: malta, maíz, poco dulce Apariencia: dorada, espuma blanca, corona pequeña, buena retención, Sabor: cereal, maiz, poco dulce Sensación: poco amarga, delgada, carbonatación media
