Estrella Galicia Especial

Estrella Galicia Especial

Born in 1972 as “Especial Rivera”, it would soon become Company’s most representative beer. Brewed by Hijos de Rivera’s Brewmasters in the only Company’s brewery placed in A Coruña. It takes a whole month to be brewed, half of it inside the maturing tanks. Golden color. Clean and bright. Excellent aromatic balance between malts and hops. Lightly floral and herbal flavors, with a moderate warm mouthfeel, and an intense hoppy bitter taste that lingers in the mouth.

2.8 Fles 20cl thuis. Maltig, zoetig, wat granig, bittertonen, carameltonen, licht grassig. (19-11-2022).
5.0 La mejor cerveza sin duda.
2.0 From can. Grain, citrus, corn, metal. Metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, metallic bitter finish. Not great.
1.0 F: CB 7/22
1.8 Not much going on here. Bottle from grocery store. Malty, tea, light fruit.
3.4 Classic international lager. Taste some corn, and biscuit malt backbone. Crisp lager finish. Tastes decent on a warm day.
2.8 Amarga
Servire gelata e mangiare piccante.
4.1 Good
2.3 Bottle 0,25L. Courtesy of Gregor. Clear golden color with small, frothy white head. Aroma of malt, grain and biscuits. Taste is light sweet and grainy with notes of cooked corn. Finish gets some light bitterness with grassy aftertaste. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Better than I expected, but still not special.
2.3 Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is grassy, grainy and citrusy with cooked corn. Pours clear golden color with medium sized soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy, grassy and yeasty, following is ripe citrusy and vegetably, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Light body, thin texture and lively carbonation in palate. Not so special as its name wants to convince us…
2.9 Can : 500 ml, at home, #StayHomeDrinkBeer Price : 1.19 eur gerimas, bet geriau rinktis kita..
4.4 I rate this beer as highly because it is very enjoyable and has a Nice floral aroma.
3.0 Colore giallo dorato; schiuma alta, cremosa e persistente. Carbonazione scarsa, birra beverina.
2.9 A fair drop. Definitely the best Macro Industrial beer in Spain..much better than battery acids from San Miguel and Mahou ('Clasica'...yuk), and better than Cruzcampo and Alhambra (both not bad). Served chilled as an 'una jarra' in a frosted glass ..pretty nice.
2.8 Aroma is the weak point of this beer. And the rest is a good Euro-camp, with a body. A little malt, low hop citrus-grapefruit tints, pleasant bitter hop aftertaste. HM. how the Euroleague liked it.
3.2 Old Untappd check-in. June 11, 2017. Had on a food tour of Madrid, fabulous with tapas.
2.5 330 ml can. Pours clear golden color with white head. Aroma malty and herbal. Taste malty, notes of grain, grass hop and herbs.
2.7 Straw color. Grassy, pale malts, grain, hay. Refreshing
2.9 Tap at Epcot. Clear golden with a small white head. Pale malts, corn, honey, herbal, lime. Ok
2.2 Not bad for an industrial beer. In fact, one of the best international lagers from Spain. But drinking it may be a loss of time when there are so many real beers around.
3.4 On tap at Pub In The Park, Chiswick. Lovely golden colour on pour, with a foamy white head. Cereal and grass aromas, with a lingering, spicy taste.
2.6 Zwykły koncernowy lager, ale mniej ścierkowy niż zazwyczaj. Taki raczej nijaki i pijalny.
3.5 the aroma: malty, herbal, hints of grain, straw, buckwheat, grasses... the taste: clear, refreshening, malty, notes of grain, grass hop, hay, herbs... the aftertaste: bitter, dry...
Dystans zalecany. Instagram/czgr_
2.3 Appearance: clear gold with a moderate white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: wort, grain, faint esters. Taste: clean, grainy. Distant fruitiness. Some ending hop. Grassy. Low light bitterness. Mouth feel: medium body, soft to average carbonation. Overall: not worth any attention.
2.8 Old Untappd checkin, July 7, 2016. Brown glass bottle. Slightly dark golden color, moderate head, clear appearance. Sweet malt aroma with a matching taste and a slightly hoppy finish. Solid macro.
