Evil Twin / 7venth Sun Citra Sunshine Slacker

Evil Twin / 7venth Sun Citra Sunshine Slacker

Ed: Evil Twin Citra Sunshine Slacker is actually a collaboration beer between Evil Twin and 7venth Sun. Description: Despite his bitterness, lack of power and insuperable aversion to any kind of extravagant labor - he kind of has a charming charisma, and perhaps he is even loveable. Somehow we find him unbelievable irresistible and stimulating because he is one of the few that masters the ability to effortlessly impress with his sharp intelligence and make it look so damn easy.

3.6 A cloudy opaque straw gold with a fluffy white head and a juicy Citra aroma. I love Citra. Sofa bread light malt character and a fruity hop flavor. Nice stuff, very sessionable.
3.7 Unclear yellow with a medium head. Aroma is hay, biscuit and pine. Taste is lime, malt and pineapple
3.6 470 ml can. Cloudy pale orange, small foamy head. Spicy hops, lime, grapefruit, pine, floral and some skunky notes. Hoppy bitterness. Watery texture, dry finish and bitter aftertaste, soft carbonated, light bodied, crisp and fresh. Easy going and refreshing. Nice stuff although Session IPAs are not my cup of tea.
Textura acuosa y algo chispeante. Aroma a hierba húmeda, cítricos, ligero queso. Amargor final suave.
3.8 Can. Medium white head on a cloudy, straw golden body. Orange zest, grapefruit, pine, herbs. Very light sweetness, tart, medium bitterness. Zesty, herbal finish. Medium body with pearly carbonation. Effortless. Nice.
2.8 Can. Golden color with white head. Small pine aroma. Extremely light taste more like to be hoppy lager
2.7 low hop aroma. test and feel like larger than ipa. very low bitter. yellow colour very light body. very refreshing not dry finish
2.7 Pours a clear golden with a white head. Not much going on with the nose: circus peanut and vegetal notes. Flavors are more vegetal, but otherwise not remarkably different than the aromas. Disappointing. Not sure why I ever get my hopes up for an Evil Twin or Mikkeller hoppy beer.
3.9 Can@home, from Beer Republic. Medium, clear and bit bitter nuances of citrus, some pine and quite a lot of malty hops. Balanced. Narrow/medium taste spectrum and long aftertaste with hops and malts. Light/medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, High quality and refreshing session IPA.
4.2 Poured a cloudy gold color with a two finger width head. it had a nice aroma of sweet bread, citrus, and floral and pint hops. it was quite crisp, with a moderate bitterness balanced by a subtle malty and fruity sweetness. definitely a good choice if you're looking for a session IPA
4.0 Can from Beer Republic. Pours sunshine gold, slight haze, white head. Very refreshing, clean and crisp ale with pleasing citrus bite and dry finish. Very nice single hop beer
3.5 Can. Hazy golden yellow with a soapy white head. Peach, yuzu, clementine pee, orange peel, lemon, hops, grass, hay, light earthy. Not bad.
3.6 Can (pint) in Fl. Pleasant aroma. Light flavor. Slight citrus. Better than a domestic lager, that's for sure.
3.2 Pours clear topaz with a thick and frothy, if ephemeral, porcelain head. Aroma offers up sharp, resiny hops plus fresh malt and a mixture of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor presents zesty grapefruit, resiny hops, fresh malt, and a tropical hint. Body is on the thin side, but fizz is peppy. Get your slacker on!
3.6 Aroma: yellow citrus notes, pine. Appearance: hazy straw color and white head. Taste: medium pine bitterness, slightly stalky, yellow citrus, intensive, resin, dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation. Overall: really good Session IPA, nice bitterness.
3.7 Pounder can from Smith's. Pours clear golden with fizzy white head. Sort of a New England/West Coast hybrid nose here. Shit, I smelled this one for a long time, and got piney hops, spruce, florals, mango, papaya, grapefruit, golden melon. Tasted hoppy, pale malty, floral, white peppery spice, with notes of peach, melon, pear, papaya, and pineapple. Great beer, and hefty for something you could drink all night.
3.5 Can at home. Yellow in colour with a slight haze and a thin white head. Gentle citrus aroma. Initial sweetness with a surge of bitterness to follow. Lots of fruit flavours (pineapple) and a light malt character. Fairly light body and quite spritzy and with the laid-back Citra flavour makes this a great quaffer.
3.3 Can. Clear golden beer, thick white head. Light, bittersweet citrus. Flavour is light and crisp. Grapefruity, but super-mellow. If anything it's a touch watery in the aftertaste which is a bit of a shame but I love me a citra and you could drink this for days if it was super-cold out in the sun.
3.8 Can. Misty golden pour. Tall white frothy head of good retention. Aroma: tropical (big mango & peach among others), dank. Light body. Hoppy taste. Leading grapefruit. Supporting tangerines, passion fruit & peach. Medium bitterness. The best session IPA I have had to date.
3.9 50cl Dose at the inflated local import ratio bb:illegible/2018. - An unpresuming, near-juicy session IPA with a round body spreading out a mineral-malty bed for the literal Citra pellets to shine and seduce on. Sweet pompelmo aroma, fluffy cheesecake mf. Not all that much going on underneath the upfront sweet cristal-sugar-dusted malts, but that's alright, doing what it advertises and adding to the local scene in delivering round satisfying mouthfeel at under 4,7%. At a one-off ransom.
3.4 Cans from Yes! 4-8-17
3.6 Golden, thick head. Big, deep citra nose that blends weed and litterbox. Light body, moderate bitterness, lingers, citra is pronounced still and malts are understated. Good.
4.0 Color not clear, but otherwise an nice odor fidel to the taste. A bit bitter in the end though. Love these single hops where you can really taste the hop.
3.6 Clear to lightly pale golden pour with a thin soapy layer of white head and light sticky lacing ..... aroma of citrus peels orange, lemon and grapefruit with floral/grassy notes with some grain and malt ..... taste is of lemons, grapefruit, tart peels, oranges and grassy/floral notes ..... bitter and dry on the back end with malt and grains .... finish has lots of lingering citrusy flavor and tart peel .... sessionable and simple
3.7 Well done, lots of taste/aroma for its low abv, tropical aromas, citrusy and fresh taste. Compared to Lervigs Hazy Days, this slacker seems to be a bit bland underneath.
3.4 Pint from VE. Nose is huge Citra; lemon leaning slightly tropical, big musky rind, touch oily. Pour clear yellow with a soapy bright white head. Taste bone-dry and light-medium bitterness, some astringency, nice pretzel-cracker and bread crusts from the yeast and a bit of biscuit. Big lemon-lime, maybe even more lime, really nice pitcher of summer here. Medium-full body, no watery spots. Simple and not rocking any boats, but really great execution. [2017.09.09: 3.4]
