Evil Twin Biscotti Break (8.4%)

Evil Twin Biscotti Break (8.4%)

Editor’s Note: Replaced by Imperial Biscotti Break, which has a separate listing. This first edition was a porter made with espresso, vanilla and toasted almonds for the Beer cruise Rome-Barcelona, June 2011. Brewed at Fanø Bryghus, Denmark, 7.5% ABV. Previous bottled and distributed batches were 8.4% ABV.

Italy has a certain “je ne sais quoi” – fab food culture, highly decadent history of art and cool countryside. Some might argue the people are loud and flamboyant, they steal our women, and their soccer players melodramatically flop on the pitch. Listen – that’s all part of the secret Italian ingredient – keep it cool, confident, arrogant and extravagant. Forza Italia!

Malt beverage with almonds, vanilla beans and coffee added.

4.3 Shared bottle on May 17th. Pours opaque with a fluffy tan two finger head. Nose reminds me of the Biscotti spread that your spread on sweet crackers. Chocolate, almonds and some hints of coffee and dark fruits. The taste is amazing, following the nose and having a viscous mouth feel. Hope that I can find this again!

4.5 listed as a porter? drinks more like a sweet stout. opaque, liked the big body, became a fave at first taste

Mkt fin!

Flavor is decadent. Thick chocolate, espresso beans, light hints of vanilla and burnt sugar. The body is imperial stout like and real full. Lingering roasted finish. Damn I could drink this every week. If I see bottles, I will purchase a few. Top tier coffee porter!
