Aromat niespecjalnie intensywny, mieszający nuty ciemny słodów, wiśnię i alkohol. W smaku konkretna paloność, odrobina kawy, muśnięcie wiśni. Sporo ciała. Nasycenie niskie. Goryczka wysoka, palona, ale prawdopodobnie podbita przez pieczenie alkoholu w jamie ustnej.
Piwo w porządku, ale spodziewałem się wiele więcej. Całości strasznie przeszkadza wyraźna alkoholowość.
Flarra med vännen Hultmark på Bishops Stockholm. Söt melassdoft lite tjära läder o choklad. Smaken kraftig men balanserad med choklad läder o sötma o där ligger lite fikon o lurar i smaken. Så lång o god eftersmak. Fasen Evil twin ni kan!!!
12 oz. bottle. Pours very dark brown with small brown dissipating head. Aroma is quite boozy, chocolate, caramel, coffee, dried fruit some licorice, quite hoppy. Taste is rather heavy sweet and medium to heavy bitterness, slightly brandy like. Body is full, texture oily, carbonation soft. Finish is long, sweet chocolate and toffee flavors with a hefty kick of lasting bitterness and some warm alcohol feeling. Robust and quite course kick of flavors without even trying to be subtle. I like it!
Boozy imperial stout. Lightly hopped, chocolate, caramel with strong rum or bourbon flavors. Even More Jesus but slightly less chocolate and coffees and slightly more hops and booze.
Bouteille. Robe bien noire et surmontée d'un petit col de mousse beige et dense qui s'estompe rapidement. Arômes de malt très torréfié, amandes, minéraux, café noir, chocolat, pruneau séché, légères effluves d'alcool. En bouche, aucune surprise ici avec un forte concentration de malt torréfié. C'est amer, un peu grillé et des saveurs de café et chocolat au lait complètent le tout. Par après, on note des saveurs de gaufres, noisettes, figue et bleuet en petites quantités, anis très subtile qui disparaît même après quelques gorgées. L'alcool est présent mais n'est jamais agressant, on le sent plus boisé mais surtout bien intégré aux différentes saveurs. Texture bien huileuse et semi-onctueuse, corps moyen. Un stout impérial amplement réussi et qui a la qualité de ne jamais être trop lourd. C'est très bien exécuté, le style est respecté mais on n'est pas dans le summum de la complexité non plus. Une belle porte d'entrée au style.
De couleur noir opaque avec mousse couleur moka ,on n’a des note de chocolat noir ,on une bonne torrification avec des note aussi de réglisse .en bouche le goût est réconfortant et très goûteux.malgre le taux d alcool on le récent pas t’en que ça.en bouche le chocolat est très présent avec le malt torrifier c est bon

An authentically American beer, without consecrations. Because I am a lover of Belgian beers, this type of beer is too hard for you. I recognize that this is a very good beer but it is too hard for me, too flat, too direct.

W aromacie czekolada, kawa, cytrusy, żywica ale niezbyt wyraziscie. Z wygladu czarne z obraczka bezowej piany. W smaku bardzo wytrawne, nuty gorzkiej czekolady, kakao, orzechy, w tle cytrusy i żywica. Cialo aksamitne, degustacyjne, goryczka wysoka, grejpfrutowa. Ogolnie dobry ris o bardzo wytrawnym profilu
Bottle from Salling. Pitch black with a small brown head. Low carbonation. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, liqourice and yeast. Burnt bitterness and a bittersweet aftertaste
Taste: Boozy bite, dark roasted malt, molasses, bittersweet, dry finish. Raisins, dark fruit and molasses, semi sweet nose. Black/brown, mostly opaque, tan head with delicate ringed lace. Medium/full body. Has a kick to it.

Piwo nieprzejrzyście czarne, piana beżowa, bardzo drobna. Aromat to przede wszystkim palone słody, alkohol i nuty ciemnych owoców oraz bakalii. Nie powala. Smak jest mocno palony, jest czekolada deserowa, alkohol, ponownie ciemny owoc, orzech, bakalie. Zdecydowanie jednak ciemne, palone słody górują nad innymi smakami. Piwo ma dużo ciała, kremową fakturę i jest intensywne w posmakach. Bardzo dobrze wykonany, bezkompromisowy, agresywny RIS.

Imperial stout de 12 % abv, que le brasseur a considéré comme
une métaphore de la liberté .. Nous sommes heureux pour lui !!
Mon exemplaire n'avait pas de date visible, mais dans le cas
présent je pourrais encore excuser, parce que ce stout est
tout à fait apte, voire indiqué pour un vieillissement.
Mon exemplaire devait avoir une belle année de … liberté.
Couleur noir intense, à l'opacité forte.
Mousse brun moyen soutenu, soyeuse, en nappage constant à 1 mm.
Arômes de café, cerise confite, baies noires, pointe d'amaretto.
1ère bouche très souple, à la superbe entame équilibrée d'office.
Arrière-bouche fine, précise, très longue.
2ème avec une liqueur de café, et un superbe ensemble malt/baies.
Arrière-bouche qui maintient le cap sur les baies noires avec élégance.
3ème à l'harmonie rare et complète.
Arrière-bouche longue et très complexe.
Longueur qui définit presque un standard en imperial stout.
Jambes fines, serrées, longues.
Levure fine, précise, très belle ligne.
Alcool superbe, très efficace, sans être aucunement dominateur,
il est plutôt un organisateur hors pair.
Finale qui est un pur délice.
CONCLUSION : très grand imperial stout, dont j'accompagne le brasseur
dans sa métaphore de la liberté, mais surtout dans l'amour du stout.

Aroma: Medium-high dark chocolate,. Medium milk chocolate, fruity, plum. licorice.
Appearance: Clear, opaque black body. Medium, light-brown body. Small bubbles. Fair retention.
Flavour: High licorice, dark chocolate.High bitterness. Medium chocolate, fruity, prune. Spicy, pepper. Fruity, apricot, alcohol Dry finish with bitterness, licorice and chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Full body. Medium carbonation. Light warming.
Overall: A powerful, rich malty beer with complex flavours. Strong licorice and bitterness however does remain front and center throughout the beer, becoming quite taxing a few sips in.

20C. Imperial Stout
330ml bottle, at Bitter Phew. Pours a jrt black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malt, molasses, vanilla notes. Taste: roasted malt, burnt toffee, molasses, vanilla bean, mild caramel, brown sugar, mild oak flavours. Complex flavour balance. Moderate sweetness wih a boozy finish. Quite tasty and well balanced.
Bottle 33 cl. Black with lightbrown head. Chocolate, dark fruits and licorice. Sweet with a warm licorice and dark fruit end. Shared with azlondon in Bamberg, G.
The aroma is very subtle and offers small notes of malt and coffee. The color is dark brown. The taste is also very subtle and offers small notes of malt, coffee, booze, cocoa, coconut, licorice and dried fruits. This is not good. Probably a infected bottle.
Evil Twin I Love You With My Stout is a excellent beer for Imperial Stout lovers. I really love this beer, however, it lacks lthe complexity in the tastes of the top in class imperial stouts.
This, according to my retailer, is seasonal and like the winter snow I pine for it in summer months. Very high alcohol content, chocolate hops probably and warming when consumed.This is the other beer that one should eat a meal with in your jammies, drink you beer and call it a night.Steak, Blue cheeses and even date and walnut cake are a good pairing. Shame it’s only sold in a 4 pack. With a 6 pack I could last a whole week.
Black colour with tan head. Aroma has some sweetness from vanilla. Has some coffee and chocolate too in it. Taste is very strong with boozy and bitter. Has a bit sweetness too.

Bottle... Pours clear and dark-brown with a tiny, creamy, mushroom-colored head. Fantastic retention and thick lacework. The aroma features white chocolate, fudge and espresso with a hint of dustiness. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with busy carbonation. The flavor is big, bold and bittersweet, boasting dark chocolate, white chocolate and metallic bitterness - like sucking on an old nickel. Finishes burnt and bittersweet - more bitter than sweet. Assertively and metallically bitter. This isn't very good. The various components don't meld. It's disjointed and boozy-hot.
