4.1 Bottle. Pours midnight black with a thin creme colored head that resides only along the glass rim. Raspberry sweet aroma over mild carbonation. You taste the cherries over dark chocolate. A shade bit thin.
4.3 This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated opaque dark black brown colored body and a good lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt. The smooth semi-thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a strong mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt strong malt toasted malt burnt malt brown malt dark malt hops and bread dough. A wonderful best in class brew.
3.9 From tap at Taphouse. Black with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, spice, alcohol cherries, and licorice.
4.7 Pours rich coffee sable with a thick and rather persistent somewhat fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, toasted bread, molasses, cherry and roast coffee tones. Flavor echoes all this and adds a note of sweet chocolate to the mix, while the sourness of the cherry tone comes forth. This is almost like drinking a black forest cake mixed with quality mocha. Firm, fairly viscous mouthfeel presents good fizz, while finish highlights cherries and chocolate. Have one - or better yet, share one - for dessert. Pretty please!
3.9 Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours pitch black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, coconut, cherries and vanilla. Taste is medium bitter and medium+ sweet. Full bodied, oily-ish texture, soft carbonation. Finish is slightly dry.
3.8 Some roasted notes and after reading about the cherries i noticed them also. Black beer Brown head. Taste is light bitterness and medium sweetness. Finish is sweet and lightly bitter.
3.8 Tap at mikkeller&friends, copenhagen. Black color, brown head. Aroma is very interesting. Roasty, biscuits, chocolate, some cherry notes. Taste has roasted malts, some hops, biscuits, some fruity notes. Body could be stronger.

3.7 Tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. Black with beige head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, plums, raisins and cocoa. Sweet taste with notes of vanilla, coffee, black berries, hint of dark chocolate. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation.
4.0 Tap@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - black coloured pour with a neat creamy beige head. Roasted and sweet malty, with chocolate prominence with a lovely complimenting backing of cherry, like a black forest gateau, some caramel cakey sweetness, slight burnt malty nuances, light essence of vanilla in play, medium roasty into the finish. Gorgeous.
4.4 (Bouteille): Un riche chocolat, caramel et mélasse avec une infusion de moufflet à la cerise. Difficile de se tromper avec cette base.
4.2 Tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aroma has sour cherries, crackers, vanilla, chocolate, roasty, tart roasty. Taste is tart cherries, biscotti, heavy roasty, malty, chocolate, fudge.

4.0 Tap at Pizza Luce - Seward. Very dark dense pour with a rocky brown head. Rich, roasty, hint of dark cherry. Drier finish. Very good.
4.0 Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with a substantial tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate, with hints of cherry and vanilla. Taste is similar with additional nut and brown sugar notes with some alcohol coming through. Cherry is faint, but adds a nice extra dimension. Lots of flavors that work harmoniously together. Low carbonation. Rich and full-bodied. Has a moderately bitter, roasted finish. Quite good.
3.5 Aroma: faint chocolate with a touch of cherry; Appearance: pitch black with tan head that dissipates slowly; Taste: more bitter than expected; some burned notes that aren’t too great; a little chocolatey with some cherry; Palate: heavy body with long, bitter finish; Overall: didn’t quite live up to my expectations but still good; improves as temp warms; might buy again.
4.0 Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of cocoa, almod, vanilla, cherry and caramel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla, cherry and light almond with a smooth lingering chocolate cherry finish.
3.3 On tap at Griffon two. Nothing outstanding, either tart cherry, or big porter base, passable beer.
3.9 Pours a dark mahogany brown with fluffy tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, malts, and some woody notes. Flavors of chocolate, malty, and some cherry highlights.
3.4 A great looking beer, dark brown with a lasting tan head with nice lacing. Aroma of cherries, and a smoked malt. Full bodied slightly oily feel. Taste slightly metallic with a fruit. Slightly bitter finish.
3.4 Poured from a bottle. Dark brown color, full tan head. Slight sour pepper malt aroma. Medium body with a metallic malt flavor and a medium finish.
4.5 Even though the concept behind this beer was nearly identical to that of the Boulevard X Tart Cherry I enjoyed before this, they were altogether different Imperial beers. This one was much more subtle. The added cherry and sour flavors were far less upfront. Natale still has all the grainy, chocolaty richness of traditional Imperial Biscotti Break, but the cherries add a hint of sweetness... and an even smaller hint of tartness. Balance is beautiful, and Evil Twin knows how to use restraint when it’s needed. If there was a beer I would choose to pair with my mother’s Christmas cherry mash bars, this would be it.
4.2 Bottle from Acton Wine Inky black color with a small frothy tan head that persists. Rich brown sugary chocolate and roast with plenty of tart fruit to go around. Very interesting mingling of flavors, very well done.
3.5 Bottle. A- Cocoa, subtle coffee, roasty. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cocoa, roasty, biscotti, subtle cherry. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- A good beer but no where as great as the regular Biscotti Break. The cherry is very minimal and seems to do more to smooth out the beer than anything else. I can’t say the cherries really improved the beer with this variant. Maybe a coconut or vanilla variant would’ve been a better idea. Still good just not amazing.
3.7 Tap@Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium aroma of licorice and some coffee. Pitch black color with small creamy beige head. Strong bit tangy balanced taste with coffee, cocoa, chocolate and some licorice. Maybe some tangy twist from cherries, otherwise really minimal notes. Wide taste spectrum with long aftertaste with roasted malts and coffee. Strong body with low carbonation. Overall, high quality with nice cocoa implementation. Too much coffee.
3.9 Light cherry and some roast. Pours black with good head and lacing. Light tangy finish. Good balance. Bitter and tangy finish. Hint of caramel. Tap at churchkey.
4.2 Another great one. Roasted malt with vanilla and cherry. Coffee and chocolate notes as well. Not really that sweet but still a great sipper. Magnificent color and head with a silky smooth palate.
4.0 22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Nose is coffee, chocolate, caramel and faint sour cherry. Creamy and coating with a roasty, fruity tang. Taste is chalky chocolate, coconut, hints of espresso and licorice with delicious veins of sweet tart cherry.
