Evil Twin / Intangible Ales Sour Bikini

Evil Twin / Intangible Ales Sour Bikini

Named after atom bomb test grounds, designed by a French car engineer - the bikini was to many a disturbing and degrading creation and fortunately for others a symbol of emancipation. This is attractively light bodied, seductively well balanced and very drinkable Sour Bikini is anything but a sissy beer.

3.7 Pours a slightly hazy, deep golden coloration with a tiny, fizzy head. Smell is quite tart, with a sort of buttery lactose aroma and notes of citrus/tropical fruit: lime, pineapple. Taste follows the nose, with a tart, zesty citrus flavour of lime and tangerine, with a hint of pineapple and an underlying buttery lactose note that really comes out in the aftertaste, along with an intensifying sourness, and almost reminds me of vanilla. I do have to wonder if that slightly odd buttery lactose note is really intended, but as it is actually quite reminiscent of vanilla, it's not that unpleasant at all.
3.7 Can shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy pale golden with small white head. Lemon, lime, soft dishwashing liquid, light dank hops, light grains. Maybe a bit of grass. Light sweet and medium sour. Over light bodied. Quite simple but it works very well, especially considering the low abv.
3.7 Can shared at Maakun’s. Hazy pale yellow with white head. Sour grains, lemon, passion fruit, that dank berliner weisse milkfilm lacto bacillus vibe is in there, some peach as well. Moderate sweet, sour and bitter. About medium body and soft carbonation.
2.6 Masser af god surhed, men ikke så meget andet at smage end det. Lidt kedelig i længden.
3.8 Can. hazy yellow golden. lemon, yuzu, light peach, wheat. Good for a low abv!
3.6 can. cloudy yellow, small white head. yeasty and slightly sour aroma, citrus juice, saison yeast spices. flavor is quite citrussy sour, but not overly so, spicy malty balance, very easy drinkable, very refreshing, lots of good taste in this 3% alc. beer. reminds me a little bit of berliner weisse. super nice session beer.

3.6 Canned 355ml. -from Beergium. Cloudy yellow coloured, small to medium sized white head, citrusy nose. Mild citrusy, notes of grapefruit and pineapple with pleasant tart finish. Not complex but really nice and refreshing.
3.9 2015-09-26 Cannette. Liquide jaune voilé coiffé d'un léger collet blanc Arômes de pêche, acidulé, zeste de citron. En bouche, très acidulé, zeste de citron, pêche. En finale, légère amertume astringente avec une pointe de blé lactic.
3.5 Hazy yellow beer with nice small head on top. Aroma has intense sour green apples, zesty lemon and grapefruit, salty note too. Taste is really sour, zesty grapefruit and lemon peel. Salty note as well. Some bitterness too and light sweet tropical fruits. Lightish juicy body with high carbonation. Intense sour but a good one at that.
3.5 Golden with a white head - Sour malt aroma with citrus and herbal notes - Sour malt body with fruity and some herbal flavours - The citrus and herbal flavours goes into the finish - This was nicce and refreshing
2.8 Can from A.J.'s Beer Warehouse. Aroma of malts, with some funk. Slightly tart.
3.6 22 oz. bottle, consumed on 9-10-17. Pours a clear, dark gold with a small to moderate amount of beige head. Shines bright in the sun. Highly effervescent and nice color; hence what would have been a high appearance score. However, it is milky, cloudy, and much less attractive and darker tan in the final pour. I have to penalize the appearance score back down to average for looking like grapefruit juice mixed with coffee and cream. Pleasant, floral aroma features scents of kiwi and scented soaps. Strong and likable aroma. Quite sour and slightly bitter taste. Lemon-like astringency. Mineral. Watermelon. Soapy finish, which isn’t ideal. Not the most complex beer, but there’s a lot of acidic power here. Medium body, quite heavy for the ABV. Frothy and smooth. I like this a lot more than I expected. A well-above average Berliner Weisse. A classic Berliner Weisse, in fact, full of sour power and ready to be mixed with syrups. Hard to drink in quantity, but then again beers shouldn’t be consumed in quantity. 8.3.7.3.15=>3.6
3.2 2017/08/05 - Pours a clear yellow straw colour with a soapy, shite head that quickly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is tart lemon and green grape. Taste is tart lemon, vinegar, vinous notes and a strange backbone I can't identify. I read through some other reviews and someone else described the strangeness as "glue notes" which is close enough in my mind. Mouthfeel is medium with lightly biting carbonation and a tart, astringent, drying finish. Ok, but the strange flavours were somewhat off putting.
2.7 Can. Opaqie golden color, frothy white head. Sour, fruity aroma. Fairly bitter, sour flavor with some apple and buttery notes. Kind of weird flavor profile. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. Not my thing.
3.3 12fl oz can@Cimmeria, Oviedo. 29-08-2017. BBD: 01-10-2017. In short: sour. In long: sour Did I enjoy it: too sour. Pours hazy bright gold-greenish with nice white head. Short head retention, little lacing. Sour and citrusy nose. Light body, high carbonation, slick texture. Taste is sour and little else moer, citrusy. Quite straightforward and simple.
3.8 Dégustée à l'été 2015 (De mes notes). .
3.5 From my wife: pours pale with white head. Aroma is light citrus and funk. Taste is moderately sour. Super light yet not watery. Good.
3.4 Nice lemony citrus, sour fruity grape aroma, some pomelo albedo scents. Taste is sour, crispy tart with lots of citrusy fruitiness
4.2 Can at home. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Nose is intense stone fruits, with some sourness. Taste is low bitterness, medium high sourness. Lingering peach-seed like aftertaste. Dry mouthfeel. Very nice and refreshing sour.
3.4 A light yellow beer, a head is blond and quite big. Aroma is sour, some lemon, hint of glue. Taste has strong suorness, fruitness and lemon, same glue that was in the aroma. Surprisingly good body, slighlty sticky. Unfortunately, the glueness is bothering, otherwise, tasteful.
3.7 Bottle from ages ago (I’m guessing 2-3 years old). Clear, lightly hazy golden appearance with a white head. Aroma has light cheese, pine, funk, dank bud, and citrus. Moderately tart. Somewhat juicy and tons of flavor for 3% boost. This would not be a hard beer to chug. Pretty good.
3.7 Can Aroma-grapefruit, mango Appearance-orange, hazy, white foam, Taste-medium sourness, light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate-light body, sticky, lively, long finish, Overall-very refreshing
3.7 Fresh full on sour lemony aroma and taste, pale sour fruit, gold, intense acidic palate but not too much wine vinegar aspect, warms to suggest fresh garden vegetal aromas like zucchini, celery , aroma becomes more vinious.
3.6 Zapach średnio intensywny, cytryny, grejpfrut, trawa, zboże. Kolor żółty, mętne. Piana średnio obfita, drobna, szybko znika, lekki lacing. W smaku wytrawne, kwaśne, niska pełnia, słód, cytryny, grejpfrut, zioła, trawa. Goryczka niska, wysycenie wysokie.

3.5 Nice, easy drinkable sour with more grape fruit sourness than lactic acid but also some of the latter present
3.6 Cloudy golden color. Little head. Nicely sour taste. A lot of pleasure for only 3% ABV.
3.0 Nice high sourness and light body but some disturbing strong alcohol sometimes came up
