Evil Twin Low Life

Evil Twin Low Life

A clever woman once said; ’fair is foul and foul is fair’. On that note we threw in a young, unacknowledged hoppy pilsner, gave it a limp, wrinkly flavor and finished it off with an insulting high price that will give you a foul feeling in your mouth. That’s why we name Evil Twin Brewing’s Low Life the Golddigger of Beers.

3.4 Sort of an odd Pilsner. Very subdued traditional malt presence. Color is very dark for the world of Pilsners. Drinks more like a pale ale with a hint of Pilsen malt. Nothing objectionable here - and quite refreshing.
3.8 US pint can from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Canned in June 2017. Pours slightly hazy gold with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, pine, malt. Taste is pine, lemon, malt. Moderately bitter finish.
4.0 Can from Westhill Service Station. Pours pretty much clear gold with a fluffy white head and plenty carbonation in the glass. Looks like a super pilsner. Nose has a light lemon n lime with buttered, brown bread. Slightly soft, medium bodied with a crisp, high level of carbonation. This is super refreshing and delicious to boot. The flavours have a light lemon rind bite with a refreshing and sweet melon and white grape. A trailing grassy bitterness adds the counter that brings you back for more. This is a superb pilsner with loads of refreshment and a clean, citrus profile.
2.2 1 pint can. Unclear golden with a white head. Malt, grass, hay, hops, yeast, pine, lemon touch, metallic. Only marginally better than any pils you can find in a supermarket. Did not finish.
2.9 POUR Is A Nice clear yellow with head. Smells of citrus hops and pine. Slight citrus and light flavor, not much there or in the after taste
3.1 Can. Light golden color, frothy head. Taste is crisp and malty, some hints of hops. Light body, average carbonation.
3.4 $2.90 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours golden with a soft white head. Aroma is slightly floral, crisp grass, browning leaves. Flavor is crisp grass, green and brown leaves, light citrus, cereal, black pepper. Good.
3.4 bottle, rated around Jan. 2017 - Clear gold color, white head. It smells of grainy, cereal malts and grassy hops. Flavor is of sweet, grainy malt with a nice, crisp bitterness and a touch of fruity notes. Easy drinking and well balanced, this is a solid pils.
3.3 tasting glass @ Craft bar bangkok. pours golden with little head. hoppy, citrus aroma with hoppy, piney taste.
3.4 Evil Twin's Low Life deserves top marks for humor and modest marks for stylistic execution. This Pils pours exactly like you'd think it should. Yellow, fizzy, and clear. Malt bill has notes of cereal grains. Hop bill has notes of grass and lighter touches of citrus and spiciness. It's a silly novelty, but it works a hell of lot better than it should for what it is. As with most Evil Twin creations, this one would would encourage you to fuck yourself if you can't take the jest if it had a mouth with which to speak. It just so happens that talking beer is one of Jeppe's upcoming beer releases. I'll leave now. This is getting stupid.
3.2 [2017-01-18, Leskinen, Oulu] Oranssinkeltainen, samea, tiheä valkoinen vaahto. Maku on pilsneriksi melko sitruksinen ja kepeä; vähän kuin Witbier vähemmällä hiivalla.
3.4 The pilsener base is present with grassy notes in both aroma and taste. Things are brightened up by refreshing hops which contribute with orange and more interesting bitterness than typically seen in pilseners.
4.0 On tap at Torst, Brooklyn. Predictably, not a classic pilsner. Classic grain and pilsner malt elements are punched up with pepper, spice and juicy citrus hops. Tangy aftertaste. Serious carbonation makes it even more refreshing.
3.6 Aus der Pint-Dose. Optisch einwandfrei, schöne Perligkeit. In der Nase schön fruchtig, Trauben. Im Trunk schön hopfig, aber nicht zu grasig. Nur leicht bitter. Feines Ding.
3.4 Pour from a 1 pint can. Slightly cloudy golden brew with white head. Mild aroma of grass with a little spice. Taste is mild malt up front with a grassy bite immediately emerging. Grass and growing spice as the swallow progresses. Some citrus emerges towards the end, layering in with the other hops. Very nice.
3.4 Tap @ Ølhus København, Helsinki, 08/07/17. Pours a clear golden with a small, white head. Aroma is some grain and grass, some citrus. Taste follows along the same lines. Good quaffer, if overpriced. Just as it says on the tin.
3.7 Pale amber in colour, smallish head, medium to soft carbonation. Slight bitterness in the hops and medium maltiness, medium body. Refreshing. Excellent subtlety of a great pilsner. Best non Czech or non German pils I’ve ever tried.
4.0 Can from Merchants. Aroma is wonderful, citrus, pine, wheat, floral, slightly earthy, very nice. Appearance is darker golden, off white head, cloudy. Taste is pine, earthy, some malt bitterness, citrus, orange peel, very hoppy, very good. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, pine and malty aftertaste. Overall, it may not be as traditional as you’d like, but damn does it drink nice.
2.8 Medium body, little flavor, refreshing, clean finish. Bitter, dry, crisp. Characterless hop flavor. Refreshing but not much more.
3.2 Draft at Bru Craft. Hazy gold pour with pillowy off-white foam. A smooth grassy, lemony, herbal cough drop. Pils malts. Woody mix of hops. Eucalyptus. Limes. Honey. Limp spruce. Semi-dry finish.
3.5 Draught at Himmeriget, Cph. Hazy golden colour with a creamy white head. Sweet aroma with grasses, floral hops, citrus and pale malts. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Very smooth. Finishes dry and bitter with lingering grasses and pale malts. Excellent Pilsner, highly drinkable.
3.3 Tap at Daviola in Geyserville. Pours very slightly hazy yellow with moderate low white head. Taste has moderate grain, with solid hops coming through.
3.3 Can from Whole Foods PM. Turbid golden with white head. Nose was pale malt, hops, fruit. Mild and fruity flavor, hoppy, medium palate heft.
3.4 Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is hoppy, slight citrus, malty. Taste is light, citrus, nice balance, refreshing.
3.0 Tap @ Himmergit. Golden amber, not much head. Boiled sweet aroma. Cereal resin flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Not bad for this style of beer.
0.5 Worst beer I’ve ever tasted. Bought it before I read the label. Label describes it accurately.Limp flavor, overpriced..
3.6 can. Yellow and slightly hoppy with a small head.Medium body. Quite pleasant without being too out of the ordinary.
3.3 Can at beerfox, riga. Hazy light golden color, white head. Aroma has malts and some fruity hops. Taste is malts, hops, fruity notes.
3.2 This is a good quality pilsener. Aroma was decent. Hoppy and grassy with a hint of grains. Pour was a nice light hazy gold with a one finger white head. Taste was solid for the style. Hoppy in the front with notes of fresh cut grass and hay. Finish was a little on the sweet side with a slight buttery taste. Not enough to take away from the beer, though. Good carbonation. Would be a great summer beer
