Evil Twin Mission Gose

Evil Twin Mission Gose

Effortlessly cool, popping up up in a cultish fashion and constantly on a tasty mission. This is mission Gose: our take on a old-fashioned and slightly odd German style beer that is with good reason trending as the tastiest right now. It’s tart, salty, low in alcohol and probably the most refreshing beer you’ll have. Perhaps enjoy this beer in a restaurant with a mission near you. Wherever you are we made it stylishly good and exclusively well balanced just for you.

3.3 Can from Beergium shared. Pours hazy yellow color. Aroma of citrus, coriander, light tartness, malts, lemon, salt. Pretty light body, lightish bitterness and tartness. Could do with a bit more of taste, easy drinking gose though.
4.0 Can, 33cl, bought @ Beershoppen, Kolding. Pours light hazy golden with a small, staying frothy white film head. Aroma has lots of tart citrus, coriander, soft lactic. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, super tart at first, citrus zest, orange peel, some coriander, mild salty. Super fresh and zesty lemonade. Yum!
3.7 Hieman samea valkoinen pieni vaahto. Erittäin raikas niin maultaan kuin tuoksultaankin. Happamuutta juuri sopivasti. sopii helteiseen kesäpäivään loistavasti.
3.2 can enjoyed at home, sour and fruity with coriander and eucalyptus accents, interesting style interpretation
3.5 35,5cl Can @ Saveur-Biere, Lille, France. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, fruits, tart. Taste is malt, citrus, lime, salt, tart. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.0 355ml can bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui. Looks: Cloudy hazy golden orange colour with a cloud of misty yeast particles; One and a quarter finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Fair sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation. Aroma: Very fragrant malt, with very strong lacto tartness, strong white grapes, strong peaches, Ribenna, coriander, salt, sugar, biscuits and strong lemon. Wow! Taste: Strong tart light malt, with strong wheat, strong lacto tartness, strong yellow fruits, black currant, floral, biscuits, strong lemon and faint grass. Body: Medium body. Slick and creamy palate. Mouth Feel: Fair maltyness in a very solid and creamy background. Carbo-ish, with strong, aromatic hops and eucalyptus influence throughout, yellow fruits and herbal blackcurrant permeates but no salt. very wheaty lactic tartness but in a pleasant way. Slightly flowery with no sweetness. Bready with strong lemon to round. Superb! Hoppiness: Strong white grapes, strong peaches, Ribenna and strong lemon in nose. Strong yellow fruits, black currant, floral, strong lemon and light grass in taste; No hop bitterness, just very tart light malt finish. After Taste: Slightly dry. Lacto-fruity and tart to mouth. Comments: This one got a nice one-two punch of aroma hops and eucalyptus, the result is penetrating yet very vibrant in both the nose and taste. It also has a good body to back it all up, so the lack of saltiness can be overlooked. One of the best fusion Gose I've had so far!
4.0 26/III/18 - 12Fl. Oz. can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: n/a, canned: VII/31/17 (2018-318) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the can! Little cloudy milky pale yellowish head, practically no head, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, apricot, acidic, impression, nice stuff! MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sourish, lemon juice, very dry, thirst quenching, soft bitterness, apricots. Aftertaste: little fruity, lemony, bit spicy, coriander, more peaches, some tea.
2.9 Aroma: strong coriander with sour apples and a hint of eucalyptus. Flavour: Fruity sour with herbs and a dry and sour aftertaste. Colour: yellow with a fading white head. From: Can @ Boxbeers.com Apr. 2018.
2.0 Can. Aroma is full of coriander. Pours hazy golden with small head. Taste, however, is not what I expected. Almost acrid, medicinal, toothpaste, bleh. Notes of coriander and tartness are good, but those medicinal notes are awful.
3.2 Dåse. Uklar gylden, luftig hvid skum som svinder helt. Syrlig aroma.
Fin aroma
3.7 Buona gose in stile aspetto gialla velata quasi senza. Schiuma, al naso acidule agrumata note di coriandolo. Al palato molto da aperitivo, fresca, acidula. Nota salina leggera, sentore balsamico.
3.9 Can shared on Level 42, 13/02/2018. Many thanks! A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is salty, lime, pear, watermellon, margarita. Flavour is composed of salty lime, mellow sharp, citrus, mellow salt. Palate is semi sweet, salty, moderate carboantion. Drying finsih. Super jiicy crisp.
3.9 12 oz can shared at Konttori. Clear golden with short white head. Pleasant eucalyptus, mellow acidity, smooth malt base and little hops. I can drink this all day
3.5 Can split at L42, thanks to Danny, 13/02/18. Hazed orange with an off white cap. Nose is pissy lemon, citric tang, light spice, grains, straw. Taste comprises lemon rind, faint chemical notes, damp hay, salt licks, grassy, green berry pissoi. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent Gose action.
3.5 February 2018 - Probably the final tasting on L42, One Canada Square. Can picked up online. As 'Evil Twin Mission Gose', 4%. Pours a vibrant orange, opaque, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is lemon chicken flavoured crisps, citrus-herbal crisps, lemongrass, some Sri Lankan curry vibes. Body is light and smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is Slush Puppie, plasticky, lemon and thyme crisps, papery throughout, a little 'dusty' into the finish, a little dry breathy and metallic. Unfortunately there is also a little paint or chemical. Very, very interesting. (6-4-7-3-15=3.5)
4.0 Can shared with Dave. I was worried that the eucalyptus would be too much, but I was happily proven wrong! There is just enough to make its presence known without being overwhelming, and it provides a nice cooling sensation in the throat. Just excellent.
3.7 Pours hazy pale yellow with flat white head. Aroma of sea salt, coriander, citrus. Taste is mellow tart, salty, light lime finish. Light and crisp body with soft carbonation.
3.8 13Feb2018 Sweet grain malts, sweet citrus fruits, lemon, bitter lime coming up, bit of spices. Hazy gold, tiny, creamy, white head. Light to medium sour. More sour, citrus fruits, salty lemon, orange and lemon peel, lime juice, acidic, soft carbonation, full bodied. Decent Gose, interesting herbs and spices, rich and intense. Can shared at L42 tasting - thanks to The_Osprey!
3.5 Can shared in London - thanks to Danny. Pours hazy gold with a fluffy, white head. The nose holds dried green herbs, lemon peel. Light sweet flavor with tangy lemon, grass, straw, wheat flakes. Meidum bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Fairly clean finish, more green herbs, hay, lemon zest. Not bad.
3.7 13th February 2018 Thanks to Dan for the can. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light fairly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Good punchy fruits, nice floral minty vibe, good citrus fruits with an a salty edge. Tangy minty fruity savoury finish. Good stuff.
4.9 Fantastic beer. The salt is a surprise but works very well. The surprise is the eucalyptus. Never I have tasted a beer like this, but I was completely surprised and intrigued by this beer and will definitely be coming back for more. Keep up the good work Evil Twin.
3.7 Limey citrus sourness to both the flavour and aroma. Initial delicious sweet and sour taste with nice mouthfeel but it quickly disappears leaving you wanting a bit more.
3.3 Can. Pours cloudy pale yellow with small dense foamy whitish head, acidic aroma, high carbonation, sour, salty taste with citrus flavor, thin body, long sour finish. Refreshing, well brewed gose.
3.6 Very nice gose, fruity (pineapple). Needs a bit more sourness.
3.5 12 oz can. (K-Citymarket) Tampere, Finland. Cloudy golden color with a big foamy white head. Lemon, salt, tequila (?), gravel and lemongrass in the aroma. The flavor is tartness, lemon, some sourness, saltiness and some malt. It's easy to get bored with the gose as the shelves are nowadays filled with these. However this stands up quite nicely.
3.6 12 oz can @ Beijing China
4.0 Optisch trüb wie frische Zitronenlimo. In der Nase riecht man deutlich Eukalyptus. Im Trunk krachsauer, Eukalyptus, Koriander, dann Salz. Hammergeil.
3.5 Can that was pretty long in my cellar. Hazy light yellow with light head. Rhubarb, salt, tart notes. Medium tart with a hint of salt, lots of rhubarb, mint and other tart fruit. A nice and surprisingly complex Gose.
3.4 Can at home. Pours hazy yellow with a medium sized white head. Aroma has zesty citrus, eucalyptus and spices. Taste is sour with eucalyptus, coriander, cloves and some citrus. Strange but quite nice.
