Evil Twin Molotov Lite

Evil Twin Molotov Lite

Back in the days, only uncomplicated and tasteless beers excited and people started feeling bored before happy hour was up. Molotov Lite is a understated tour de force in rebellious hoppiness, it’s a subtle spark for action and yet by far one of the most anti-authoritative beers ever made by Evil Twin Brewing.

4.0 powerful and tasty. rife with hop mostly citrus and fuller in body while not being dense. fruit and hop length to finish it is powerful so i guess a GREAT LITE. NO ALCOHOL AND moderate body with almost a chew. finish in broomstraw with an infusion of pheromones.
3.4 Pint can. Pours a thick, poorly retained off white head, with no lacing, over a clear, light gold (SRM 4) body.......nose is malts with bread, cracker tones hints of sweet, light hop notes, including herbs, grass, almost balanced.......taste is moderate toasted malts, mild hops with light herbal tones, finishing with mild hop bitterness......mouth feel, medium light body, mild alcohol, high carbonation. This is a rather simple and light example of the I/DIPA style, being drinkable and similar to a more typical IPA in aroma and hop flavor strength. BJCP 7/2/10/4/6
3.6 473ml can bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui. Looks: Clear golden orange colour with a small cloud of misty yeast particles; One-quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Good sticky lacing with sparse slight carbonation. Aroma: Fragrant and sweet Ale malt, with peaches, yellow fruits, floral, syrups, ginger, spices, pine, resins, biscuits, lemon and grass. Taste: Medium sweet Ale malt, with grapefruits, floral, molasses, spices, pine, resins, dry biscuits, lemon, medium bitter grassy hops. Body: Mid to full body. Slick and fairly oozy palate. Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a slightly runny background. Strong grapefruit hops dominate with floral and medium sweetness. Distinct spiciness with strong pine and moderate ooze. Biscuity with strong lemon to round. Easy and nice! Hoppiness: Peaches, yellow fruits, floral, ginger, spices, pine, resins, lemon and grass in nose. Grapefruits, floral, spices, pine, resins, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is quite strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent bitter-sweet spicy malty finish. After Taste: Quite dry. Piney oozy and bitter to mouth. Comments: This one seems to have everything fall into right place: the body is well balanced, not too full (maybe wheat thinning in the works), the aroma is somewhat monotone but brightened by ginger spicyness, with just-right piney oozy hoppy finish. Probably the easiest IIPA I've had with some nice bright spots, well worth the money!
3.7 Jak na tak wysokie odfermentowanie piwo nawet w miarę słodkie. Mocny aromat chmielu, prawie benzynowy. Goryczka wysoka, krótka. Fajne, oryginalne.
3.5 Super decent, fairly classic IIPA. Not too juicy, malty backbone and a solid hopbacking.
3.3 Pint can. Tropical fruit aroma with notes of grapefruit, floral hops, pine resiny and grainy malt. Pours clear golden colored with a large tan head that has excellent retention and decent lacing. Starts with tropical fruit and grapefruit hop flavors as well as some grainy malt. Finishes dry and fairly smooth with floral and bitter pine resiny hop flavors. Decent, but flavors don’t gel well and finishes quite bitter.
3.3 Golden with some haze.Big neautiful glossy head. Medium bitternesss for the style. Some drenched dank potency for the ABV but not much dimension or complexity. Decent.
3.0 Slightly hazy, orange beer, white foam. Slightly sour aroma. Medium to full bodied. Quite harsh bitterness. Quite grassy and grapefruity. Not very sweet. Slightly sour. Decent.
3.8 Surprised at the negging of this. People have got tired of big fruit, big hops beer at reasonable prices. Shout to "Cheers" offie in Mumbles, S Wales. another winner.
3.1 Pint can at Lemmy's. Light amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of grass, nettles, spruce, some citrus, blood orange, very hoppy, sweet, resin. Flavour of resin, spruce, nettles, fruity as well, citrus, malts, orange, sugar, very very bitter. Medium bodied. Not my kind of DIPA.
4.0 Very nice double ipa.
3.8 On tap at Facebook in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is fruity caramel, herbal things, candied apples with stuff grapefruit and herbs (that's gotta be a thing, right?). Taste is tangy green apple, bitter grapefruit, herbal lozenges. Wow! How is this the "Lite" version? Frightened of what the "Heavy" one brings.
3.6 Pours clear golden-amber, evident carbonation, with continuous champagne-like bubbles that come out from the bottom. Medium cream head and nice lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, citrus and tropical fruits. Tastes very bitter, and quite "boring" on the IPA side, and I mean the usual IPA with nothing new: very bitter, caramel, grapefruit and tropical notes, hop ruled. Medium bodied, quite carbonated, very bitter ending. OK, good homework, but booooooooring!
3.0 Draft served in a snifter glass. Gold in color with little head, and dusty hop aroma. Full, slick, oily, and piny DIPA. I'd rather have a good standard IPA, though this is not bad.
3.7 473ml can from Alko, Kokkola. Pourrs golden coloured with a thick white head. Aroma has perfume, flowers, pine and hops. Flavour is citrus with fruity hops, herbal notes, grapefruit aswell. Bitter, dry. NICE!
3.7 Burk från Alko, Åbo Finland. Något mörkare bärnstensfärgad. Syltade apelsinskal, apelsinmarmelad, citrus, kakdeg, granskott, kåda. Lite värmande alkohol. Rejält humlad, sticker i munnen. Ändå inte jättestor beska, även om den förstås är där. Känns verkligen som en Molotov "Lite".
3.1 Unlike the Molotov Cocktail this is actually an IPA. But if its big sister was too over the top about sweetness and alcohol taste, this one, even if a nice one, does not offer very much to be remembered apart from a strong hoppy bitter finish and a very nice mouthfeel.
2.6 Tap. Clear yellow color. Medium size, white head, stays. Fruity, citrus, papery and yeasty in aroma. Caramel, sweet, herbal, grainy in taste. Massive alcohol, caramel and malty in taste. Soft carbonation. Alcohol heat in after aftertaste. NaH boozy shit.
3.4 Tap at pudel. Pours golden with whiteish head. Aroma is fruity, mango, citrus, raspberrkes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, raspberries, malt. Finish is dry and citrus. Overall: ok.
3.1 Tap. Clear amber beer, white head. Nose is grapefruit, malt, caramel notes. Flavor is a somewhat harsh mix of oranges, grapefruit and malty caramel. Finish is bitter, oranges, sweetness and booze. Not a fan of the harshness, but the oranges are nice.
3.9 Hazy orange gold color with a thin head of soft creamy white foam. Malt forward base with reserved grapefruit and orange fruit citrus peaking through. More caramel malt than hops though which turns me off of it a bit.
3.4 Drank 22-09-17 while writing. Hmm, expected more. Very bitter beer, a bit cirtus and fruityness in the end.
3.5 Cloudy amber color with a white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, alcohol, caramel. Medium to full body, moderate to high bitterness. Somewhat alcoholic with citrus and grapefruit, light wood. Nothing really new or exciting here.
3.2 Light citrusy and piney aromas. Gold and clear in color with nice head. Taste is of pine resin, and faint grapefruit note
3.9 1 pt can @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 12-09-2017. Batch: #025. In short: fruity bitter robust ale. Did I enjoy it: yes. Pours hazy dark gold with nice white head. Moderate head retention, little lacing. Ripe fruit, caramel, peach, mango nose. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is quite hoppy, really bitter, fruity. Robust beer with still some residual fruity sweet notes, alcohol noticed.
3.5 Draft at Bru Craft. Hazy gold pour with a fizzy foamy off-white head. Strong pine. Lawnmower clippings. Grapefruit pith and zest. Nice big hoppy IIPA that does not rely on malts to hide its bite.
3.8 Pours clear gold with thin white head. Lots of bits and pieces floating around. Aroma is fruity, caramel and pine. Flavour is pine, medium to heavy bitter, fruity, medium sweet.
3.5 Pint can from VE. Nose light melon and more traditional PNW grapefruit, etc., youch of booze. Pour rich golden with a small percentage orange mixed in, slightly hazy but barely, very large and rocky beige head. Taste medium-sweet with medium bitterness in rough balance (the sweetness wins the early rounds for sure, but the bitterness might squeak out the latter), medium-strong resin, low earth, good medium caramel, some actual malt depth, alcohol. Subtle fruit, tropical but with red berry and melon highlights. Very floral, somewhat perfumed, lots of alcohol seepage including some scorching fusels. A lot of pine, a lot of citrus. It’s a messy combination without any synergy but I like all of the flavors, there’s brightness with sticky lips, musk. So, hard to love, I think, but still has a lot going for it. [2017.08.22: 3.5]
3.6 Bottle. Pours almost clear amber. Aroma is strong pine, citric, strong sweat socks, malts, resin. Body is heavy and super bitter, with lots of pine and resin. Healthy sweetness but it can’t keep up. Maybe not quite fresh. Still good.
3.7 on tap pour clear gold off white head light aroma of grass and citrus taste is strong grass, hops and citrus smooth finish hides booze well
