Evil Twin Nomader Weisse

Evil Twin Nomader Weisse

Nomads; constantly moving, ’round and ’round; sometimes settle, if just for a bit. Perhaps the muse moves one to brew a sharp and clean session beer, one inspired by the Berliner-weisse of old, and the nomad rests. Enjoy this beer, here, there, perhaps north of Madison Square Park, in lovely New York City. Wherever you are, this beer was made nice, simply for you.

3.2 Can. Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has tart fruits and apple with a sweet wheat note underlying. Flavor has sour light fruits with a bit of apple and some sweet wheat notes supporting.
3.4 355 ml can ordered online from the LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with thin white cap. Aroma is tart citrus, wheat and some minerally character. Flavour has tart lime, wheat, salt and a little herbal character. Lightish body. Solid refreshing beer.
3.7 Hazy golden beer. Smells very wheaty, a bit wet, sour. Taste is very clean, moderately sour, wheaty and thirst quenching.
3.4 Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of sour notes with light wheat notes is OK. Taste is a pretty simple mix of tart notes with light wheat malt with limited amount of complexities. Body is average with good carbonation. Enjoyable and refreshing beer with limited complexity.

4.0 From can, thin foam, hazy golden color, thin body . Definitely sour, with hints of lemon and yogurt, goes down well... Really well. Love the style and the flavor.
3.8 Wow, when I saw this can, I couldn't wait to taste it. Very nice lively pour. Pale yellow with a decent foamy fading head. It smells a little tart, but mostly a neutral nose. First taste is lovely, very nice example of a friendly tart beer, quite yummy. I'm not much for ET but this is pretty darn good! Yes, quite nice. Does have a little bit of that processed feel to it but it is so nice! I love this style, especially when it is on style and no AH tried to put hops in it, thank you. Very delicious, from beginning to end, should have bought 2 cans at this price! Just 1.50$! Darn its all gone, drank it way too fast. But how could I help myself? I'm going to pick up a case of this fine cheap stuff.
3.5 12oz can. Almost clear golden with a foamy white head. Flavors are wheat, lemon, apple peel, cheese and yogurt with vinous notes. Sharp lactic acidity. Light body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.

3.7 Can. Cloudy pale yellow with huge white head. Lactic aroma with notes of yogurt and lemon. Sweetish-sour, citric, lemon, orange, lactic, dry finish. Light-bodied, refreshing and fun to drink.
2.8 Can from Beergium. Hazy golden beer with small and quickly totally vanishing head. Reminds me a lot of sour and gose beers with tart, citrus and apple on aroma. Taste has tart, apple and salt. Quite light.
3.0 floral, grass, spruce, citrus, herbs, golden, amber, orange, hazy, cloudy, sparkling, frothy, minimal head, white foam,
3.6 Pale yellow pour with a thin white head. The aroma is bright and lemony. Soft tartness and a bit of spice as well. There's a fruitiness and a bit of spice. Fuller bodied than is probably appropriate but it's plenty tasty.
3.8 Hazy light golden color with white head. Aroma has fermented grains, mostly wheat with lactic tartness. Taste follows with light to medium lactic tartness, lemon, grains, dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Classic, well made, refreshing berliner.
3.5 Evil Twin's 'standard' Berliner Weisse, from a can at De Kantien in Ghent. Snow white, medium sized head, not very stable and reduced to a thinnish moussy rim and open middle in instants, over a misty, ochre-tinged peach blonde beer. Aroma of unripe gooseberries and lemon juice, sour yoghurt, raw cucumber, sourdough, green apple, minerals, white bread, lime flesh. Crisp onset of unripe banana and green pear completely surrounded by a mild yet persisting, refreshing lemony sourness which stretches deep into the finish; fizzy carbonation, imposing minerally aspects on a very wheat-soapy, thinly 'white' bready body; this soapiness and breadiness defines the finish, coloured by this fresh, straightforward, lemon-like sourness. Less yoghurty and 'chalky' than I am used to from this style, more lemony, but refreshing enough, if simple and straightforward especially to Evil Twin's standards.
3.5 Trüb im Glas, helles Gelbgold, kein Schaum. In der Nase sauer-salzig. Im Trunk äußerst krachig sauer. Noten von Aprikose. Hinten trocken. Prima Ding.

3.6 Pale yellow, on tap at Craft beer co. Still, not bad, not all that memorable though, and expensive at £4 for a half. Lactic, refreshing and sour, but there are better sours out there.
3.6 Can. Hazy apricot colour. One finger tall white head. Low retention. Aroma: lactic sourness, tart fruit, berries, white bread. Light body. Soft carbo. Medium sour lactic taste initiially. After that dry fruitiness takes a lead lingering to a similar finish. Distant apricot & peach. Very refreshing. Decent.
3.6 Mmm sour beers. This one smells very sour and fruity, and has a nice orangey tinge. The taste is mostly sour-- not much fruit in there-- but it's still very refreshing. Not the most complex berliner weisse we've had in the past few months and sort of blends together in memory with other generic, but decent, sour things. Good for sipping outside a cool Saturday afternoon towards the end of summer, with stray ash from the burned down bar next door falling on your head.
3.8 Can at DCLawyer’s sour tasting. Clear yellow with off-white head. Aromas of tart citrus, wheat. Tastes of tart citrus, light wheat. Light body with a dry finish.
