Evil Twin Soft Dookie

Evil Twin Soft Dookie

English: This stout looks like soft dookie and some will say it smells and tastes like it too. If you like a thick, creamy and utterly vanillalicious stout you’ll like this one. If you don’t, get yourself something else instead.

4.0 Kicsi, tartós, barna hab, feketébe hajló sötétbarna szín. Csokis, kakaós,kávés, aszalt szilvás, aszalt meggyes illat. Csokis, kakaós, aszalt gyümölcsös ízvilág, lecsengéskor egyre erősödő kávés aromával. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, erősen keserű. Nagyon finom, de utóízében sok a keserű.
3.8 Bottle, 50 cl. Very dark brown wirh a small tan head. malty and vanilla tones. Malt, vanilla, coffee, chocolate and bitterness. Full body with a long bitter / malty finish.
4.1 12 fl oz bottle from 2015 - hopefully it cellars well! This stout is a deep opaque black tone with a thin layer of tan froth. Aromas are a mix of coffee and chocolates and roasted malts. Taste is dark chocolate mixed with espresso coffee, some caramel, and above all sweet milky smoothness. This stout feels thick enough to chew and is truly a meal in a bottle, with neverending silkiness and smoothness. Carbonation is slightly above average which gives a bit too much buzz and may be a bit distracting from the underlying richness of the flavours.
3.9 Bottle from Westhill service station. Pours black with a thin brown head that fades. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, caramel, demerara sugar and slight vanilla. Flavour is bitter espresso, fruit and nut chocolate bar and slight vanilla again. Lovely roasty linger.
4.2 This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized dark brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was vinous brown malt and dark malt. The thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong dark malt aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of molasses vanilla and vinous. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
4.0 (bottle from 2010) Pitch black coloured hue with a beige and firm foamy layer. Mildly roasted malty aroma with loads of chocolate, hints of liquorice, coconut and vanilla, also some traces of acidity/tartness in the background, accompanied by notes of candied and dried berries. Moderately sweet and rounded bitter flavour, quite full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Moderately roasted malty base, chocolate-laden taste with vanilla and almost vinous dried fruity notes; lingering roasty and vinous fruity finish with present notes of chocolate and a tinge of booze. Very well-done. 30.IX.16
3.5 Bottle. Teku. Deep black with light to moderate, semi-thick, light brown head. Poor to moderate head retention and poor lacing. Moderate to light heavy malty aroma, mainly roasted, licorice, milk chocolate, slightly coffee and vanilla. Taste is moderate;y sweet and moderately bitter - stable and long. Finish is slightly unpleasant, quite heavy roasted, slightly boozy, ashy. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. ABV warming down the throat. In overall not really impressive brew, pretty mild without character.
3.6 Bottled. Pours pitch black, tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla heavy, lactose sweetness (which is kinda surprising given the high abv), chocolate, some coffee. Flavor is very roasted malt, lots of coffee, some vanilla, lactose, thin body. I’d put this at like 6%, not over 10%. Disappointed in that one. Oh well.
3.4 Draught @ BierBier as soft Dk. Black coloured with a thin brown head. Aroma is roasted ash mostly. Flavor has roasty vanilla, tobacco notes ... somehow sweet and smooth. ok
3.5 Draught @ BierBier as soft Dk. Pitch black color with a thin brown head. Ashy, roasty aroma. Flavor has some vanilla, ash, roastedness, tobacco notes. Sweetness, somewhat smooth. Sipper. Hides abv ok
4.1 As Evil Twin Soft DK: Appearance: Very dark brown, seems clear. Good amount of dark tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, coffee, medicinal. Taste: Dark malt, roasted, burnt, coffee and chocolate. Very nice and smooth. Bought: Craft Gallery (Bern), 355 ml, CHF 6.90 Info: 17/2-2017, BB: ??/??-????
3.0 Pechschwarz, viskos. Geruch Beeren, Vanille, Trockenfrüchte, ganz leicht röstig. Im Geschmack dann allerdings sehr alkoholisch, leicht oxidiert. Recht bitter, nachhängend. Kantig.
4.1 Ölig medizinischer Vanillekaramelkratzbody trifft BIG IS Flair. Ungewöhnlich HART !! 0,3 vom Fass. TAPHOUSE Munich.
3.7 The "soft" in the name really fits to it. It is quite easy as for imperial stout - I think that some marks of banana taste could be reason for that. It’s not that aggressive and lacks the "claw", but still it is interesting and enjoyable.
3.6 On tap at Craft Republic as Evil Twin Soft DK. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, soy sauce, alcohol. Taste is roasted malt, vanilla, alcohol, black coffee.
4.3 Tap. Hazy deep brown, beige head. Good retention. Powerful aroma of dark malts, restricted smoke, brandy, dried fruit. Medium to full bodied. Smooth mouth feel. The roast gets obvious only by finish. Perfect composition.
3.5 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.6 BOTTLE 12 OZ as Soft DK. Pitch black, espresso head with poor retention. Very faint chocolate aroma with a lot of alcohol. The taste is sweet dark cooking chocolate, chocolate liqueur with a drop of vodka blending into the hoppy bitterness. A sweet and boozy kind of impy.
4.0 Bottle. A- Banana, vanilla, cocoa, milkshake, A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Tobacco, roasty, cocoa, subtle banana. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Almost tasted like a subtle banana chocolate milkshake. Really tasty. Kind of hard to explain the flavors here but not too sweet either.
4.2 Under the name"Soft DK". Black with small brown head. Sweet mild aroma with vanilla, coffee and milk notes. Mild vanilla sweetness in the taste, followed by some sourness and roasted bitterness, coffee notes. Slightly sweet aftertaste.
4.2 Aroma: Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, molasses, mocha, roasted malts and coffee. Appearance: Opaque black beer with slight yeast and with a slight/medium dark brown head. Taste/Palate: Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, molasses and mocha; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and coffee. Overall: This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Not overly sweet, nor overly bitter and dry. Could have used more vanilla and roasted malts if you ask me. Still, it is greatly balanced and really tasty.
4.0 Pours black with light beige head. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, roast, sweetness, raisin, peanuts, chocolate, cocoa, some smoke, wood, light sourness. Taste is dry, grapes, coffee, cocoa, roast, raisins, sourness, berries, sour fruits, some burned grass. Superb beer!
3.7 Na kranie w Beer Temple Amsterdam: Piwo nieprzejrzyste w kolorze czarnym z niezbyt obfita aczkolwiek gesta drobnopecherzykowa piana w ciemno bezowym kolorze. W aromacie mamy troche rodzynek, mleczna czekolada i wanilia. W smaku nie jest az tak slodko jak zapowiadalo sie w aromacie. Mamy ciasto kakaowe, palonosc i lukrecje. Goryczka troche alkoholowa z wysyceniem na dosc niskim poziomie. Intensywne i ciekawe ale myslalem ze zrobi na mnie wieksze wrazenie.
3.9 Bottle: Poured a dark black with tan head. Aroma was roast and vanilla. Taste is roast with edgy alcohol, light vanilla and creamy finish.
3.7 Really good imperial stout with a lot of hype. Good roasted malt aroma. Great flavors of malt, toffee and vanilla. Creamy and full palate. Very dark with a tan head.
3.7 12 oz. bottle, consumed on 12-4-16. Labeled as “Evil Twin Soft DK.” Has something on the order of a year of age on it. Pours dark brown with a surprisingly dark, rose-brown head. Dark amber hue. Short-lasting head, but it looks very good while it’s there. One of the darker heads I’ve seen, even in this style. Fruity aroma: Raisin, plum. Refreshing, slightly metallic smell. Roasted malt aroma. Nice, chocolatey taste, but it’s a pretty dark chocolate. Char flakes. Booze-soaked raisins. Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting. Not particularly sweet at all, in fact, and I think that’s to the beer’s benefit. Alcohol heat noticeable to a surprising degree given how much age is on this. Burnt malt finish and aftertaste. A bit of the metal from the aroma also is present in the finish, which isn’t ideal. For the most part, a nice, typical, imperial stout flavor. Full body. A bit oily in the palette. Surprisingly easy to drink. Unremarkable palate effects. A pretty good imperial stout is a very good beer, and this is a pretty good imperial stout. It didn’t blow me away, but I definitely enjoyed it. A remarkably poorly named beer under it’s original name; the name both disgusts and misleads, as it smells and tastes nothing like suggested.
3.7 Pours black, small grey head. Smell is roasty, taste is full, roasty, vanilla, mild sweetness. Very nice! easy drinkable, especially for the abv. Bit low on the mouthfeel .
3.4 Nice beige head quickly dissappearing. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, cocoa, roasted malts. Semi dry with alcoholic finish. Some chocolate, coffee, licorice. Carbonation is far too high. Body is medium. Sharp, alcoholic bitter is really annoying. Expected more from this beer. Average Imperial Stout with much better aroma than taste.
