3.2 15.07.2018, 1 pint can @ summer house in Blvand: Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, deep amber color. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, mild espresso, caramel, chocolate pudding, grass, toast, lactose. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, weeds, roasted grain, mild espresso, hay, bark, toast, paper, fruit stones, soil, dark malts, sour coffee, harsh hops. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly watery and harsh sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Nice aroma...
3.4 Aroma: Nutty, coffee, caramel, roasted malt and grainy notes, faint aroma of hops. Appearance: Clear brown (surprise, surprise), frothy, white head. Taste: Medium bitterness, very slightly sour, semi dry. Palate: Medium carbonation, medium body. Overall: Average brown ale boosted with coffee. Nothing special.
4.1 Smell was fucking amazing, heaps of coffee and almost chocolatey notes. Aftertaste could be better but overall was great
3.9 Can. Tan colour with light brown head. Really great aroma would probably be great on a nitro tap. Great hints of coffee with malt flavour
4.0 Very dark brown (darkest brown ale I have ever seen) with a few tan bubbles. Aroma of raisted coffee, which is the predominant taste but this is modified with hop and spice flavours. A conundrum but a nice one.
3.4 Can. Pours reddish dark brown with deep ruby reflection; two fingers and half thick compact creamy light tan head. Looks very good. Strong moka coffee powder aroma, a little dusty. Taste is full on moka coffee with a nice nutty bitter backbone. The bitterness rounds a bit in the finish and leaves an almost sweet aftertaste. Thin bodied, a bit water. IMHO the mouthfeel doesn't do justice to this otherwise nice brown ale.
3.5 Enormous coffee aroma, some nuts, cake and biscuit. Hazy brown to copper color with small sized tan head. Taste is mild, some bitter cocoa biscuit boots. Coffee in aftertaste. Medium body, soft carbonation.
3.5 Canned 473ml. -at Craft Room Zagreb, shared with Marko and Trolleo. Deep amber (almost brown) coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, coffee and whiff of chocolate in the nose. Coffee, filtar coffee, notes of citrus and mild herbs with slightly too watery palate. Not bad but...
3.5 Can at Craft Room. Quite lovely coffee aroma, vague chocolate in the background, dry. Dry taste, bitterish, coffee, but simple and not moreish. Too simple/watery. Nice in a way buy just lacks something...
4.3 My favorite brown ale example so far. The roasted nut and light coffe flavour is perfectly well balanced with the malty sweetness. Very nicely drinkable beer.
Ciekawa ta kawa... reszta, no nie wiem.
Textura oleosa. Aroma a cítricos, café, ligeramente herbal. Rica.
3.4 Slightly hazy amber-brown color with beige head. Aroma has toasted malt and a bit of sweetened coffee. Taste follows with sweet caramel malt and some coffee flavor with low bitterness. Medium to light body with medium carbonation. Really decent brown ale with soft coffee notes.
3.2 Smell of coffee, cocoa. Cola colour, high brown head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, caramel malt. Sweet, mildly bitter. Wild carbon. Weird but functioning combo.
3.0 Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can poured into a cup. Medium brown with medium beige head. Aroma is nuts, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is nuts.
3.3 Aroma: african coffee, roasted dark malts, esters, red fruits, caramel. Appearance: hayz brown color and creamy head. Taste: coffee, stalky herbal bitterness, roasted dark malts, hazelnuts, caramel, astringent. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: really strange, nice coffee notes and really stalky and astringent finish, disappointing.
3.7 6/13/2016 -- from notes: 16oz can, from Country Fresh Vine St. Batch 1. I had the Founders Sumatra a couple days ago.. Right off the bat, I'm enjoying this more. Medium-plus body, but more full and creamy, and a smoother mouthfeel. Light dry finish. Red brown color, hazed up with lots of thick particles in the body. Good off-white head, leaving frothy lace. Nice chocolate, mild nuttiness, coffee. Mild touch of berry, hint of earth. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, mild dry on the back end. Tasty, satisfying, smooth and easy-drinking coffee brown ale.
3.7 Schönes Braun, stabiler Schaum, in der Nase Malz, Vanille, Kaffee. Im Trunk deutlich Kaffee, Schokolade, mittig malzig. Sehr interessant für ein Brown Ale. Passt.
3.4 Can. Pours a clear brown color with full frothy head. Aroma of coffee bean, vanilla, roasted malt, tobacco. Medium body. Average carbonation. Smooth texture. Taste same as aroma. It's pretty good.
3.7 Keg at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, light smoky coffee nose, dry-creamy and rich, with a malty bitter finish.
3.8 Keg at Craft Beer Co., Old Street. Black, smooth. Liquorice and coffee aroma. Initial sweetness dies into very assertive bitterness
3.4 CAN. (Batch#001 16.51). Straight from can. Appears a light brown, with a light “head” colour.. Sweet syrup/biscuit aroma, little coffee beans as well.. Medium body, much like aroma sweet malt, biscuit syrup vine, coffee is lite, but sweet to finish.. Sourced Bev Mart Honolulu
2.0 Watery brown ale. Coffee is strong and bitter. An odd combo as used to coffee in stout and porter. Feels a bit losing in texture and a full pint is a bit of a drag and I tossed away half a can.
3.7 Dark, clear red-brown beer with an off-white head. Smell is coffee, malt and a bit of citrus. Flavour is initially a strong, bitter hit of coffee but it does mellow out a bit on that front. There's a spicy, peppering quality that lingers on the tongue. Rich and smooth, earthy malt. Aftertaste ends up being quite mellow with just a touch of sharpness.
2.9 Pour from 16oz can. Clear dark brown color with foamy head. Sweet coffee aroma, but fairly bitter in flavor. The coffee flavor is a bit overpowering.
3.8 Evil Twin Wet Dream Brown Ale 747416 Lukt: Kaffe, krydder, røsta malt. Utseende: Sort. Skum/kullsyre: Dekkende skum. Smak: Røsta malt, kaffe, sjokolade, krydder. Hvor: Melkebaren, Sandnes. Medium: Tapp@250ml, ABV@6%, Når@21.11.2017
4.0 On Tap, @Señor Lúpulo.
