Evil Twin Yang

Evil Twin Yang

3.6 Bottle. Clear golden pour with tan head. Aroma has sweet malt and bitter citric notes. Taste has instant bitterness. Heavy body and ends with a good bitter kick. Medium carbonation
3.6 Aromas of citrus, herbs, lemon, pines, butterscotch, caramel, cracker malt and tangerine. Pours deep copper with moderate lacing and thin white foam. Taste brings bright citrus hops, honey, tangerine, honeydew, bitter hops, resin, herbs and pines upfront. Mid palate offers earth, alcohol sugar, caramel, tangerine, mango and cracker malt. Finishes bitter and boozy with residual hop oils. Overall, a solid offering with classic IPA bitterness and resin.
4.0 355 cc bottle. Bought in Beervana in Santiago. Not a hoppy smell, well yes of course, its an ipa, but not in the super tropical smell, this is more alcohol, oaked even, wood, black fruits. Golden/amber color low head. Super taste. Very good beer. Kind of wood tasting ipa, but not acid at all. Have to try it, guys. Fantastic.
3.3 Can with no date on it brewed at Dorchester Brewing Company, batch 001. Light hazy golden with a large off white head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Flowers, golden bread, alcohol and grain in the nose. Mild flavour with dust, hay, golden bread, dry flowers, white sugar and light citrus. Medium to full body, soft texture, medium sweet and heavy bitter with some drying alcohol. Long dry finish. Not harsh despite the abv, but not that flavourful either.
4.3 Buena presencia, espuma espectacular. Fruta madura y caramelo. Con cuerpo, oleosa. Resinosa y amarga. Calidez alcohólica. Son muchos grados y se notan pero están muy bien integrados. Potente!!
4.1 Bottle from BottleDog, London, and shared at Dan’s. Pours hazy golden amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, citrus fruit, pine, and leather. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average to soft carbonation.
3.9 Pours orange with a light hazelnut and white head. A strong citrus hop, floral, spice and grain aroma. A sweet citrus, caramel, fruit malt, bitter hop and spice taste. A lingering bitter hop and spicy aftertaste.
3.7 Nose is weak, but the pour’s godlike in its beauty. Monstrous malt-heavy hop bomb, dripping with resinous pine and caramel, deep and semisweet with a slight orange-citrus undertone. Comes across a bit simple, what with the moderate sweetness and massive bitter finish, kind of like a bigger, meaner Dale’s. Apricots and pine needles on the finish, and once again the booze is undetectable. Better when atop its counterpart, but Yang’s not bad on its own.
3.6 Clear dark copper, tanned lacing foam head. Strong hoppy aroma and bitter taste. Some hay notes. Lasting aftertaste. Good. (Velp 201703)
3.6 Pours golden amber with an inch of beige head. Aroma is citrus, mango, perhaps some tobacco (this must be on my mind - 3 times today I smell tobacco in my beer). Flavor is bittersweet fruit - peach or mango, grapefruit peel, light pine turning thicker in the finish. Nice. Sticky.
3.7 Bottle, cask. Pours medium ruby amber, totally opaque, and with dead skin floating around. Scent is cherry wood and light caramel. Taste is lovely cherry dipa with flavors of ethanol and whiskey cask. Finish is lovely dipa but fairly predictable. Great.
3.7 Tap at beerlovers. Pours darker blonde to amber. Smell is intense, bit hoppy, malty, bit bitter. Taste is aromatic, hoppy, very malty, intense. Almost like a barleywine.
3.8 butelka. bursztynowe, klarowne, nieznaczny osad drożdzowy układa się nie dnie szkła. piękna, drobnopęcherzykowa, jasnobrązowa piana, pozostawiająca ładne koronkowanie. w aromacie wyraźna podbudowa słodowa, czuć granulat chmielowy, gorzkie cytrusy, nieznaczna nuta rozpuszczalnikowa. w smaku dobry balans słodko-gorzki, niskie nasycenie. alkohol szczypie w język.
3.8 Deep amber pour with white, small, disappearing head. Aroma of floral hops, pine resins and some cheesy esters. Taste is bittersweet, with the resin-like hops nicely overshadowed by a huge, sweetish malt base. Surprisingly creamy, medium bodied and with a low carbonation level. Long, hoppy aftertaste. It blends amazingly well with ET’s Yang imperial stout to produce a very well balanced and smooth Black & Tan.
3.7 Full caramel backbone, pine heavy, honey, medium a bit harsh bitterness, zest and resin, solid.
3.5 It’s just like barley wine, quite sweet but it’s very good ... Delicious, together with bitterness, which causes that it leaves a decent aftertaste.
3.2 Very hazy orange and copper coloured with a thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of honey, earth, yeast, apricots, citrus and a ton of resin throughout. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and resin flavours at first with a big dose of alcohol and dry malt coupled with some fruity elements of apricots, pears and apples and ending with a dry, honey and lightly hoppy and bitter flavour. Aftertaste shows some grain and dry grass, coupled with a resinous and piney flavour and ending with a good deal of alcohol and some sweet honey flavours. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA with some nice flavours and bitterness, but nothing special here nor worth searching after. I sampled this alongside the Evil Twin Yin, and preferred that one to this beer, in their respective styles. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from The Crystal City Wine Shop (20th Street Location) in Arlington, Virginia on 28-April-2015 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington on 05-Februay-2017.
4.0 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
4.0 Amber pour with an ample white head. Aromas of caramel, pine hops. Flavor is of hops and oak. To me, this almost qualifies as a barley wine. More on the malty side, but finishes dry. Good beer overall.
3.8 Bottle. Fairly clear reddish orange. White foamy head. Hoppy nose. Syrupy, sweet, herbal, resin. Flavor is dusty wood, grains, herbal hops, light sweet notes. Finishes dry.
4.1 Clear deep amber, off-white thin head, bit lacing. Malty aroma, sweet with caramel, surypy bread. Medium to full, semidry & bitter, long finish, rich in flavor, potent carbonation, toasted malt, earthy hops and bit woody notes. Tasty, balanced, lots of flavor, nice.
3.4 Bottle at home, deep copper with white head with hops, malty caramel, sweet fruits and biscuit taste, leaving a sharp bitter, biscuity aftertaste a bit to bitter for me.
4.3 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with little foam. It smells of sweet malts and resin. Tastes malts, resin and dry hops. Lingers in the mouth. Cannot sense the high ABV. Very, very good.
4.0 Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a small white head on the edges. Somewhat lacy. Aroma of floral hops, caramel malts and grass. Flavour of caramel malts, sweet fruits, crispy hops and some alcohol. Full bodied with a lovely fruity, warming, bitter finish
4.0 Barwa bursztynowa, piwo mętne. Piana mało intensywna, szybko się redukuje. Zapach- multiwitamina - dużo owoców tropikalnych i landrynek
1.2 Tap - just too bitter for me, mistakenly ordered it when I really wanted Yin LOL. What can I say, bitter start, bitter middle, bitter finish. If youblike bitter this is the beer for you
3.6 Strong, distinctive product with red and dark berries, biscuits, resin and some plum. A bit too sweet to reveal malts. Balanced with wide taste spectrum. Deep orange, hazy liquid with minimal/small white head.
