3.1 Brown with a thin, frothy head. Aroma of roasted grains, walnuts. Taste is mildly bitter through with a mild, grainy finish. Body to the light side of medium, moderate carbonation, mild watery notes. Simple but okay.
3.1 Bottle from Bierkoning. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, toasted malt, nutty notes, hint of tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter to moderate. Body is medium. Decent Dunkel.
3.5 Bottle 0,5 ltr: Clear dark brown coloured brew with an slightly dry bitter taste, hints of roasted malts and cola-esque caramel.
3.2 Rather plain for the style. Lacking much of anything, and on top of that has some minor foggy muddled off flavour issues. Online hier gibt bier
2.5 Sampled at THT August. Clear light chestnut with small beige head. Cardboard, caramel, brown sugar, chestnuts, bitter herbs. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel.
3.1 Pours a copper-brown with white head. bready malty aroma and taste, fairly sweet. Notes: bottle pour at the Source, Sep '18
3.6 500ml Bottle - Dark amber/copper in colour. Biscuity aroma with notes of caramel and nuts. Nuts, biscuit mix and hints of cocoa in the taste. Nicely balanced, enjoyable and its taste belies its strength.
3.4 7 August 2018. Bottle provided by the apartment in Bamberg. Cheers to Anke! Pours clear dark amber with a lasting, thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of dusty cellar, old bread, yeast, sourdough, ripe fruit in a basket, caramel. It tastes medium malty sweet, hints of caramel, bread, ripe fruit, and light herbal bitter, quite yeasty too with a sourdough-like effect. Not too dry, yeasty, bready finish, lingering caramel. Something between a Keller and a Dunkel, and actually quite good.
3.2 Dark ruby/brownish body with a small, vanishing white head. Aroma is caramel and cherry. Taste is malty sweet with notes of caramel and toffee. Hoppy bitter finish. Almost piney I'd say. Light body, medium carbonation, thin texture
3.5 11-11-17 // bottle shared. Clear amber brown. Light roasted malts, caramel, some bread. Smooth.
3.6 Bottle, gift from Fassla. Clear dark brown. Nutty aroma, a little bit roasty. Some chocolate, chestnuts, slightly roasty but rather sweet. Medium body, bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Fizzy.
3.2 Bottle, 500 ml, shared with JFK10000 and Max. Pours brown, off-white head. Caramel, malty, some fruity notes, sweet. Vague bitterness in finish. Light to medium bodied.
3.4 From bottle. Transfer of an earlier rating without text recorded, rating only.
3.2 500ml bottle at Cafe Zuckerl, Bamberg. Dark ruby and clear. Solid, malty sweet aroma. A little dark malt bitterness, with a smooth palate.
2.2 Flat brew with few roast malt aroma over watery 6% (?!). Low drinkability as all Fässla beers (that I now by now) but without the extreme high taste covering carbonation.
3.3 500ml bottle at home, Munich. Courtesy of Chris. Aroma is malt and light oats. Appearance is dark brown with a thick white to brown foam. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Good.
3.9 Nice beer to start the night, medium sweetness but also hoppy notes are present.
3.7 A beautiful beer with plenty of promise but sadly, it doesn´t fulfill. Or does it? Dark amber colored with a nice, white head and a sweet aroma promises a heavy, tasteful beer but no... It tastes slightly bitter and a bit sour. So it looks and smells like a good food-beer, it´s actually a great thirst cruncher for those summer-nights... I like.
2.8 0,5l bottle at home courtesy of amazngwrldfood and selected by SinH4, big thanks to both. BB 18.10.2016. copper clear color, small off-white head. smells of tobacco, light plums, some cardboard, spices. okish smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of spices, tobacco, peppery, light cardboard again, a bit grainy. finishes lightly dry with notes of spices and tobacco. quite average beer.
3.5 The beer has a delicious look. The beer is dark, and has a nice dark amber color in the light and a dark brown color in the dark. The beer is crystal clear. Some tiny bubbles can be seen rising towards the top. On top of the beer, a small layer of rough slightly grayish foam is formed. It collapses quickly, to leave a thin drape. The smell is a little mild, but not bad. There is a nice tiny bitter touch of roasted barley. I also smell some lovely hop aromas. There is a nice bitter aroma and a fruity sweetness. This fruity aroma is lovely, but I can’t really define what it is. Maybe there is a touch of strawberry. The taste is also very nice. There is a firm bitterness, balanced by some malty sweets, a tiny salty touch of roasted barley and a fruity sour twist. The balance is great. The palate of the beer is normal. A bit more kick wouldn’t harm the beer. But like this, it also ain’t bad. Good beer.
3.4 Bottle at home, amber beer, small head. Aroma is mout, caramel. Taste is the same, bittersweet-ish, bit watery
