Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head!

4.2Golden color with a white head. Intense fruit and pine hop aroma. Fairly potent bitterness. Medium body. Great stuff. An index beer for the style.
3.7Key at BD Tower Hill. Low key floral and resin aroma. A slightly hazy amber. Creamy white head. Light bitter with a herby sweetness. Restrained but pleasantly so. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long very dry finish. Nice herby/spicy IPA. Not hop overkill.
5.0Most palatable ipa without over top bitterness. My top ipa. One of easiest ipa beers for starting ipa drinkers to want another.
3.8Bottle pour into tulip glass at German Biergarten, Philadelphia airport. Appearance is lightly hazy, basically clear orange with minimal sparkle, finger-width off-white head with fair retention and light lacing and light colored sediment. Aroma is dank resin, pine and strong malt backbone. Taste is dank resin bitter with light citrus fruit and pine with bready malt backbone. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, nice alcohol warmth, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good but not earth-shattering like other ratings. Decent complexity and good flavor but visible sediment and overcarbonation are drawbacks.
4.0Bottle from Frank's. Slightly hazy golden. Pine, tropical fruits, bit of grapefruit, mostly pine. Fairly bitter and dry. Robust malty backbone. Solid IPA.
3.5Where and how: at the brewpub in PA
Aroma hops were somewhat muted, grassy profile, fresh floral feel behind.
Appearance :
Top: lighter white top, short lived.
Base: amber gold
Palate: medium plus bodied, average carbonation, long finish
Taste: much bolder here, juicy greens, tad raw but none of harshness that sometimes goes with it. Alcohol well hidden. If not aroma, this brew would be top notch.
3.914 Nov tap. light gold with occasional bubbles. nose is bitter grassy hops. thin body and fizzy. very bitter grassy hops. nice.
4.0Keg, metro mayhem. clear deep gold, thin white head. Big aggressive hop aroma, hint of vanilla. Taste is bitter beginning and end. A proper big dry af IPA. Solid.
4.5Amber pour from a bottle into a glass with a small one finger head. Aromas of pine, citrus fruit and resin. Tastes of carmel, resinous hops and some lingering grapefruit with a long bitter finish. Slick, oily mouthfeel with little carbonation. Bold and flavorful. Reminds me a bit of Troegs perpetual.
4.6Stellar example of the West Coast style. That's why this small Ohio brewery often wins awards over West Coast breweries. Aroma spot-on with tropical notes. The flavors are a complex yet highly drinkable myriad of more restrained malt and full-on tropical tastes. The mouthfeel is full and filling with a long lasting lingering finish. Overall this is one of the rare beers that is very special, yet highly available in Ohio.
3.3Nothing special here. It’s a fine IPA, not particularly sessionable, it’s a little bitter but not too much. It’s a run of the mill brew for me.
3.9Draft. Apricot color with an off-white head. The aroma is hoppy with a resinous pine note. It also has some Carmel in the flavor. The taste is bitter.
3.8Golden pour, white head. Nice piney aroma. FathFlavor is excellent, resinous, quite bitter, with grapefruit and a light malty backbone.
3.7Solid IPA, with medium golden bodied with citrus and pine flavors. Do I dare call it a classic style IPA? Enjoyable shift beer the 1st beer I’ve sampled from Fat Head’s Brewery.
4.1Pours a medium amber, coppery coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Smells of caramel malt, citrus/tropical fruit: grapefruit, pineapple and pine. Taste is quite malty and resinous, with strong hoppy accents. Notes of caramel malt, citrus/tropical fruit: grapefruit, pineapple and pine. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and a good bit of pine coming through in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. I'm not even sure if I know what East/West Coast IPA is anymore, but this a great example of that typical, resinous, malty, citrus bitter IPA, but with a tropical twist. Personally, I could very well do without that pretty dominant pineapple note, but a great brew nonetheless.
3.1Bottle (Feb 9, 2018 bottling).
Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with a hint of onion.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Pretty simple aroma, not very enticing but fairly clean. Good flavor balance in the mouth, but a bit watery. Ordinary overall.
3.7An aroma that gives hops and citrus zest. Nice, medium bodied, with a good dose of hops that are dry and bitter, but not at all over the top. Grapefruit with a really light hint of malt lying beneath.
4.9this is my regular go-to beer. strong hints of pine and grapefruit - very citrus. no hint of alcohol whatsoever.
5.0amazing beer. great taste and decent alcohol content.
4.4Awesome IPA on draft at Champps in Collegeville. This beer had a massive amount of hops, in both the aroma, flavors and finish. The combination of hops used in this beer definitely define this one. I could have sat there and had a few more of these, but the 7.5 abv pretty much prevented that. I tasted of pine and citrus notes in the body as well. This beer deserves all the awards it seems to have won. It's absolutely fantastic!
4.7Great IPA, one of the finest I've tasted. The aroma is a heavy piney smell, a bit of pineapple too. Strong bitter taste but satisfying to any IPA fan. Very enjoyable to drink.
3.8Bottle into a snifter showing well filtered pale amber with half a finger of quickly dissipating clean white foam.
The nose shows pronounced mandarin oranges with light pine around the edges.
The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately intense flavors of blood orange with very light pine resin around the edges. Finish is strong sharp pine IPA finish. Not bad but bitterness is a bit strong.
4.2Bottle pour. Nice traditional IPA. Pours a dark crisp amber. Strong hops on the nose. Medium strong bitterness but smooth flavor profile. Really good.
4.8I’m not specifically a fan of west coast style iPas but this beer is so smooth it more than makes up for any conflicts in preference. Very enjoyable summer beer.
4.4clear, amber color; beautiful citrus hop aroma; fantastic citrusy hop flavor with some pine notes; an assertive West Coast IPA; fairly light malt background lets the hops shine; outstanding
4.3Pours a pale copper color with a white foam head. Aroma is bright and vivid citrus, pine, and floral hops and resin. Flavor is juicy citrus, resin, and pine. High bitterness. Has some carbonation and a medium body. Quite good.
3.5On tap at the Fat Head’s Brewery & Saloon. Tropical aromas, pineapple. Clear orange with a mostly lasting white head. Juicy, fruity, yellow. Medium bodied.
4.5Keg 2017-06-09.
Pours an orange-yellow with little white head.
Beautiful citrus favor; bursts of grapefruit with lime and orange not far behind. Slight malt that perfectly compliments the intense, hoppy profile of this fantastic IPA.
Would order again, and again.. and again.... aaand again.
Refreshing, diverse, genius.
4.3Draft in the Philly Airport. Fruity and juicy nose, with apricot, orange, cream, spearmint, resin, pine. Bitter, fresh, juicy finish. About as good as an IPA gets these days.
4.4This IPA is spot on. Nose is clear American hops. Taste is sweet and hoppy hop candy with minimal bitterness. Perect body. Really an excellent. IPA.
