3.8 This is a beast of an IPA, so much so that it might as well be a really hoppy American Strong Ale. Boozy, bitter, tropical fruits, syrupy sweet malt backbone. The grapefruit aroma is the most pronounced. It’s a sipper.
3.6 No date on bottle. Pours a golden amber with a thin white, tight head. Lots if sediment floating ( not expected ). Aroma is pine and a little sweet resin. Definitely alcohol esters. Flavor is more of a Barleywine. Might have some age which is skewing my rating. Some pine and citrus are present but mostly aged maltiness. Not terrible, but too much alcohol for the amount of hops.
3.8 Pours rich hazy copper color with off white head. Aroma is citrus with pineapple and pine. Thick syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor starts out with sweet fruity malt and citrus followed by pineapple and finishing with a thick pine resin. Some lingering bitterness and mouth left tingling.
3.2 I dunno I can see through this one. As in what it aspires to be. Yet this beer is tier 2 in IPAs for me. Straight forward and to the point. Light foam goes quickly. Fresh hop aroma. Golden colored.
3.1 Share by Pinkzambia A big sharp IPA. Hazy golden and a big mostly piney aroma and flavor. Dry and a bit hash. Definitely a double
3.4 Bottle: Clear gold color with a small head. Alcohol and rubber aroma followed by a great flavor of sweetness and a bitter trailer. A bit musty . . . has the potential to blow you away but stops short.
3.1 Draft. Slightly hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of grass, pine. Taste is malt forward with bitter lemongrass. Not sure why this needs such a high abv.
3.4 Cloudy orange color with low fizzy head. Surprised the nose is so light given the massive hoppy flavor that smacks your taste buds immediately. There is a fair amount of alcohol to support the hops but not enough malt. This is one dimensional to an extreme which can have its place.
3.3 Cloudy orange, small lace on top. Light nose. Sharp bitter start, peppery , caramel sweet in the middle, building up medium long lasting
4.1 Bottle to shaker glass. Pours hazy apricot/amber, two finger head, moderate lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, caramel, orange peel. As for the taste, very bitter with notes of stone fruits and herbs, slightly sweet backbone. Full bodied, lots of small bubble carbonation, very juicy mouth feel. Alcohol is noticeable. Finishes long and quite bitter, with notes of spruce, grapefruit, cherry, herbs and caramel malts. Sticky on the mouth long after the finish. Very nice but dangerous.
3.6 4/VII/14 - 12 Fl. Oz. bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2014-699) Thanks to Dominiek for the bottle! Clear deep orange beer, small aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, caramel, malty, bit fruity, peaches, overripe fruits, mango, bit of chlorine. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and caramel malts, sugary, alcohol, some cooked fruits, something off, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, jam, lots of alcohol, caramel, very dry, bitter.
3.6 Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice hazy orange color with a moderate white quarter finger head. The head faded within about twenty seconds and left some light stringy lacing. The smell started off with a ton of citrus with a nice light dosing of pine and tropical fruit. The taste was basically the same but added a nice light sweet bready maltiness. On the palate, this one sat just a tad above medium on the body with a more of a sipping quality to it. Once again, I didn’t really find this too sessionable, and that was probably due to the fact that this one was just too high in ABV. Overall, for the most part this was a nice DIPA (er uhmmm...Triple IPA perhaps) as the alcohol isn’t noticed that much. I’d have this again.
3.6 Transfer from BA review on 4-25-12 - Served in a 10 oz. chalice glass Appearance – Served a hazy orange color with a moderate white head. The head faded rather quickly to leave a healthy bit of lacing. Smell – There is a nice buttery biscuit aroma with plenty of good citrus smells. Some hints of pine and tropical fruit aromas are present as well and when mixed with a nice caramel aroma create a very pleasing smell. Taste – For the most part the same flavors were present throughout the entire taste, but with varying intensities. A big bready malt taste was up front and remained strong throughout the taste. In the beginning the malty taste was mixed with a tropical fruit and light caramel sweetness and a good shot of more bitter pine hop flavor. The sweetness faded over time and the bitter hop grew stronger and stronger as the taste advanced. At the end a strong bitter hop was there and lingered on the tongue with the biscuit malt. While these were the main flavors, one in which I expected, was absent; surprisingly there was almost no alcohol flavor in this rather potent (11.8 %) brew. Mouthfeel – Thick and chewy with a lower level of carbonation. The creaminess coated the tongue and this coupled without no burn of alcohol made it very easy to drink; somewhat dangerous for such a strong brew. Overall – It had good characteristics. The flavors were nice, it had a wonderful aroma and it was very easy to drink, but due to all tastes being present at all times and the more subtle changes it was somewhat unexciting. Quite good but not great.
3.7 Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy sour citrus earthy resin hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a solid beer.
3.5 A nice beer but way too hot. Aroma was outstanding. Strong resinous hops with a heavy grapefruit smell. Sticky pine as well. Pour was a cloudy medium gold with some sediment (plus!). Taste was very hot and alcoholic. Strong resinous flavor. Tastes like the scrapings from inside a bowl. Sticky pine and grapefruit were thick and dominating. Not much else going on. Light carbonation...a little disappointing. A little more bubbles would have made this beer more refreshing rather than a chore to finish.
1.5 650ml bottle. This is just too much, 11.5 and only 74 ibus, all really tomatoey acidic hops.
3.4 Bottle poured an orange amber color with a coating of white head that fell right off. Aroma has pines, resins, caramel malt, and some heat. Mouth feel is medium and the carbonation on the low side. Flavor gets the hops to a brutish level, resins, sweet malt, big punchy alcohol, and a lingering finish.
2.2 12 fl. oz. bottle shared by my brother. Clear deep golden with a thin white head. Really boozy with very little hops our malt character. Might be too old. A bit more flavour than nose but still too much booze. Bad.

3.7 Aroma: Whole Cone Pineiness, Bready Malts Appearance. Mild Hazy Amber/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head, Some Lacing Taste: Piney, Whole Cone Hops, Mild Grapefruit Rind Mouthfeel: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Drying
3.6 Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Smells of spruce and pineapple. Taste is bitter and sweet - citrus and pine hops with a mild malt backbone.
4.7 Had to try a triple IPA to say I’ve done it. A good-tasting beer, but a style with way too much alcohol to throw a few back. Intensely rich hops & malt, almost slightly sweet, I do not sense the citrus though. Good taste nonetheless.
3.7 Pours clear amber color. One finger medium lasting head. Aroma is of complex hops and grapefruit. Taste is sweet from the fruit but smooth malt flavor mostly. Not very hoppy on the taste. Smooth on the palate. Good beer just wishing for more hop taste
3.5 12oz bottle. big IIPA at 11.5%, sweet maltiness, grapefruity & piney hops. BIG beer
3.8 Bottle pours copper with creamy tan head. Aroma of flowers and citrus. Flavors of pine, cedar, and sweet ruby red grapefruit with a sweet, smooth hop finish. Very complex flavorings throughout the session. Unique IPA.
3.4 Longneck, Ok label. Almost clear, light gold, with a thin and dense white head. Big hoppy aroma, some sulfur. Sweet, a little musky, candied with pineapple, lemon, grapefruit esters. Very warming. Citrus peel on the lips. Heavy and oily. Big beer, but I didn’t love it. Thanks to LuckyDog.
3.6 This one poured a hazy orange color with an off white head.A roma was of fruity hops, grass, light caramel, and booze. Flavor was nice hop profile, fruity and piney, moderate sweetness and alcohol.
3.7 On tap at HOTB. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma of peach and mango. Taste is a bit strange though. Something harsh there. Medium body and high carb.
3.9 On tap at HOTB. Piney resin aroma, light neutral fruit character. Sweet with some caramel. Big hop nose. Medium golden amber clear with thin white head. Medium-heavy body with medium-high carbonation. Moderately sweet with caramel, candy sugar and sticky resinous hops. Ozone and piney-spicy notes. Big bitter hops flavor throughout with rubbery ozone hop funky finish. Lots of resin. Medium sweet finish/after.
