Fierce Cafe Racer

Fierce Cafe Racer

Café Racer is a dark roasted coffee and vanilla porter with a hint of danger. A nod to the speed-crazed bikers who risked life and limb to race from one greasy spoon café to the next – dark as your favourite leathers, smooth as a Triumph Bonneville and crazy as going ton-up and heading for the hairpin.

4.9 The smell before you start drinking is amazing. The flavour of this beer is amazing. Fantastic.
3.7 Shared can at Mi2 at Cardinal 16.12.19. Ebony. Persistent beige head. Aroma and taste of roasted barley, vanilla and coffee Balanced by grapefruit bitterness.
3.4 Can @Les Vignerons (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma abbondante color cappuccino, mediamente persistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Un po' forzata e stucchevole.
4.0 Opaque black beer with a slight/medium brown head. Medium aroma; taste starts medium/heavy sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Lactose, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. 7/5/8/4
3.7 On tap at Fierce Edinburgh. Pours black with a tan head. Coffee, chocolate, strong vanilla, little roast. Smooth body. Nice.
3.7 24/05/2019 - draught @Brewdog Brussels, shared with a colleague. Black colour with small tanned head. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, fruits. Taste is a bit roast, chocolate, bit caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, sweet. Nice
3.8 GYG 180519. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is bonfire, roasted malt, coffee. Flavor is bonfire, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Nice beer.
3.5 Can. A dark brown to black colored beer with a small, dense beige head. The aroma is roasted and coffee-ish, with dark rye bread, hints of chocolate cake crust and vanilla. It's a bit thin on the palate, semi-sweet and with a rather low carbonation level. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate cake, vanilla, rye bread and some notes of bonfire in the flavor. Lasting finish. A pleasant and tasteful beer that lacks a bit on the body. 190518
3.5 Draft @ Brewdog Brussels.
3.5 Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and hints of wood, nuts and leather. Black with a tan head. Medium + sweet and medium butter. Medium + body with average carbonation. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Overall a very nice Porter. Well balanced flavour, but a bit thin mouthfeel.
4.3 Tap at Euston Tap, thin foam of head with a strong chocolate smell. Immediately be able to taste the sweet of Chocolate and with the strong bitterness of coffee afterwards. Really good balancing of flavor.
4.6 Utseende sort med brunt skum. Aroma vanilje sjokolade nøtter kaffe. Smak vanilje lakris sjokolade kaffe karamell. Kraftig, smaksrik, fyldig. Boks kjøpt på Vinmonopolet Jekta

3.4 Sampled at DØE København. High creamy lasting brown head. Pitch black body. Mild and sweet roasted malt coffee vanilla aroma and flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish. For some reason i felt it was a bit thinbodied.
4.4 330ml can. Pours jet black with brown dissipating head. Very inviting aroma of chocolate powder, milk coffee, vanilla, cocoa. Lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of vanilla, milk chocolate, mocha, roasted malts, some nuts. Some dark fruit and earthy notes as well. Mild bitterness in the finish. Overall definitely more sweet than bitter. Very rich and dangerously drinkable for the 6.5% ABV. Fantastic porter!

3.5 Can. Opaque black with a beige head. Smell of coffee, vanilla, molasses, tons of cocoa. Sweet, roasted, bitterish, milk chocolate, cocoa, toffee flavors. Medium -bodied, oily, smooth. Maybe a bit too sweet, but still quite nice.
3.7 The burst of flavour is strong enough as it is, yet it’s supported by a succession of subsequent bursts. It’s a tradition verandah that could have been cantilevered.
3.6 Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, vanilla, and chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.
3.4 330ml can bought at BrewDog Tower Hill. A tan-head over a jet black body. Dotted spots. Firm smell of vanilla and coffee. Similar taste profile of vanilla sweetness and coffee grounds. Roasted bitter ending. Quite pleasing. (Shared with Finn on the train from Paddington to Swansea 30.09.2018).
Svart. Middels høyt mokkafarget skum som daler veldig sakte. Aroma av vanilje & sjokolade. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken kaffe med hint av sjokolade & vanilje. Balansert. Dessertøl.
3.7 Bottle taken away from BrewDog Leicester, drunk at home. Dark purplish brown, opaque, with a small light brown head. Chocolate-covered espresso beans and tiny bits of liquorice and blackberry in the aroma. Sweet taste with a little bit of a earthy bitter kick nearer the finish. Plum and strong coffee in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. Pretty simple stuff, and very enjoyable indeed.
