4.2 Bottle, shared at THT Nov. '17, thanks kermis. Black color. Beige-brown head. Aroma's: sweet, fruitt, honey. Retronasal it's sweetish, honey, woody, boozy. Flavor is moderate sweet with big wood/tannine notes. Above medium bodied. Long finish, dry from the wood, with moderate bitterness. Ambit different from my previous Eclipse experiences, but still great!
4.1 Shared at the November THT. Pours black with a tan head. Honey, chocolate, woody, vanilla, flowery.
4.1 Bottle shared at THT November. Almost black with light brown head. Deep fudge and flowers on the nose. Vanilla, honey, soft roast, cocoa, light coffee notes, old wood. Very light flowery aroma, a bit thin on the malts but it all comes together nicely. Good sweetness with medium bitterness. Over medium bodied with slick feel. Very good, one of the better Eclipses I've had.

3.8 Tap at Imazato. Deep ruby brown with a sweet molasses and whiskey. Medium bodied, maybe a bit light. Smooth and silky with a boozy whiskey heat, oaky and sweet. Really good but I was hoping for a fuller body.

3.8 Tap at Imazato, rare one-off keg, 2015 in origin perhaps? Black pour with dark tan head. Sweet bourbon aroma, chocolate, coconut, a little barrel character. Flavour similar to nose, sweet notes of bourbon and choc, vanilla/coconut flourishes in sips every so often. Bit of fizz up front, slightly harsh on the backend, throat warmth. Decent.
3.8 Tap at Imazato. Pitch black with a low head. Nose is not so impressive, vanilla, chocolate, soy, bourbon. Rich chocolate and vanilla flavor, booze and very sweet, like chocolate marshmallows, berry, apples. Airy body like a marshmallow too. Good but too single-mindedly sweet. Probably would be much better in a year or 2.
4.0 Black pour, off white head. Roasty aroma is mellowed out by the bourbon, bringing vanilla and sweetness. The taste has chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and a nice sweet bourbon alcohol aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with soft carbonation.
3.9 65 cl bottle @ home (2014 vintage). Pours black with a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice, and tobacco - with a slightly bitter finish.
4.3 Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, soy sauce, whiskey, oak and graham cracker aroma and flavors. Full body and moderate carbonation with a dark chocolate, booze and roasted malt finish. 2016.
3.7 Pours a dark brown with a frothy, beige foam. Nose is sweet roasted grains with hints of dark chocolate, and dried fruits. Taste is on the sweet side with a nice bitter nip. Complex flavor profile: bitter cocoa, booze, oak, spice, anise, coffee. Very nice brew.
4.1 From a 22 oz. bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak and prunes. Flavors same. Smooth and tasty.
3.6 Bottle at Big Matt’s Eclipse tasting.Dark black pour with a light mocha head. Bittersweet chocolate malt, roasted, some brown sugar but slightly burnt, vanilla, wafers, mild carbonation and moderate+ body, sweeter and boozier with lots of bourbon and vanilla.
4.1 A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice fruity chocolate malt with light licorice, alcohol warmth, bourbon barrel, nice and smooth. In mouth, a beautiful sweet fruity chocolate malt with vanilla, coffee crisp, vanilla, alcohol warmth, dark fruits, complex and beautiful. Bottle at Big Matt’s Eclipse tasting.
3.9 Pours Pitch Black. Aroma of choko Vanilla, oak, Bourbon, roast, Brown sugar. Taste is rather sweet loads of barrel, quite thin Body for a imp.
4.3 Style et résumé: Imperial stout BA bourbon. Comment: Merci Patrick. Bouteille vintage 2014. J’adore. Note: 9/10
4.0 Vintage 2014.
4.3 Bottle, 2013. Pours opaque black, small brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is roast, cocoa, bourbon, hint of smoke, vanilla. FLavor is medium sweet, light bitter, bourbon, cocoa, roasty malts, vanilla. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. This is one of the good ones.
4.0 Negro opaco y espuma beis. Aromas de cacao, vainilla, bizcocho, licor. Cuerpo denso, sabor de chocolate, vainilla, final de amargor quemado y licoroso.
4.6 Dark brown, beige foam. Aroma is sweet, velvety, soft roast and vinous dark chocolate. Dark fruits and raisins in steroids. Taste is mind-blowing and full of mixed chocolate, bitter cocoa, barrel booze, bit of oak, spices, dark fruits, salty bacon, liquorice, coffee and so on, so on. Crazy good.
4.0 Poured into a wine glass showing pitch black with sparse latte foam. The nose shows a lot of smoke, oak barrel, notes of latte, and sweet hints of molasses. The palate is lightly carbonated and full bodied. The first impression shows a lot of buttery popcorn flavor with the same silky buttery mouth feel. Upon the second swig and warming up, a more vanilla forward flavor appears finished with smoked bourbon on the end.
4.2 Bomber @ FiftyFifty Charity Tasting: Vintage : Served in a taster: Black body with creamy tan lacing. Aroma is roast, bourbon, hair, brown sugars, light caramel, apples, earthy, molasses... Flavour is roasty, molasses, bourbon, light liquorice, some soy, light bitter, light brown sugary.. Aftertaste is bitters, roast, bourbon, caramel, molasses... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, close to full bodied.
4.4 2011 Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a brown head. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruit, molasses, and chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, dark fruit, and alcohol. Body is medium to heavy, with a lasting sweet finish. This one has aged really well.
4.5 65cl bottle (2014 vintage), served in Snifter. Pours black with nice tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, biscuit, bourbon, charred oak and dark fruits. Taste is similar, slightly different compared to the Woodford reserve version, which has more vanilla character and less smokiness. The bitter kick is more intense on this one. Creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation. The weak point is the price, the rest is awesome.
