4.2 2016 vintage. Aroma has coffee, cocoa and bourbon. Taste is clean cocoa, coffee and roasted malts. Really nice and smooth.
3.6 I think 2017 bottle, make sense given the coffee seemed a little green. Dark brown with dark mocha head. Roasted malts and dark chocolate, some green peppers and celery, cherry, booze well hidden, light espresso grinds and stronger coffee notes.
4.1 65 cl bottle (11% abv) @ ISKTR18. 2016 vintage. Pours dark brown color with a small beige head. Nice toasted malty aroma with chocolate and cocoa, some faint coffee, subtle hop notes, licorice, some bitterness, spices, coffee, honey is very faint, subtle sugary tones on the finish. Lovely. 4426
3.9 65 cl bottle @ ISKTR’18 JC/2 2016 Aroma is somewhat mild with some coffee. Flavour has coffee, some alcohol and salt licorice. A tad too salty. A nice slow sipper but not worth the price. Too I suppose this has been the case with all the FiftyFiftys I’ve had.
3.8 Sample from the bottle at Kangasalan Kasarmi. Thanks to Vesku! Vintage 2016. Aromas and flavors: Coffee, cacao and roasted malts. Soft and enjoyable.
4.0 Tap at Brew By Numbers Bermondsey, as "FiftyFifty Eclipse - Coffee 2017". Black color with beige head. Aroma is aromatic coffee roast. Taste is coffee, green peppers, black chocolate, nutty. Thick mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Very good!
3.6 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head. Aroma of coffee with light green peppers notes with some roasted/black chocolate malt notes. Taste is also dominated by coffee notes with lightly bitter roasted malt with some chocolate malt notes and light green peppers notes which are more or less pleasant. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable but I could have done with less green pepper notes.
3.9 Draft at the FiftyFifty Brewing Co, Truckee, CA. Enjoyed on May 10 2018. Black color with a small creamy dark tan head. Raw coffee (or chili) and roasted malt aroma. The flavor is more filter coffee... not my favorite. Sweetness, alcohol, roast and coffee.
4.2 Apparence : Noire, légère carbonatation, faible col brun.
4.1 On tap at Capone's Poured a black color with brown edges and a small sized tan head. Roast, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and some earth.
4.1 Bottle pours dark brown with a one finger tan head. Sick and disgusting aroma (in a good way), loads of intense cold brew coffee, oak, bourbon, molasses, chocolate. Flavor is a bit sweet, but the coffee notes in this one are disgusting (in the good sense again). Sugar, maple, chocolate back it up. Medium bitterness. Medium-full body, fairly drinkable all things considered. Listen guy, Eclipse is like Poindexter McNerdface from your high school calculus class - a guaranteed 4.0, maybe higher depending how many AP (adjunct prodigiousness?) classes he took, and headed off to MIT (made in Truckee?) when you took the road less traveled, accepting Maris Otter of the House Barleywine as your Lord and Savior. That's ok, chief, it's worked out well for you and me both. Long story short, Eclipse fucks.
3.9 Draft at Cinder. Top of a keg. Pitch black. Thick khaki head. Thick creamy body. Coffee focused but not overly so. Dark cocoa with marshmallows. Some liquorice, almond, vanilla, and treacle. The creaminess mediates with the booziness.
4.2 Waxed bomber from Tavour, 2017 bottle. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, licorice, booze, wood, vanilla, coconut, raisin, earth. Pours black with a one finger tan head that falls into a skiff of foam after a minute. Taste is sweet, finishing with a light bitterness and a tad tart; flavors match the aroma with coconut and vanilla standing out in particular. Tastes better than it smells, not that it smells bad by any means. Body isn't as full and velvety as the best examples of the style. Really nice overall, though. Not quite up there with the best but it's definitely tasty.
4.1 Bottle sample. Bitch black with a brief, brown head. Roasted coffee, liquorice, leather, tobacco and vanilla. Intense sipper.

4.2 Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17 650 ml bottle, 2015 vintage, shared by Sander, thanks! Black body, with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee beans, espresso, cocoa, dark chocolate, some dark fruits. Tastes lovely, with similar, with some more tobacco, liquorice. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes roasty, moderate bitter, a bit sweet, a bit wooden, with lots of smooth coffee again, some honey, some ash, some liquorice Very tasty. Lovely smooth coffee throughout, which is quite dominant, but perfectly integrated. Drinks really smooth, alcohol isn't noticeable. Great, very smooth Coffee Stout.
3.7 Bottled: Pours black with a dense head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, nougat and honey. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, hazel, chocolate and honey leading to a dry, somewhat harsh coffee finish.

3.8 Bottle @Christmas Tasting 30.07.2017. Pours black, tan head. Nose is massive coffee, not a lot else going on. The taste is again huge coffee.
4.0 Bottle from the dregs run. Pours black with a thin tan head. Strong coffee and chocolate aromas, more of the chocolate liqueurs vibe. More coffee on the taste, but quite well-integrated with the impy stout, not dominating. Best of the three today for me.
