4.6 Bomber, bottle from swedish store Systembolaget. 2015 version. Dark black color with beige foam, nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of fudge, raisins, muscovado sugar, a bit of soy, licquorice, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, Mmm wonderful aroma. Pretty light body, expected a bit more thickness. Very balanced and developing taste, sweet and dark fruity sourness, umami and bitterness evolving over time. Luxury beer.

3.9 From a bomber. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate with a bit of bourbon. Flavors are sweet and boozy. Not their best but very good.
Smak: len! Choklad, vaniljfudge, lätt av whiskey, lite lite lakrits, honung, lagom sötma, välbalanserad! Oljig, lite coca-cola, elegant, mycket trevlig!!
4.2 2012 vintage picked up at the Great British Beer Festival. Pours opaque black with dark brown edges, tan head which is completely gone in a few seconds. Nose is fruity, with lots of the bourbon notes coming through, dark fruits, raisin, fig, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, roasted malt. Taste is dark chocolate, raisin, sultana, fig, vanilla, slight coffee. Delicious.
4.4 Bottle 2014 vintage. Initial taste of cherries, licorice, Belgian chocolate and coco nibs. A bit of mulling spices added in. the alcohol plays with the malts in a wonderful way, the barrel in this is quite exquisite in that it also plays right along, great sipper!
4.0 Bottle @ company tasting. 2013 edition. Pitch black body with a small, dense brown head. Strong, intense, very nice aroma of dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, dry fruit and alcohol. Flavor is sweet dark malt, dry fruit, coffee, chocolate, balanced bitterness and a bit boozy Bourbon in a nice way. Full bodied and very long lasting, strong aftertaste. Very nice, not exactly what I will call balanced, but still very nice in a big, bold way.
4.2 Backlog entry. 22 ounce bottle pours out black topped with a brown head. Nose is dark chocolate plenty of bourbon notes some coconut brown sugar booze. Tastes as more of the roast malts some coffee molasses Bourbon Barrel chocolate vanilla.
4.0 2012 bottle. Pours deep mahogany-tinged brown into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Vanilla and bourbon aromas. Sweet hot chocolate and vanilla upfront turning to warming bourbon and bitter earth in the lasting finish.
4.1 Sampled this one several times. Most of them were shared by Bacterial. Pours and opaque and syrupy near black colored brew with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind a film top and beige ring. Aroma of Baker’s chocolate, bourbon, a hint of blackstrap molasses, soy and sweet licorice. Taste is full bodied, lots of bourbon and dark chocolate flavors. Finish is thick and chewy with a strong alcohol presence with bourbon and dark chocolate. Yum.
4.1 Bottle shared by Matt, guessing it was this years. Poured a deep olive brown with a tan head. Sweet chocolate and a fair waft of bourbon on the nose. Nice deep toasty flavour with bourbon barrel notes, good balance of rich malts and choc and bourbon sweetness. Smooth drinking, full body, with a little warmth. Very nice.
4.1 2015 bottle thanks to Mike. Pours black with a thin tan head. coconut, strong oak and cocoa nibs nose and flavor. Medium thick mouthfeel average carbonation. Slight alcohol flavor on the backend
3.8 Bottle pour at The Sycamore. Chocolate syrup aroma, thick sweet malt. Flavor is semisweet chocolate, a slightly solventy booziness, and a bitter finish.
3.9 At Sycamore, vintage 2014. Lots of bourbon indeed, quite boozy, but less than others. Strongly boozy, still sweet, lots of barrel. Warmer on the palate than the others I’ve tried. More of a sipper. Good, but not my favourite.
4.3 650ml bottle @ Jonny’s 2016 Eclipse Tasting. Pours a mostly opaque black brown colour with a thin tan head. Nose is a lovely bouquet of sweet bourbon, molasses, and caramel. Flavour is honey, molasses, bourbon, wood, and a finishing heat. Thus far this is my most enjoyable.
4.4 2017-01-03. 650ml bottle from The Gull. Vintage 2015. Pours a dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, some bourbon, leather and boozy notes. 3.6 Decent fifty fifty barreling. Rich taste, classical barrel ageing. But a sipper. Black with some head. Some decent aroma.
4.2 Huuuggge. The sweetness that is EC keeps the rasty notes of the stout in check. Really balances out and the thick body just allows the flavours to hit in waves.
4.2 Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, medicine. Appearance is brownish black with a thin chocolate head. Sticky spots of lacing. Taste is cocoa, vanilla, caramel, bourbon, coffee, oak tannin, cough syrup (minimal). Palate is thick and coats the mouth nicely. Sweet upfront with a balanced back palate bitterness and astringency. Overall- Fantastic, certainly one of the best tasting and balanced Imperial stouts.
3.9 22 oz bottle from Hoboken Vine. BR 1 2015. Purple wax. Dark brown in color with a frothy light brown head. Drippy lacing on the glass. Heavy barrel and bourbon on the aroma. Dark roast. Licorice and vanilla. Taste is more on the dry, roasty side up-front, sliding nicely into a slightly sweeter closing. Nice full bodied, roasty mouthfeel. Pretty drinkable for a beer this high in ABV, but definitely meant to be a sipper.
3.9 22 oz bottle at the ISKTR 2016, Hervanta, Finland. BR 1/2014. Thanks Timo A! Black color with a small creamy tan head. Sweetness, malt and whiskey in the aroma. Sweet whiskey and sweet malt in the flavor. Warms. Smooth as silk. Full and rich. I’m still not convinced it’s worth 38 eur. Well, let’s celebrate Timo’s 50 years!
3.6 @ISKTR 2016. Bottle run no. BR 1/2014. Mustanruskea, niukka reunoille vetäytyvä kahvivaahto. Tuhti tuima tuoksu, suklaatakin? , suutuntuma suussasulava kahvi, alkoholi yltyy suussa viipyessään, lakritsaa, kurkussa polttavaa alkoholia, perus nektaria. Miellyttävä kokonaisuus, vaan itse kaipaisin enemmän hapokkuutta ja yläpäätä. Sangen nautittava kuitenkin.
4.0 651 ml bottle @ ISKTR 2016. 2014 vintage, purple wax. Br. 01/2014. Pours black color with a small beige head. Roasted malts on the aroma, bourbon, wooden notes, caramel, dark chocolate and cocoa. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and oaky with some bourbon, wood, vanilla, hints of buttery notes and coffee. Finish is smooth, slightly roasty and oaky with some bourbon, wood, vanilla, butter and coffee. Pretty good.
4.0 65,1 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16 BR 1 2014, purple wax Aroma is sweet and very "American". Fruitiness, licorice and vanilla. Feels already sticky even though I have not tasted yet. Flavour has alcohol, licorice, sweet vanilla tones and wood. Alcohol balances the sweetness here. A slow sipper. Wait, no, THE slow sipper.
4.0 Bottle. Pours black. Aroma and taste are roasted malts, bourbon, and chocolate.
