Finch Hardcore Chimera

Finch Hardcore Chimera

An American style imperial IPA brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Columbus, Cascade and Mosaic hops. Hardcore Chimera is then dry hopped with over a pound of hops per BBL. Ringing in with over 80 IBU’s, Hardcore Chimera’s intense aroma and flavor of passion fruit and citrus is balanced out against a hearty grain bill that lends to the beer’s deceptively drinkable 9% ABV.

1.8 Shared can at local tasting, ABV 9%. Cloudy golden colour, white head. Aroma of stale orange marmalade and grain. The flavour is fairly sweet, very bitter and unbalanced. Not something I would buy again.
2.2 Shared can at RBHD. Pours hazy Golden, small white head. Aroma of dusty grains, bready rotting dough, taste is moderate sweet, marmelade, harsh dry finish.
