West Side Beavo is a one-off collaboration by brewmasters Logan Plant and Matt Brynildson, inspired by a friendship forged at the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest. “Logan has been to the fest several times, and we’ve been talking about doing a collaboration for a few years now,” said Brynildson, Firestone Walker’s brewmaster. “We’ve both been itching to do our own IPLs, so we thought it would be a perfect style to explore together.”

3.96.5%ABV. IPA.
Poured out clear gold. 6ºSRM.
Nose has ripe pineapple, orange blossoms, mandarin peel, fresh spruce, fresh lychee.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has graham crackers, animal crackers, barley toast. Hop flavors are cilantro and hyssop on the front, then lemon zest and grapefruit peel, sap, grass, light bitter melon. (Makes me wonder if the Citra hop is profiled here).
Finish is medium with bitter melon flavor at the end.
Overall a full-bodied, hop-forward IPA, with a clean light mouthfeel. Good and well-executed.
3.3Can (355 ml) from Systembolaget. Clear golden, medium white head. Bready malt, piney and eprfumy head. Dry to semi dry, medium bitterness.

3.6Canned, 330 ml, courtesy of Max. Shared with JFK10000 and Sandi. Pours clear golden, white head. Nice light hoppiness, grassy, some fruit, malty, bit grainy, light bitter finish. Quite clean, nice.
3.6355ml can poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is pale golden with a large frothy airy beige head that settled quickly. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, lemon zest and a hint of caramel. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Overall a great beer, maybe just slightly too sweet.
3.4Bread, grain, citrusy, lemony, golden with a good head, light body, average carbonation, again citrusy notes, more fruity, some tropical hints...not very intense but decent.
3.1Can. 6.5%. Best before 16.06.18. Pours a slightly hazy, pale yellow, with a diminishing white head. Slight lacing. Mild aroma. Light hops, cereals, hay. Spicy and seaweed (!) hints, but disappearing as it warms, and replaced by a light fat note and funky hops as it warms. Flavour is cereals, light bread. Remote hops at first, but increasing as it warms, though still not very distinct. Hoppy finish though, mildly bitter, and a bit dry. Light alcohol note lingering. Overall okay, fairly well-balanced. Could use a bit more outspoken hops though. 09.12.17.
3.4Can. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy grassy hoppy aroma. Fruity malty grainy grassy citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy grassy finish.
3.2355 ml can. Canned on 16.06.2017.
Pours clear pale golden color with a large white head. Hoppy aroma, caramel notes, orange peel and some faint grassy notes. Flavor is grassy bitter, some orange, subtle toffee tones. Okay, slightly out-dated though.

Clear pale blonde beer, big irregular white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, orange peel, grapefruit, passion fruit, bit resinous, citrus notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sweet and malty up front, fruity notes, nice bitterness, bit floral, grains. Aftertaste: very bitter, bit resinous, sweet touch, fruity, orange peel, some passion fruit.
3.4Pours golden, decent sized head and massive lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and hops. Taste has an incredibly resinous pine aftertaste which dominates everything; there's some subtle orange, mango and grapefruit in there. It's nice, but unremarkable in the congested IPA market.

4.0Incredibly good fruity fragrance. Celestial good taste of sweetness, fruity and a little bloom. Really good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Good beer but losing tastes towards the end. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

3.9Pours bright clear golden. Aroma is hoppy, malty, balanced. Taste is balanced, malty, with a nice hop bitterness.
3.7Appearance- clear, golden and effervescent, a clingy solid white head. Aroma- sweet malt, hint of yeast, spicy notes, hints of orange and candied fruit. Taste- cereal malt, bitter hops, citrus fruit, spices, fluffy mouthfeel. Nice, a bit like a Tripel mixed with a lager.
3.7355ml can. Pours a pale and clear yellow gold with a white head. Aroma: malt, grass, citrus, floral notes. Very pleasant aroma. Taste: biscuity malt, pine, floral and mild citrus flavours. Mild spiciness on the back end of the palate. Thin bodied. Moderate to high carbonation. Moderate to high lingering bitterness. Complex flavour palate. Very easy to drink and very tasty. This beer hides its alcohol well. This is one of the best lagers I have had. I just wish this was a permanent release not a limited release!

3.4Can from Beer Necessities, Bristol. Clear golden pour with minimal white head. Clean hoppy aromas. Light malt flavours, light citrus, light hoppy notes. Refreshing if not a little boring.
3.9Can from Systembolaget, Stockholm. Pours crystal clear golden. Abundant foam there, stays for a while. Hoppy nose, would think that there are some noble hops with measured hoppiness but also something more grassy and actually this is flying higher. Taste is nicely balanced hoppy lager, fresh and light. Superbly balanced, really sessionable.
3.5Clear light golden color. Very clean hoppy nose, fairly aromatic and heady. Medium full body. Modestly aggressive bitterness. Clean dry palate. Nice, well made,
