Firestone Walker Easy Jack

Firestone Walker Easy Jack

Brewmaster Matt Brynildson went to the mountain and returned with a vision for a different kind of Session IPA, one that would be brewed and dry hopped with a globetrotting selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America. He foresaw a beer that would deliver massive hop aromas, a signature malt balance and an empty glass before you knew what hit you. And so the newest member of our Jack IPA family was born.

3.7 Tender yet saturate aroma of honey, flowers and green tee. Taste of malt, hints of grass, tee and citrus. Light and drinkable beer. Very good SIPA representative
3.3 In der Nase fruchtig wie ein „großes“ IPA, Ananas, hopfig. Im Trunk etwas zurückhaltend aber dennoch hopfig, bitter, leicht harzig, Frucht immer schön dabei, läuft halt bei Firestone.
3.0 0.33l bottle from Goblet ZG, thanks Hrabren! BB 06 05 2020. Golden, clear body pierced by a bunch of floaties (eh?). Malty notes mixing with sweet white wine notes from the hoppiness, odd sharp oxidation note. Lean, light taste, ice tea, a bit flat and slightly oxidized. Can see this being nice fresh, however 3-4 months before the BB date, this is pretty much unacceptable, sad to say.
3.0 0.33 l bottle from and at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Clear Pale golden, small off-white head. Sparkling. Lightly hoppy, slightly grassy, fruity, apricot, apple. High carbonation. Very thin. Flavour is lightly grassy, lightly fruity, very light bitterness. Not old but not very fresh?
2.9 Tap at taphouse Munich. Clear golden, eggshell solid foam. fruity cheesecake aroma, medium light body, metallic tropical, old hops, dry pine, not in the best state I fear.
3.9 Light refreshing with yeast and pine. Crisp bitter finish. Very drinkable.
3.2 Very hoppy
3.4 Tap @Yard Bar Bangkok. Golden colour not completely clear, high whitehead. Aroma of tropical fruits and some floral. Taste yeasty, apricot, passionfruit, soft piney finish. Mouthfeel is yeasty tecture to me. Light body.
3.3 Bottle, 0.355l. Hazy orange pour, no head. Very thin soapy layer leaving no lacing on the glass. Average on the nose, herbal notes and grassy hops. Seems not to be as fresh as it's supposed to be. Oh well. Thin body, medium to high carbonation. Quite prickly, very fizzy mouthfeel. Light texture, a bit on the watery side but that's pretty much expected given the low ABV. Mostly bitter taste, sadly a bit off balance. Like suspected, not the freshest sample. Unlike Union Jack this one hasn't completely degraded yet. Aroma of caramel malt, grassy hops, herbs and spices. Citruses in the background. Lingering harsh bitterness with off-placed malty background. Drinkable but I'll definitely re-rate it when opportunity presents itself.
3.2 Tap at Sandinista, Manchester. Golden colour with head and lacing. Slight faded floral and fruity hop notes. Strong body. Impressive for the low strength.
3.0 35.5 cl can (BBD 2019-10-22), bought from Trevs Bar (DH1 3LN) and drunk at home on 2019-12-14. Appearance is a clear deep gold with a thick irregular white head that dissipates gradually. Looks like an IPA to me. Classic American hop notes - pine, some tropical fruit and maybe a hint of blossom? So West Coast it [insert West Coast America stereotype here]. Taste is a little disappointing. Honey and a hint of orange with some bitterness from the hops coming through at the end. Much sweeter than I like my IPAs. Palate is bang average. Just fuller than light bodied, a tiny amount of carbonation in the mouth and a short but nicely sharp finish. Overall, this is a fine west coast IPA, but it does absolutely nothing special. Perfect for a session, a bit dull the rest of the time.
3.1 Copenhagen 13/12 2019. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Gymnasievej, Køge. Yellow can with a lion and a bear about to initiate a boxing match on the can. Pours unclear, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense, floral and with a considerable citric intensity. Caramel, toffee. Hints of peach and Papaya. Dry floral presence. Medium strong notes of Grape fruit and citrus. Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively texture. Flavor is quite on the thin side. Light sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter and fairly short. Semi-dry finish. A bit thin in the flavor but a fine nose and appropiate palate.
4.5 Great low ABV IPA. Full of flavor. Much better then Founders All Day IPA.
3.5 Can, thin head, light palate, mediocre hop aroma
3.9 (19/11/19) Half pint on tap at The Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London. Almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, melon, tropical fruit, grass. Taste of melon, tangerine, tropical fruit, pine. Mild to medium body. Very tasty. Would I drink it again? Absolutely.
3.6 Light citrusy nose with a touch of stone fruit. Lightish body with a delicate hop flavor. Well balanced. Finish bitter, perhaps a touch on the harsh side. Very drinkable with depth of flavor appropriate for a 4% beer.
3.2 Bottled 355ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, light peachy grassy nose. Grassy, light bready, touch of peach and weak citrus with bitter finish.
3.5 Can from Voldby. It pours mostly clear golden with a creamy white head. The aroma is peach, light spice, citrus and crunchy malts. The flavor is moderate bitter and moderate sweet.
3.5 24 ounce, canned sometime in August of 2019. Clear, golden with a huge head settling slowly to a cottony spit of foam. Aroma of tangerine, pale malt, lemon, pineapple, orange and a touch of evergreen resin. Flavor is the same mix, but washed out in comparison to the nose. Too soft, light body has smooth low-medium carbonation and a decent balance.
4.2 Can from Total Wine and More in Reston, VA Aroma: caramel, citrus, earthy, bread Appearance: clear golden with a white head Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness Mouthfeel: average carbonation, medium body, slick feel, long finish Tasty
3.3 Klassisk tallbarrsdoft med lite citrus. Samma följer i smaken, lite lätt på maltsidan. Klar, ser ut som en pilsner. Måttlig beska avslutar.
3.7 Can. A slightly orange tinted brass colored body with a thin bright white head. Nose of herbal goodness and some citrus. There is also some flower character. The taste has some strong grapefruit rind and bread crust. The finish is a little spicy. The body is heavy feeling in the mouth. The finish is strong with the citrus rind. Well done.
3.1 Mild hop and pale malt aromas. Fairly dry with mild bitterness in the Finish. Slightly thin body and strong carbonation. I don't see what the big deal is with this beer.
1.1 On tap at Phil’s Burgers, Uppsala, Sweden. Aroma foul chemicals. Appearance pale gold with little head. Taste poor, grassy. Palate medium carbonation with medium bubbles. Finish ok. Overall the strong chemical aroma ruins it.
3.2 Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus and citra hops. Taste has lightly hopped floral notes. Palate has lemongrass and more floral notes. Very refreshing.
4.0 Can pours a clear brite golden color with a fluffy white head that hangs around leaving spots of lace on glass. Smells of citrus/tropical fruit, grain, floral hops and a whiff of some sort of spice. Taste of lemon, mango, passion fruit , white bread, orange peel, grass & gummy candy. Light body, tingly carbonation, soft mouthfeel and a mildly bitter, semi-sweet finish. This beer is super easy to drink. The flavors and aromas are so mellow that it’s not over powering. Not overly sweet or bitter just the perfect balance. Baby bear would love this! Ridiculously Crushable! Like ur high school sweetheart! LoL!!
4.0 Came in a variety pack purchased from a Walmart. Thick white head on top of a nearly clear pale golden body. While I know I'm smelling the Hobbs, no distinct Aroma comes to mind. While the beer has a good taste with Mild flavors, it's hardly an IPA at all. That's probably why I like it because it's the least IPA of any IPA I've ever had worthwhile as an introductory IPA to the uninitiated
2.7 Mild and ladylike.
3.5 Can. Clear gold with a white head. Citrus hop aroma. Light crisp bitterness. A bit thin but expected for the ABV
