Pale 31 is an ode to our home state of California—the 31st to be named in fact. Beer may not be associated with terroir the way wine is, but we believe that where we’re from impacts how our beers taste. This California Style Pale Ale represents the bold yet approachable spirit that embodies our state. A crisp floral hop aroma precedes a medium-body and clean finish.

3.6Pours an ever so slightly hazy golden colour with minimal head retention after a minute or so. Aromas are big floral and citrus New World Hops, big piney hop hit. Taste has some fruitiness and caramel notes but is dominated by quite an assertive piney hop bitterness. A beer full of flavour but lacks a bit of balance from malt sweetness for my taste.
3.0From beer52 had at home 355ml bottle. very nice pale ale.
4.3Bready malts present in the body with a toasty finish. Great beer by Firestone.
3.6Wygląd: Barwa blado złota z drobnopęcherzykową pianą złamanej bieli, początkowo lekko wychodzącą z butelki opada do kożucha pozostawiając lacing.
Aromat: Cytrusy w szczególności cytryna, zest cytryny, pomarańcz, mandarynka, min. słodki grejpfrut z owocami tropikalnymi (słodkimi) jak mango, brzoskwinia; multiwitamina. Delikatna słodowość chlebowa. Trochę żywicy, lasu i iglaków.
Smak: Cytrusy i owoce tropikalne podobnie jak w aromacie, lekko kwiatowe, trochę lasu i żywicy, niewielka ilość słodowej chlebowości i nuta karmelu.
Bottle on 22.11.16
3.5Hoppy, crisp and lively carbonated. Bitterness overpowers the pale malt sweetness. Quite average.
2.9Distinctly average. Nice and easy to drink session IPA, even quite refreshing. But everything is dialled down. Weak hop aroma and flavour, thin head and only a little citrus flavour.
3.1Drank if room temperature so that could have effected it. But I also hate typing these terrible 75 character explanations on why I like a beer. I like it I like it.
3.6Si presenta oro limpida con schiuma. Bianca frizzantina. La naso taboo luppolo buon aroma erbaceo. Al palato amaro deciso e prominente, con ingresso netto e luppolo erbaceo che continua lungo. Note di the, resinosa. Corpo medio. Molto carbonata. Apa molto luppolata.
3.4A simple beer, but deeply satisfying. Bottle from Beer 52. Crystal clear with white froth. Nose is hoppy, resinous, perhaps a little lemony. Taste is dry and bitter and straw-like grain or malt. Palate is clean-ish with just a touch of stickiness, and very dry to finish.
2.7Bottle. Afterwork at Krubb. To hoppy for beeing an APA in my opinion.Ok beer but nothing special to it.
3.5can - clear golden color. Decent hop aroma. Nice hop flavor. A good pale ale.
3.4Bottle from Rudat. Fresh smooth bitter beginning. Intense, bitter smooth. Nice bitter earthy finish, deep and floral. Nice.
3.3Piwo złote, klarowne. Pian z poczatku wysoka wysoka, szybko redukuje się do koronki, ładnie lepi szkło. W aromacie trawa, las, miód, karmel. W smaku ziołowa goryczka, trwała, zelegająca. Średnia pełnia. Niskie wysycenie.
3.7Bright gold. Not much head. Nice biscuity pale malts, bitter, mellow herbal hop. Tasty, balanced, quality apa.
3.712 fl oz can. Pours a clear pale golden hue with an off-white head. Resinous aromas with underlying peach, green tea, and faint burnt sugar. Taste wise, lots of grapefruit, passion fruit, orange zest, light resinous notes and light caramel that lead into mineral notes, light malt, papaya, and citrus pith bitterness. This is a top notch -5%er.
3.712 ounce bottle poured to tulip glass
Sight:deep amber liquid, minimal tan foam, clear
Smell: good, malty aroma 4.00 Taste: medium bitterness
mouthfeel: lively carbonation with good follow through, long finish
Overall: very good beer, ok to repeat, not look for
3.8Pours clear golden, white foam on top at first, leaves some lacing, coming down overall. Fresh fruity zesty hop nose, getting some oranges, other tropical fruits. Feels very fresh. Taste is clean, citrus and lemon peels in taste, bit resiny. Tastes actually more like session IPA, which it basically is. Nice long bitter linger, good balance and dry, drinkable clean beer.
3.3355mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars. Bottle 04/03/17
Pale gold beer, dense white foam.
Reasonable nose - honeyed, pale caramel malts, orange peel & pine sap hop, touch of grass.
Medium body, some texture to chew on, drops away a touch on the finish.
Flavour is probably a bit less intense than I was hoping - citrus & pine in a slight measure, more malty than anything, bitterness a touch restrained.
Maybe I should be looking for a fresher beer? Very approachable overall, but lacking on the finish.
3.8355ml bottle. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Grapefruit dominatin, followed by some caramel, bread and minerals. Uncomplicated, straight forward well made.
3.4355ml bottle. Clear golden with a small white head. Malty, citrus and floral.
3.3330ml bottle. Pours clear golden with medium white head.Aroma of hops, tropical fruits, zest, malt. Medium to light body, soft carbonation. Taste is light sweet, light to medium bitter.

4.0Compruebo que no está muy fresca. Aún así floral en nariz. Ligera y bien carbonatada. Hierba y algo de malta en boca. Ligeramente amarga. Regusto duradero. Canned 07/09/2017
3.4Poured from 355mL bottle (02/20/2017). Clear golden yellow with full white head. Grassy hops with mild citrus and pine hops, subtle caramel malt. Light-ish body, simple.
3.3Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a shaker. Golden color and slightly hazy with a white head. Light citrus aroma. Rather light body and slight bitter. No lacing in the glass at all. Simple, but refreshing.
3.2Keg @ Purity Bar & Kitchen, Birmingham. Golden with a small head. Has a dry pale ale texture, some fruitiness, is crisp and light tasting.
4.2Medium bodied. Taste pineapple/ citrus/ floral. Aromas are on par with taste. Really solid easy to find beer.
3.635.5cl bottle. hazy golden color. small white head. hops, malt, citrus, orange, pineapple, floral notes. low to medium bitterness. medium carbonation.
3.2Pale copper colour. Big bubbly head. Aroma is whiskey and malt. Taste is much of the same.
3.1Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 35.5 cl - Batch unknown (BBF unknown - Bottle on 22/11/2016). AROMA: predominant medium oxidized hop aroma with notes of dried grass. medium-low to low resiny notes as well a bit of tropical fruit (pineapple). medium-low malt notes with a caramel-like component. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. medium white head with medium retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a medium-low hop note (piny and resin), as well oxidized hops (slight dried tea leaves). medium-low malty background (slightly sweet) with an almost neutral character. medium-high bitterness with a bitter and semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an American Pale Ale that starts to show some signs of oxidation.
