Firestone Walker Pivo Hoppy Pils

Firestone Walker Pivo Hoppy Pils

Everything we love about classic German Pilsner with a hoppy Bohemian twist. Pils is a bright straw colored lager beer with playful carbonation topped with beautiful white foam lace. Delicate lightly toasted malt flavors underscore noble German hop character. Hallertau-grown Magnum hops deliver the lupulin foundation while generous amounts of Spalter Select hops bring floral aromatic and spicy herbal notes. As a twist on the traditional Pils, we dry hop with German Saphir for a touch of bergamot zest and lemongrass. A refreshing, light-bodied and hop-driven Pils.

3.8 Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Bottled 10/05/18, so almost one year old. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma of good grassy and citrus hops, floral as well. Taste is crisp noble hops, hay, grass and citrus, well balanced and dry pilsner
4.1 Pivo Hoppy Pils pours a hazy golden color. The nose is as noble as can be with earthy and floral notes as well as a citric twist from the hops against a bready malt backdrop. The clean pils malt attack is followed by the hop profile with a hint of pine before the snappy, dry, and bitter finish with a mild heat kicks in. This brew manages to be complex without compromising the clarity, crispness, and snappiness that are hallmarks of a great pils. Very pleasant.
4.1 12 oz bottle from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Finally a faithfull copy of Czech lagers. Nothing more - nothing less.
3.2 Can drunk at home. Clear golden appearance. Aroma is herbal, malt and grassy. Flavour is bitter, zesty, hoppy and herbal.
3.8 This bottle is coming from Heinrich 3000, Kornwestheim. Drinking relax, at home, in Epalinges. The kind of pils that I particulary like, simple but it is a good and aromatic one. The color is yellow and gold, transparent, normal carbonation, thin and white foam. The taste is coming from the Bavarian school, ein Bretzel bitte!!! Dry malt, aromatic and probably saaz hop for the pils, good and pleasant bitterness, so refreshing, it could be the paradis during this heat, it was also good during the spring.
4.0 Lemon and light malt aroma. Hoppy taste with lemon standing out and a nice bitterness and the crispness you always want from a lager. This is about as good as a pilsner gets
2.9 Golden, clear with a medium white head. Aroma of malt and straw. Medium bitter with a dry malt and straw end.
3.6 Fluffy white head stayed on highly carbonated translucent pale golden body. Zest, lemon, pith & yeast aroma. Medium bodied, airy & bubbly over the tongue with a sharp dry back. Crisp tastes of grass, pith, hops, faint yeast, & pith.
3.7 0,33l bottle. Pours near clear straw with white head. Aroma of grassy hops, lemon, slightly fruity, smells like a good pilsner. Taste is fresh, lemon, fruity, german yeast (banana). I can't imagine the pilsner style is going to get any better than this.
3.5 12oz bottle from TW. Hazy gold with a thin off-white cap. Lemon, pale malt, grassy hops, honey. Fizzy carb, medium body. Crisp, lemony finish. Refreshing with a nice dose of hops.

3.1 Bottle at the Bellagio, Las Vegas, NV. Clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Fair lacing. The taste is a good representation of a true pilsner. Very crisp with a light bitter finish. A little more bitter than I prefer but still good.

3.5 From bottle (btld May'18) in footed pilsner. Pours clear gold w/thin white head, although its a bit long in the tooth still has pleasant floral/herbal notes. Taste has a touch of honey, zesty hop finish has restrained bitterness
2.6 July 25th, 2015 - The Firestone PIVO is an odd bird, distinct from aroma to flavor. On the nose it has a clear, crisp hop note, but also something that reminds me of a shandy. That is, a light lemon or lemonade type aroma. But the flavor is dry and crisp. Not bitter, mind you, but crisp like a cracker, or worse for the flavor, somewhat papery. It's so-so because it's not acrid like a cheap pale lager but that paper off-flavor becomes more noticeable as I progress through the pint.
3.4 Straw color, white head. Light malty nose, hay, mild yeast, earthy hops. Light fruity yeast taste, light malty, crisp, moderate bitterness, balanced. Medium to light body, average carbonation. 6, 3, 7, 4, 14
4.2 B. Clear golden, full of flavor for a pils
3.4 Bottle@home, from Alko webshop. Medium, slightly bitter nuances of light golden malts, some grass, German hops. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with malts. Light body with medium carbonation. Overall, great refreshing pils with a bit more hoppy profile. 7 3 7 3 14
3.6 Pours very hazy orange drink orange with a fast fading white head. Aroma is toasted malts with a touch of lemon sweetness. Taste is classic pils with a nicely integrated and discernable noble hop-enhanced bitterness. Especially at the backend/aftertaste. Moderate carbonation. Crisp. A classic pils for a hophead. Excellent.
3.4 Had the opportunity to try this together with a Brutal Brewing Cirrus lager. Then I understood (again) how bad a beer like that is, and how good a nice crisp pilsner can be (this one). This one was herbal, floral, mild citric and malty. Crisp and a balanced bitterness Complete perfect pils. [On tap at Stockyard Burger Joint in Gothenburg, Sweden]
3.5 Almost clear light golden color with white head. Aroma is clean, malty with a light hop character. Taste follows, clean, crisp with a nice bitterness on the finish.
3.5 Pours up a clear light yellow color, with a large frothy white head. Aroma is grain, some grass, flowers and citrus. Taste is grains, mild grass, aromatic flowers.Good all around pilsener.
2.9 8Sep2018 Sweet grain and cereal malts, caramel, bread, floral notes, wet straw. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Medium bitter. More bitter grass, wet straw, bitter grain and cereal malts, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright. Keg at BeaverEx18 - Saturday session, Canada Water.
3.4 (Disclaimer this being bottled in January) clear golden yellow beer with smallish head on top. Aroma has intense bitter grassy and floral hop notes, like really in there. Some malty backbone sweetness comes through but barely. Taste is malty and quite nice for a pils but then grass wave of bitterness sweeps you off your feet. Well, maybe exaggerated but anyway. Medium body and medium carbonation. Maybe fresh one is totally different, but I still quite liked this.
