An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

3.8Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA 7.0%. Amber, pine and resin aroma, full bodied, caramel malt, stewed citrus fruit, spices, complex flavours. Gorgeous West Coast IPA from Paso Robles, California 🇺🇸
3.4Ljusgul med tunt vitt skum. Doftar fruktigt, lite citrus. Smaken fyllig, lite söt och besk. Eftersmaken lång med markant beska. (C19+)
4.0Never rated this?! A classic for a reason. Aroma is malt, resin, pine, herbal hops. Medium body. Flavour is strong malt, herbal hops, lots of pine, resin. Bitter. Grapefruit. A classic west coast IPA. Very good.
3.7The star beer of the variety 12-pack. Not a NEIPA, and it is refreshing to go back to one with firm bitterness, a bit of bite, and a proper malt backbone. Grapefruit is prominent. But why is it called Union Jack if it is West Coast style?
3.8How: can from pint. A bit chilled. Canned: 01/04/21
Head: two fingers, white.
Colour: dark golden.
Aroma: resinous, complex citrus fruits, light white pepper, light caramel.
Taste: medium body, average carbonation, ripe citrus fruits, resinous, pine, caramel. Quite balanced bitterness.
Citrus fruits and resinous hops in medium to long aftertaste.

3.7Blik gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige en harsige geur. De smaak is moutig, vol hoppig en harsig.
3.3Blik. Prima IPA. Zowel in aroma als krachtige smaak. Lekker droge afdronk. Maar mist het extra.
3.8Clear golden color with foamy white head. Aroma of caramel malts with citrus and some tropical fruits. Taste has caramel with grapefruits and citrus. Finishes with hops. Medium body, average carbonation. Solid, well made old school IPA
4.3Bomba!! Ottimo bitter. Buona buona buona
3.5Tölkki @ Alko.
3.8Backlog. Clear golden orange color. Big citrus hop aroma. Flavor is full of citrus hop bitterness with caramel malt balance. Medium body. Very good ipa.
3.633 cl. can at home. Bought at Øldåsen.dk. High fluffy lasting white head. Clear yellow golden body. Powerful citrus aroma. Nicely hopped dry grapefruit dominated fruity flavor with a high carbonation and a long dry and bitter finish.
3.9Enjoyed: Poured from bottle tulip/snifter glass.
Appearance: Amber colour, medium head which soon gets smaller with nice lacing.
Aroma: Malt, caramel, pine, hops.
Palate: Light body, gentle carbonation.
Taste: Malt, caramel, fruits/citrus/tropic, herbs, hops, bitter with long bitter aftertaste.
Overall impression: Aromatic and tasty, drinkable despite ABV – alcohol is not sensible.
3.7Clear golden pour with a medium white head on top. Pine, caramel, wheat bread, citrus fruits for aroma. Over medium bitter, halfway medium sweet. Just over medium bodied with average carbonation. Lovely. Great example of a west coast IPA.
3.8Can from Sterk Amsterdam. Strong piney hops, some herbs, spices, robust body and sweetish finish. Really satisfying.
3.8Ochutnano 27.11.2020 v Praze na návštěvě. zakoupeno v pivotece Base Camp. Podrobnosti dodam později.
3.5355 ml can from Bottle & Board, Peterborough, bb 03/06/2021
Deep gold/amber, clear, off-white head.
Nose - malt, resin, herbs, honey.
Taste - bitter, malty, resin.
3.72.10.2020: 355 ml can at home, 7% ABV, canned 3.6.2020, bought at bierlager.ch. Pours a clear dark golden with a white head. The aroma is hoppy - pine, grapefruit, some sweetish pale malt, biscuit, bread, hints of honey, sweet resins, overripe peach. Medium body with a soft to average carbonation, a medium-light sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor is medium hoppy, lightly to medium malty and similar to the smell - sweet pine, bitter grapefruit, some resin, some bitter herbs, some biscuity malt, hints of honey, hints of dried fruits.. Finishes with a lasting medium hop bitterness. Decent bitter West Coast IPA with a solid and lightly sweetish malt backbone.

4.1This beer has a little age on it, but not too bad, so it should still be good for reviewing (canned on June 3, reviewed on Aug 9). I removed it from a ~40° F 'fridge and allowed to stand for a nearly 10 minutes before opening (longer than I intended; I was distracted after removing it from the refrigerator).
Strong aroma evident as soon as I cracked the can. Pine, grapefruit, pineapple. Just detectable is bread.
Clear golden yellow, moderate carbonation, topped by a tall off-white bubbly / creamy head that recedes in 2 or 3 minutes to floating islands and a thick ring. Some spotty lacing. I knocked the "look" rating down .25 due to the quickly disappearing head. Otherwise, a good-looking beer.
Initial taste is pine and grapefruit, strongly accented by a bitterness in the middle that carries through to the finish. There is a semi-sweet malt body trying to stay relevant, eventually pushed back by the hops flavors and bitterness. The aftertaste is pine and bitter, but does not grow quite as much as Stone IPA (for example) as you drink, but it does grow enough to maintain it's credentials as West Coast style. So, this beer presents itself as not palate-wrecking bitter, but inviting-the-next-sip bitter.
The body is moderate for the style, with a bitter edge.
Overall, a very good IPA in the West Coast style.
2.8Trying but still not a fan of the style. Aroma of pine resin and grapefruit. Taste was similar. Not too strong but hop bitterness not enjoyable to me
3.5Aroma: Fruity hops with grapefruit.
Flavour: Juicy bitter with grapefruit and a dry bitter finish.
Colour: Yellow with a white head.

2.912 oz can poured into a pickle jar. Part of a 12 can variety pack. Not bad, but not good either. Somewhat bland and boring, session like almost. Gimme something exciting for goodness sake! Try it yourself and see what you think!
3.2Ganska kraftig med humlesmak och beska.
3.6Kupljeno u hrvatskoj u goblet.hr...dobro pivo.. Malo je okus izrazito čudno voćan.. Može se piti.. Malo je teško pivo.. Ok je
3.8Clear golden, white head. Fruity aroma, stonefruit, light caramel, a little citrus. Citrusy flavour, a little mango, a little pine. Noticable warmth. Dry and bitter finish. Solid.
