3.7 backlog from Milano Dark brown, almost black, opaque, creamy head. Aroma: roasted, malty, low herbal hops. Taste: moderate to light sweetness with grassy bitterness. Creamy body. Flavour: roasted, malty, coffee. Very good.
4.2 Half pint on tap at The Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London. Black with a tan head. Rich chocolate and coffee aroma. Smooth, slick mouthfeel. Taste of more rich chocolate and coffee, powdered cocoa, touch of lightly roasted malts. Light bitterness. Distinct mocha finish. Utterly delicious. Would I drink it again? The first chance I get.
3.9 Goeie koffie chocolade Porter. Proefglas
3.6 Draught. Pours almost black with a massive beige head, lovely appearance. It directly strikes with floral aromas, prunes and chocolate. But this is not a black IPA, as we see in the flavours with very clear cocoa powder and a balanced bitterness. Full body with a very long finish.
2.7 Very malty with chocolate flavours bottle from beer52
3.5 A small taste from a friend (cask) @ Gallow's Bird Real Ale Festival 2019. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts. Flavor is dry roasted malts with some hops. Great.
3.3 (Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2019) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had creamy coffee and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A tasty but bit too burnt brew.
3.6 Near black tan head. Aroma of slightly burnt chocolate and coffee. Taste is richly roasted coffee beans with a touch of liquorice. Medium bodied with a bitter finish.

5.0 Maybe it’s the music festival putting this to 5.00 but this is a fantastic porter whoever you ask. Great smoky bite and smooth finish
3.7 Creamy beige head soon left a collar on a jet black still body. Nutty malt aroma . Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with a tingle on the back & clean finish. Smoky tastes of malt, dark spirits, demerara & bitter plum.
4.6 Amazingly good coffee porter
4.4 Brewed in Hackney this Porter is a tasty number. A 4.8% strength and a nice deep taste. My palette is poor but the advertised taste of chocolate, coffee and caramel is very pleasant. Limited head, but that’s no particular loss. Tasty.
4.0 Strong dark chocolate aroma and flavour, along with the bitterness of the dark chocolate and the roasted coffee in a long finish which also features a slightly citrus sourness.
