3.4 Bottle at seafront café/bar, Volos, Greece, Friday 4th September 2020 in the company of Kostas and Yannis. Pours extremely deep, dark brown with a slight scarlet hue, an off white head sits atop. Fruity, roasty and with a light coffee element. I am rather enjoying this beer.
3.4 33cl fles. Helder donker bruin van kleur, fijne romige creme schuimkraag. De geur is karamel en noten. Smaak is zoet, koffie, chocolade en karamel. Medium body en veel koolzuur.
2.9 Bottled, 330ml from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Deep brown with off white head. Sweet caramel to the fore with this beer, toffee'd, reasonable body. There is a creamy coffee character to this, fullish on the palate, boiled malt, notes of fruitiness. it's okay.
2.8 Dark brown color with minimal head. Cereal, malty, caramel aromas. Little bitterness.
3.5 Okay off white foam and blackish brown body, sweet oatmeal on the nose. Flavour is dark biscuit with licorice hints. Nice carbonation and oiliness. This is surprisingly good.
3.4 23 September 2019. Can from a supermarket in Agia Pelagia, Crete. Balcony tasting in Pela Mare hotel. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy black with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of burnt toast, walnut, tobacco, chicory, earth. Taste is light sweet & light bitter, bready-toasty over nutty accents with a whiff of tobacco, some caramel, coffee. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, lots of toast & tobacco lingering. Light to medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not intense in taste but a pleasant surprise overall.
3.5 Much better than expected. Coffee caramel aroma, not too bitter, clear black colour. Very tasty...
3.1 Dark brown color with a foam that disappears quickly. Smoked roasted malty aroma comes out from can. It's like coffee. Mildly bitter. Average, but tasty black lager.
3.5 黑色lager,清爽唔甜,微苦唔醇厚。 First taste in Gyristroula, Athens
2.9 Creamy light brown good mostly lastin head. Very dark red-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Chocolate notes. Light bitter chocolate flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.
3.0 Pours a deep amber-brown with off white head. Toasted bread to coffee aroma and taste. Notes: bottle in Corfu, Jul ‘19
1.5 Uzupełnienie ocen piwnych bez opisu z uwagi na przeniesienie z papierowych zapisków.
3.0 Bottle at Crete. Clear black, tan head. Light roast, dark caramel, dry vinegar. Light bitter, light sweet. Well. It tastes like a dark beer, pretty much. Prefer stouts
3.3 0,33 lt Jako dobar schwarzbier.. solidna aroma, osrednja pjena, okus fin (kava, cokolada, karamela).. sviđa mi se..
2.7 Dark , malty, coffee aroma , smooth bitterness in its taste. Pretty decent beer overall.
2.7 Dunkle Biere südlich von Zagreb sind meist wenig brauchbar. Aber dieses hat mich positiv überrascht. Es hat angenehme malzige Röstaromen und einen fein-herben Charakter, wenngleich es auch sehr süß ist.
3.1 0,33l bottle parnassos - dark brown black with a brownish head- aroma of toasted malts fruits wine - tastes the previous with a bitter overall taste
3.0 Bottle from supermarket, Athens. Not too bad really. Classic dark macro. ...
2.9 DMS, słód, kawa zbożowa, lekko opiekane tosty. Goryczka delikatna. Generalnie przyjemne, ale bez szaleństw
2.8 330ml bottle from Metro, drunk at home on a rainy December evening. Pours almost opaque with a thin, fast-settling, rocky, beige head, minimal lacing and no visible rising carbonation. Dark brown in colour with red hints. On the nose, burnt toast, slight smoked ham, and caramel. In the mouth, lower than average carbonation, dry from the start with flavours similar to the aromas, thin texture, almost no sweetness before a short, dry, mid-bitter finish. Aromatic and tasty, but bland looks and awful mouth-feel drag it back to ordinary.
3.1 Bottle bought at a Limassol supermarket. Didn't like the aroma, but quite full in taste, not an everyday finding at the Greek brew scene.
2.9 From backlog. Bottle at Hotel Adrian, Athen, Greece. Black with beige head. Roasted malts, sweetness. Some bitterness.
3.3 0,33 bottle from 2014. Pours black, with a thin head. Aroma of roast malts, dark fruits. Taste of roast malts, molases. Light sweet, medium bitter. Sweet and bitter aftertaste.
2.9 19/12/2017 - 33 cl bottle in a restaurant @Dock's Brussels. Black, small tanned lacing. Nose is roasted malts, bit sweetness. Taste is thin, roasted malts, sweet hints. Not great but not as bad expected either.
4.0 06-08-2017; draft; somewhere in Thessaloniki, Greece). The looks of the beer are lovely. The beer is dark brown, almost black. It has a nice brown glow. It is to dark to tell clarity. on top there is a nice beige soft head, with a garage foam retention. The looks are that of a Stout, or Schwarzbier. The smell of the beer is nice. The is a nice maltiness at first, than some savoury and bitter toast aromas, some coffee and chocolate, sweet malts and a hint of hops. Nice and well balanced. The taste is slightly milder. It isi a bit watery. Besides this, there are nice bitter and slightly savoury toasted malts and some sweet lain malts, balanced with some lovely bitter hops. it could just be a bit more powerful. The palate is nice. Nice full body, smoot beer and nice medium carbonation. The finish contains ism nice bittersweet toasted malts with bitter hop hints. Stays around for a nice and long time. Lovely and just as I hoped.
3.4 Sampled as Fix Dark Lager Beer Medium, reasonably stable beige head, bit irregular over jet-black beer; Immediate coffeenose, coffeesweets (koffiebonen, roasted, but sweet. Roasted nuts. Dry-roasted, near ashy flavour, sweetness from the nose all but gone (only in the very aftertaste a reminiscense of sweet malt). Warming up, potato peel. Very dry MF, light body, almost no trace of slickness. Spritzy carbonation. Wààày better than expected. It is indeed totally Schwarz tastewise, although the nose would have you believe otherwise.
2.4 Donker bier met geroosterde cacao smaken, licht bittere afdronk. 5,2% alcohol
2.9 W aromacie jest trochę kawy i czekolady. W smaku z parszywą goryczką, ale i tak jedną z najlepszych rzeczy jaką udało mi się w Grecji kupić.
