3.2 Aroma; meadows, fruits, malt, bread, caramel, very normal. Look; off white head, bright n clear golden body. Taste; malt, fruit, spices, hops, herbs, brown bread. Finish; well malted and a bit spiced. Feel; solid body, normal carbonation. Overall; good normal bock. [16.9°, bügelflasche/ patentkorkflaske/ swingtop-btl@Melfar2018]
3.4 Pours a crystal clear, light golden coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smell is sweet, doughy, malt and grassy, herbal hops. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of doughy, biscuity malt and grassy, herbal hops. Light notes of citrus, grains and spice. Finishes bittersweet with a light herbaceous note in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. While this is not a great example of the style, it's not that bad either. Nice malty highlights balanced by herbal, grassy hops that never let this become too sweet.
3.2 Bottle from Seijo Ishii in Kuzuha Mall. Fruity nose, with grain, quite floral, and some alcohol fumes. Clear medium straw color, with a fluffy white head. Very malty and sweetish grainy initial flavor. Gets richer in mid palate, but then the alcohol interferes. Mild sweetish finish. Medium body. Okay, but the slightly harsh alcohol in mid palate kind of dampens the possibilities in the flavor.
2.8 Bottled. Golden, clear beer with big, frothy head. Moderate malty aroma (bread, caramel) and a hinch of alcohol in the end. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Light body with average carbonation.
3.7 Thuis uit een beugelflesje. Helder gouden kleur, wit schuim. Goede smaak, stevig. Prima.
2.9 Damp 27/4 2018. 33 cl bottle with swing cap from Edeka, Schleswig. Green version of Flensburgers design with sail boat, Tower and lions. Pours clear yellow with medium sized bubbly white head. Settles as thin layer of almost transparent foam. Very moderate lacing. Aroma is malty and sweetish. Grainy, light hints of grass and butter. Light carbonation and slightly thick texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger sharp bitterness. Aftertaste is a little rough. Bitter and a little boozy. Surprisingly bitter for the style. A little boozy and sharp but pretty well balanced.
2.8 Pours a light golden, clear colour with a white head. Nose has stale hops, bready malt sweetness and grass or hay notes. Taste is pretty light for a bock and fairly påskebryg like. Tastes like the aroma suggests I suppose. Mineral, malty aftertaste.
3.1 “Flensburger Frühlingsbock“, Bügelverschlußflasche (33 cl) aus einem Berliner Supermarkt. - Tief goldgelb, blank. Gut!
3.3 Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Gylden. Køyt kritthvit skum som daler sakte. Lett & god maltaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søtlig malt & krydder. Balansert. Tørr krydderettersmak. Godt håndverk!
3.7 Flip-top 330ml bottle from 'Beers of Europe': BBD 10th Jan 2018. Drank at home late on 10th Sep 2017. Poured into a 16 oz straight sided glass from 'Good People' Birmingham, Alabama. i like to mix my beers and glasses. Light golden body, bright, clear and clean: white blanket of bubbles on top, sadly swiftly fading away to a wisp and collar. The aroma had a sweet grainy front, some even sweeter honey esters also within the bread like nose. The taste was also grainy, bready and fairly sweet. Nice carbonation throughout and a very pleasant beer which hides it's alcohol content with ease.
2.8 33cl bottle. clear golden color. small white head. malt, bread, hops, yeast, a bt sweet. low to medium bitterness. medium carbonation.
2.9 0.33 l bottle. Pours clear golden with no head. It’d be a nice, malts-based, beer with some honey and cereal notes but slight, unfortunate metallic notes ruin it a bit. Still drinkable tho.
3.1 33cl bottle at home. Appearance: clear pale straw with low white head. Aroma: malts, bread, grassy and some honey. Taste: fairly high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of sweet malts, yeast, some spice, trace of licorice. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and medium carbonation.
3.0 Bottle with swingtop 0,33ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an sweet and also dry bitter taste, hints of honeylike sweet maltiness,
3.0 Bottle. Pale yellow/golden. Decent head. Aroma is rather weak, some malts, a little bit of hops, grassy, skunky...Taste is malty, grainy, sweetish with a touch of honey. A handful of hops say hello from the background. Medium to strong carbonation. Easy drinking despite the abv. Solid (as a) Bock.
3.4 Aroma: malty and herbal. Appearance: clear golden color and white head. Taste: malty, fresh herbal notes, weak flower notes, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: Nice maibock, not too sweet.
3.2 Bottle from Bitter Virtue Soton and drunk at home. Clear gold colour thin white head. Hoppy bocky aroma. Some sweetness in the malts but they are all pale. A little hop on the finish. Good pale bock for me.
2.7 33cl Bottle at home. Apperance: orange golden with a large head. Aroma: sweetish bready malt, corn, fruity notes, sugar, floral notes. Taste: above moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish, with a bit of alcohol. The rest is like the aroma. medium body, average carbonation. A bit too sweet, but stil drinkable, but it dissapointing for a German bock beer.
3.6 Sampled at SBWF 2015. No head. Clear yellow color. Clean and crisp malt aroma. Sweet malty taste but still fresh and not too sweet. Low bitterness.
3.4 Golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with a touch of herbal hops. Sweetish malty flavour with herbal hops and a nice bitter finish.
3.1 330ml bottle. Pours orange gold with a large head. Aroma is corn, bread and alcohol. Taste is sweet to start. Slightly rubbery finish with some alcohol.
2.0 On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma of bananas, fruity esters, bread. Tastes sweet with not quite balancing bitterness. Disappointing - there are far better bock beers available in Germany.
3.4 Bottle: Golden color, small white head. Aroma is malty, grassy hops, ripe fruits. Flavor is malty, light sweet, full bodied, fruity (apricot, dried fruits), grassy hops. Nice fruity Bock.
3.8 330ml bottle, from trade with Erzengel, many thanks! Actually have many memories consuming this in Northern Germany / Kiel / Hamburg. Pours clear gold, good white head. Aroma is pleasant sweet pale malts. Taste is sweet, clean, slightly bready, almost buttery. Not a bad heller bock.
3.5 Sample @ Kalmar Ölfestival. Golden with a small white head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, fruit, caramel and hops. Medium body with a nice bitter sweet finish.
3.0 Butelka 330ml (05.01.2017).
