3.2 Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a fluffy white head, light wheat aroma with hints of cloves, the taste is medium bitterness and with a dry bitter finish.
3.2 0,5 l bottle from Getränke Rücker, Lengerich. Dark murky brown amber with an huge three finger foamy head in the glass. Smells more to orange than banana. Taste starts with wheat and yeast, orange in the background. getting a little bit dry in the second part. Though it´s not really complex it´s a good standard one.
3.2 Eingetrübt bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger, würziger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell & Bananen, Nelken, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
4.0 Bottle from The Curious Hop, Otley. Pours a hazy caramel brown colour with a huge thick creamy beige head. Very lively carbonation in the glass. Aromas of bananas, cloves, caramel, wheat and hints of bubblegum. Taste has lots of caramel, some toffee, lighter notes of banana, cloves, bubblegum and candy. Medium to full body with a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Different to most other Dunkelweizen i have tried but in a good way. I am really enjoying this one. Very nice.
3.2 Clear amber with a massive off-white head. Yeasty aroma. Taste is grain, a hint of honey and a fruity, very mildly bitter palate.
3.6 Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Soupy amber colour. Dense, lasting, partially lacing, off white head. Nose has minty toffee. Cinnamon heavy apple pie. Marathon Man levels of clove. Taste is lightly sweet, with a punchy herbal bitterness. Fairly smooth palate. High foamy carbonation. Short bitterness to finish.
3.3 It is a really good one, dark color and nice smell. I am not a big fan of keller ones but this is a really nice try regarding wheat beer.
3.2 Flasche 0,5l: Kastanienbraun, dunkles Kupfer, kräftige Trübung, sehr kräftiger stabiler feinporiger Schaum; frische + leicht fruchtige, dunkle Fruchtigkeit, kräftige malzige Süße, kräftige Hefearomen, Malz, Getreide, Karamell, leichte Röstaromen, nussig, etwas Kaffee, dezente trockene Hopfennoten; frischer + leicht fruchtiger Körper, kräftige malzige Süße, dezente fruchtige Säure, dunkle Fruchtigkeit, kräftige Hefearomen, Malz, Getreide, dunkles Karamell, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, etwas Bananenschale, leichte Hopfennoten; angenehmer malzig-trockener Nachgang
3.8 26-12-19 // 500 ml bottle. Shared. Between Dunkel and Helles Weizen. Smooth minimal roasted. Good banana creaminess. I really like.
3.8 Right between and regular hefe and a dunkelweissen. But does it right, great flavors, chewy and spot on with all the typical flavors and just a hint of roast. Graeff hamburg
3.3 500 ml bottle. Cloudy brown, big foamy head. Chestnut, nuts, malt, banana, wood, estery notes, caramel. Mild dry bitterness, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, milky texture, lively carbonated, dry finish. Very decent!
2.8 Flasche bei Lager Lager in Neukölln. Dunkles Bernstein-Orange, viel Schaum Aroma: Malz, leicht Banane, etwas Hefe Geschmack: Süß, Malz, Fruchtig, etwas Karamell.
Gute Substanz, gute Konsistenz.
3.7 Pours cloudy amber beer with a large ivory-coloured fluffy head. Decent retention. Aroma: wheat bread, toasted malts, banana, apple peel, a little clove, some wet grain and hop. Light to medium body. The taste echoes the aroma. Light sweet, fruity, spicy. Light hop bitterness also detected. Nice tart ending. Tasty and balanced.
3.0 Bottle picked up at Spar, Walchsee, Austria and consumed at the Camping Seespitz campsite Friday 16th August after a 25 mile return cycle trip to Kufstein. Pours deep orange, hazy. A little sweet andLacking in character, there is a little banana, its wheatiness does show, but it's a beer that passes you by.
3.0 Bottle courtesy of my brother. Almost clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheaty, caramel and banana. Flavor is medium sweet. Sweet finish. 140719
2.3 Cloudy amber beer with cream-colored head, smell is very light typical Hefeweizen, very light bananas and yeast, taste is also very light bananas and yeast, nearly watery, good drinkability, but not special and more boring
3.3 Bottle 50cl, a copper amber beer with good head and retention. Nose is on wheat, low fruit notes. Aroma is well malty, wheat, fresh bread, light caramel, good body, light banana at the finish.
3.6 500ml bottle from Arden Wines. Muddy peach with a semi-controllable tuft. This is a dark weiss in the Schneider or Maisels ballpark, not a dunkelweizen. Nose smoky clove, nutmeg, bath suds and banana like Sahti. Lemon puff wheat, slightly edgy banana and sweet apple peel yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove spice. The kind of big yeasty wheat that will have you writhing on a cubicle floor clutching your stomach in agony if you attempt to drink 5 plastic pint pots of it at a Kylie gig in Munich, for example. Wearing lederhosen. Bonus point. Good fruity, robust hefe (not dunkelweizen). Prost!
3.5 amber/gouden met volle crème-achtige fijne lichte kraag. aroma van kruidnagel, mout, gist en banaan, smaken redelijk wat co2, mout, tarwe, licht droog, matige body, goede hefe-weisse.
3.0 Bottle, The Offie, Leicester. Hazy brown with an initial large foam. Brown bread and weetabix malts. Sweet wheat. Banana and light spices. Sudsy notes. Slightly sour apple. It's OK.
3.5 Not actually a Dunkelweizen - well, OK, it's dunkel and it's a Weizen, but it's really a classic old style Ur-Weisse or Bernsteinweizen, still a Hefeweizen but made with brown malts. The classic banana and spice nose is there, than a toasty malt and candy sweetness over a moderate noble-hop bitterness. Very nice example.
Dezent gehopft. Langer würziger Abgang, auch hier säuerlich.
3.4 500ml bottle. Malt, caramel, candy, German hop, coriander(?), orange peel(?). Rather Belgian Weiss than German.
3.0 500ml bottle. Cloudy chestnut colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, mostly lasting, minimalyl lacing, off-white head. Wheaty and fruity aroma, hints of banana, baked, banana, banana leafs, a nuttily touch, minimally sulphurous protein overtones. Taste is minimally nutty, wheaty, leafy; slightly watery, soft carbonation, soft, minimally creamy palate.
3.5 Fles 50cl thuis. Romig, zurig, goede zoettonen, banaan, vanille. (3-2016)..
3.4 500ml Flasche. Dunkelbraun mit Trübung und großer Schaumkrone. Malzig mit ordentlichem Körper. Süffig. Lecker.
3.3 500ml Bottle - Cloudy amber in colour. Peach, caramel, sultanas and banana can be detected in both the aroma and taste.
2.8 Piwo wypite przed zalozeniem konta na RateBeer. Ocena wystawiona na podstawie wspomnien z degustacji.
2.4 High and not stable foam. Amber, cloudy, but more light colour. Banana, spicy and yeasty aroma. Really terrible taste, yeasty, malty, sour but something is missing. Medium body, low carbonation and oily texture. Something is wrong.
