2.5 0,33l bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma: Artifical apple and citrus aromas with candy sugar and a slight banana notes. Taste: Very sweet start with a tarty mouthfeel. The weisse caracter just slightly noticable. Light body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting tarty/dry finish. This kind a fruit beer is not my cup of tea. This was too sweet and artifical for me. The lambic variants are better for my taste.
2.7 F: average size, white, quick gone. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malt, hint of wheat, artificial apple dominates, white sugar, hint of citrus and cinnamon. T: malt, wheat, very sweet, apple, spicy, medium body, normal carbonation, too sweet to be good, 3,6% ABV, 33cl bottle from Prik&Tik /Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.
4.2 Bottle from Cork & Fork in Gainesville Aroma: apples, cinnamon Appearance: golden with a white head Taste: light sweetness, lightly sour, Palate: light body, slick feel, average carbonation, long finish, Tasty
2.7 02/09/2016 - 33cl bottle @ Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, Ghent. Clear yellow, with small head. Nose is sweet artificial apple. Taste is refreshing apple, not that stocky sweet as expected, in the back some beer taste noticeable.
2.2 Pours a cloudy yellow with fizzy head. Aromas of fruit, grass, and apples. Flavors of light apple, yeast, and hay.
3.2 33cl Flasche "Foudroyante Pomme". Gelbes leicht trübes Bier. Es duftet natürlich nach Apfel. Fruchtiger etwas säuerlicher Geschmack.
2.6 330ml bottle. (As Floris Apple, 3.6% ABV) Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a medium, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves, spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of green apple, pear and soap. Sweet, fruity flavour of green apple and yeast with a slightly dry, sour finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft body. Very similar to a cider.
3.3 Bottle 0,33l. Pours a hazy pale golden color, topped with a soapy white head. Aroma of apples naturally with some cider-like notes. Taste is sweet and fruity again with some apple sourness.
3.4 Bottle. A- Apples, apple juice, sweet, spice, caramel. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, minimal head. T- Apples, slightly sweet, spice, caramel. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, sweet finish. O- I’d hoped for some reason this would be really good. Yea, it’s like most other apple beers. A nice touch of caramel to give it a caramel granny smith apple taste which was nice, but certainly did nothing to excite me.
3.5 Keg at delirium cafe. Pours hazy yellow, nose is all apple, taste is basically apple juice, fruity, sweet.
2.6 On tap at le delirium café, Brussels. Hazy light yellow with almost no head. Candied granny smith, citrus. Sweet without bitterness. A refreshing apple soda.
2.6 Bottle sample, 3.6%. Hazy yellow with small off-white head. Sweetish aroma of apple and honey, notes of camomile and herbal tea. Extremely sweet flavor, notes of red apple, honey and herbal tea, very sugary, sticky finish. Soft carbonation, medium-bodied.
2.9 Everybody burns this but it’s OK for a fruit beer. Pour hazy blonde with OK head and lacing. Some apple and hint of citrus. Sweet finish. Like sweet cider. Tap at Belga Cafe.
2.8 It pours murky ochre; the head is off white and foamy. The aroma has notes of: apple candy, and bubblegum. The taste is heavy sweet; there are notes of: granny smith, pears, and cereal. The palate is light bodied and has medium carbonation; it has a short finish. Overall, it’s an inoffensive apple soda - no hate, just not that great.
2.6 Bottle from JSG Wine Merchants, Hills Road, Cambridge. On sale for 50p, nabbed the last one. Hazy whitish gold pour. Nice aroma... apples and cinnamon with a doughy/yeasty hit. Taste starts off ok, quite sweet with an apple Sourz tinge, but there’s a slightly funky off note. A weird beverage, but it’s refreshing in the oppressive June heat.
3.1 Sample at ZBF. Golden beer with a small head, aroma is apple, taste is the same, reminds me of the German drink called apfelkorn, actuallt quite enjoyable
2.3 (bottle) hazy golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of apple juice and bubble gum, rather perfumed, with a light hint of pale malts and pears. flavour is mostly caramel, bubble gum and soap, quite sweet, with lots of mango, some tobacco and pissoir cubes. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
3.3 Pours a hazy pale golden color, topped with a soapy white head, soon dissaperaing. Nice sweet fruity aroma, apples naturally with some cider-like notes. Taste is sweet and fruity again with some apple sourness. Feels like an apple juice with something in the back. Pretty nice.
2.8 Golden colour with white head, aroma of (green) apple, sweet and a bit sour taste, doesn’t taste much like beer
4.3 Yellow hazy with medium white head. Apple aroma. Refreshing apple taste: sweet and sour.
2.6 Tap at Delirium. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of apples and spice.
2.6 On tap at Delirium Tap House, Brussels. A bit hazy golden/yellow with a white head. Very sweet with apples, apple pie and some vanilla. A descent "beer-soda" if you like that.
4.0 It’s a hazy straw colour, leaves a small head of foam and lacing. I smell green apples and some hints of cinnamon. Tasty green apple goodness with some cinnamon spice, refreshing in its simplicity. Light bodied with light carbonation. I like well made fruit beers and this certainly qualifies as one for me.
2.3 Botella de 33 cl, en Cerveceria Internacional. Color dorado claro. Sabor a manzana, malta, dulce.
2.4 Opaque golden w/ strong apple aroma - who would have guessed. Strong sweet apple taste, still some white beer mouthfeel there. You drink what is available in this country. (Dubai 201410)
2.9 "not at all like a traditional beer in the flavor or aroma. loads of apple, with a hint of cinnamon and honey sweetness. no ddiscernable hop or really even malt presence, but refreshing in it’s simplicity."
1.7 16/VIII/14 - 33cl bottle as "Zoeteke Appel" @ 5de Gents Bierfestival - BB: VI/2015 (2014-919) Thanks to PriorL for sharing the bottle! Clear light orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of apple juice, bit sugary, dusty touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary, apple juice, more sugar, candy, little lemony, cloying. Aftertaste: very sugary, sweet, apple juice, candy, little lemony, more sugar, a bit off.
2.5 Shared a bottle on Gents Bierfestival 2014. APPEARANCE: clouded blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: apples, little sour. TASTE: apples, little sour, too sweet.
2.0 Apple version in this series of witbier-based sweet fruit beers, with hazy yellow blonde colour, dense, snow white head and a very strong, artificial apple aroma; taste likewise dominated by artificial apple, sourish wheat note, soft, sugary and ending in cloying sweetness. Not utterly disgusting but way too sweet for me, like all those other Floris beers.
