3.9 Thuis uit een flesje op 27-1-2019. Mooie oranje kleur met goed schuim. Stevige smaak, met inderdaad wat citrus. Erg lekker, ook bij het Indische eten.
2.9 Bottle from Head of Steam Leicester. Orange gold and clear with a small white head. Light aroma of tangerine. Chemical and floral notes. Sweet taste with light fruity hops. Long gluey finish. Bitter aftertaste. Overall unsatisfying.
3.8 Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours lightly copper tinged gold with a white head. Tropical aroma - passionfruit with a mango note. Med + body. Flavor is mixed tropicals - passionfruit and mango - with a seeming hint of pineapple. Slightly roasty malt. Almost enough for an APA. Not getting yeast as such, but there's a bit of clove for sure. Nice mouthfeel. Decent flavor mix. Nice.
3.6 Sample at Kurtkeller 028: Wisconsin-tastic 01 on 06/10/2018. This beer is a clear orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of yeast, tropical fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, pineapple, hops and malt. The finish is tropical fruit and yeast. Decent overall.
3.7 From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Playing Avadon 3. 5 months after bb date, but still nice. Orange peel marmalade-like notes with abv mostly well hidden (a bit shows)
3.6 Bottle in Chantilly, VA at Hampton Inn. Yeasty with a mild hoppy bitterness. Nicely done.
3.4 Bottle. Cloudy orange amber, low golden cream. Papaya, passion fruit hop aroma. Medium body, dry, slightly over carbonated, dry cookie malt, light Belgian funk, light minerals, pleasant fruitiness. Quick dry finish.
3.5 Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Mørk gylden. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Nesten klar. Ferskenaroma. Smaken sammensatt fruktig. Tørket aprikos. Litt tyggegummipreg. Lett tørr & bitter avslutning.
3.1 Mørk, moden frukt, karamell, bitter, ufrisk.........................................
3.9 12 oz bottle pours an almost clear amber/orange with medium fluffy off-white head. Aroma has tropical fruit (pineapple, passionfruit, mango) but also some yeasty bread. Taste is slightly bitter with a short finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Body is medium to full with slight carbonation and an almost syrupy mouthfeel. I approached this as a Belgian IPA, not an Imperial IPA and enjoyed it.
3.6 pours hazy copper orange with a medium off white head. fruity floral aroma. The Belgian really shows up in the taste. Yeasty but then some tropical fruit and hop bitter. A little bit of orange presence. Pleasant finish and linger. Different, but good!
3.2 Kind of a coffee taste. For an ipa it’s not to bad in the part. Tiny bit of fruit but not much.
3.7 DATE: May 20, 2018... OCCASION: a busy weekend closes with a strong IPA... GLASSWARE: Chimay 30th anniversary chalice... pours an orange amber body with a collection of bubbles that feeds a half-finger's worth of creamy white head... mango and pineapple take center stage, making its tropical moniker appropriate... the "extra something" is a burst of berries and apple that suggest crispness for an otherwise tart offering... malts really do not make a strong statement, with passing biscuit feigning balance... first draw is smooth, creamy as its head, medium-bodied, and refreshing--much belying its 8%ABV until its warming finish... sweet, almost nutty flavors mingling with an audaciously brilliant citrus clarity... the buttery quality endears its finish... a lot to like here, and happy to have had Flying Dog around this long--they were among the first mix packs I remember buying, and they do a lot well... slight cough drop quality takes a bit from its score, but this one is a nice Imperial that fools you into a false sense of security...
3.4 Botella 33 cl.
3.2 Clear and and golden with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of tropical fruit but it feels rather rough and raw. Gets much worsenas it warms up so drink it cold.
3.5 Botella. Unclear amber colour, big white head, steady and well lasing.aroma of yeast, hoppy fruit and citrus. Flavour is yeasty and hoppy fruity with malt, sweet finish. Ok bitterness.
3.2 Kind of a hop yawner even if it is Belgian. MyHealth Aroma that is about 1 part traditional Belgian gold one part hop and wet cardboard and one part pale malt. Flavor is like nose plus a little spice some background sweetness and a long bitter finish.
3.8 A good mix with the fruit to cut the normal bite in a raging, makes the beer a bit more approachable
3.8 Dark golden with off white head - Tropical fruity hop aroma - Malt body to support a good tropical fruity flavour with hints of hop bitterness - The tropicval fruity flavours goes into the finish - This was good

3.6 Bottle @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours clear orangeish amber with airy pff-white head. Clear aroma of malt and citrus and yeast, with notes of hops.
