2.8 Bottled, 355ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Hazy gold with white head. There is a sharp, pear drop aroma but when taking the initial sip there is little more than sweet lemonade. After a while a light coriander note along with ester’y banana hints. Tastes like a cheapened version of a Belgian Wit rather than the full on effort. Not one to repeat.
3.6 Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden-straw color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades super-fast to leave a tiny bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a yeasty smell mixed with a spicy smell of coriander and clove. A decent wheaty base is there as well, along with some lemongrass and a little bit of an orange smell. Taste – The taste begins with a lighter wheat bread flavor as well as having a rather heavy yeasty and spicy flavor of coriander and clove. Along with these flavors comes some tastes of a citrus orange and some light banana. As the taste moves on further, the orange fades while the banana increases a bit. A little bit of lemon come to the tongue along with some hay and a grassy taste. In the end with the dawdling of the orange sweetness, the advent of the grass and hay, and the good level of yeast and spice, one is left with a rather balanced witbier flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is average to just above average. For the lighter abv. and the yeasty and wheaty flavor of the brew, the feel is rather decent and makes for a rather refreshing beer. Overall – A rather decent and refreshingly balanced wit. Rather well done and an easy drinker at only 4.8 %.
3.2 Bottle from Great Grog. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, lemon, yeast and a hint of white pepper. Flavour of lemon sweets, pear drops and a hint of banana. Thin body with a light, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A bit dull...
3.2 Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with white foam. Aroma is wheat and yeast. Taste follows suit, with corander and slight spice.
2.8 "eh. not bad. aroma of yeast, citrus, spice (coriander)...similar flavor, a little muddled. slight overcarbonation and a light feel, otherwise a solid wit entry."
3.3 Pours pale yellow with cloudiness from the yeast. Aroma Yeast and wheat. Tastes yeast and wheat but a little thin compared to a higher abv beer. Okay but prefer hoegarden over this.
3.2 Appearance of watered down lemonade. Super smooth. Wheaty orange goodness, goes down really easy.
3.5 Bottle. Cloudy yellow appearance with a big head that hung around for some time.Quite wheaty and easy to drink. I am not a fan of this style but found this one easy to drink.
4.3 BBD 232/14. Pours a pale yellow with a very slight haze. Massive head with excellent lacing and retention. Very nice Belgian nose of coriander, orange and yeast with a slight pepper note. Light medium body with a smooth texture that has some creamy feel to it as well. Slightly above normal carbonation that yields a nice effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is complex and well balanced. The flavors of the nose are all present, with coriander and orange being most prevalent. The finish is crisp with just a touch of pepper underlying the coriander. While not as flavor intensive as Allagash White, this one is still outstanding.
1.0 Poured from 12oz bottle. Nice golden hue with a brilliant white head. Notes of orange peel and banana. Lacking in mouthfeel and flavor for something that looked so promising. --you've been Dubbed.
3.4 330ml bottle, pours cloudy orange golden brown, white head. Aroma has wheat and caramel malt, spice, orange peel comes through, belgian yeast aromas. A bit zesty and tangy, carbonation lively. Good but lacking a bit of full aroma.
3.7 I had this at Global Brew. Pours straw yellow with a white head. Taste wheat, coriander, orange. I thought this was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again.
3.1 355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear yellow, no real head. Aromas of dusty lemon, bready yeast, hint of spice. Taste is slightly acidic, more lemon and yeast. Thin texture. OK.
3.4 Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Cloudy, straw colour. Billowy, white, sticky, head. Bready, yeasty lemon. Hint of spice. Taste is light dry. A hint of pithy bitterness. Palate is soft and a little fresh. Dry finish. Not a lot going off, but very refreshing.
3.1 355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy peachy orange. Nice lacy head. Nose - pungent overripe mango and a slightly fusty yeast note in the background. Taste - peaches with white pepper all wrapped in yoghurt. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy and a dry yeasty finish. Overall - not the freshest Wit I’ve had. Quite complex though.
2.9 Cloudy lemon-colour with a white head that fades quickly. Very little aroma but perhaps lemon curd. Taste pretty insipid but light sweet and bitter. Average carbonation and creamy texture. Really quite unremarkable if refreshing.
3.3 Bottle pour. Clear golden color with decent head. Slight orange aroma. Light body. Starts with small bitter taste and ends with clean orange aftertaste.
3.1 4oz pour at Jack Rose DC. Pours a hazy straw yellow with some sudsy white head. Nose is super estery, coriander, herbs, white pepper, perfume, dried grass. Flavor is kind of gross, oddly sweet, coriander, heavy Tums, straw, candle wax. Chalky finish.
3.3 Light coriander and some bread yeast. Very soft floral aroma, but OK balanceoverall. Light sour and sweet on finish . Bottle
2.9 Pours pale straw with a white head that fades quickly to a rim. Aroma is wheat bread, lemon, coriander. Taste follows the aroma but more bready malt, orange peel and a short herbal bitter finish. A bit metallic. Fizzy carbonation. Refreshing and drinkable but I prefer Hoegarden.
3.0 Bottle to tulip glass. Pours an opaque gold with white head . Aroma is mostly yeast and citrus zest. Flavor is a bit on the fruity for a Belgian White but went down smooth
3.9 Hazy pale straw, golden colour with a white frothy/pillowy head. Noses of bread, cereal, hay, spruce and hints of coriander and linde. Light sweet with a fine herb bitterness. Offers a light fizz, light creamy texture with a medium body. Medium long lasting well balanced finish.
2.7 Bottle: muddled straw body with a foamy, cloud-like white head that recedes rather slowly & leaves some nice lacing behind. Aroma has notes of wheat, coriander, mild clove, orange peel, & lemon zest. Mild, but refreshing. Taste is a little watery with subtle hints of dry grains & wheat, musky hops, lemon zest, & a faint metallic tone. Finishes with flavors of bready yeast & light spice. Light, not much to it, but still not bad. At 4.8% ABV, it’s poundable.
3.0 Draught at The Rover Hazy golden. White head. Spicy herby Weiss-aroma and flavour. Rather sweet. Nice Weiss.
3.2 355 ml bottle. Pours pale golden color with a large white head. Citric fruits and yeast on the nose, faint herbal notes and some hay. Citric fruits on the flavor as well, hay, yeast, faint spices and some hops. Refreshing but a bit straightforward. 2334
3.3 Pale Yellow Color, Big Frothy Head, Decent Strings Of Lacing. Slightly Funky Aroma of Yeast, Coriander. Wheat, Light Citrus, Coriander, Malt, Faint Bitter Finish. Amazing as it goes from slightly sour to just a little sweet and finishes Faint Bitter. Soft Carbonation, Light, Refreshing and Easy Drinker. Good. Worth A Try...

3.2 355ml bottle from Ales by Mail BBE 04/14 - Pours clear yellow with a small bubbly head. Aroma of spices, apricot, orange peel, hints of wheaty malts and citrus. Taste is smooth, sweetish, slightly spicy and wheaty with hints of apricot and orange peel. Finish is a bit stuffy and malty with hints of spices. Decent wit, but nothing special here.
3.1 Bottle 0.355l at home (via alesbymail). Colour is cloudy yellow with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, spices, wheat and malts. Not bad.
3.2 355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy aroma has a coriander touch, cautious hints of peppery yeast, underlying more strawy than wheaty basis. Taste is minimally sweet wheat malty, minimally tart, some orange zest, a touch of peach, hints of coriander; average carbonation. Hits the point of the style, nothing more, nothing less.
