Bottle sample at a tasting. Deep brown with brownish head. The aroma has notes of maple, tonka, vanilla, alcohol, cocoa, wood. The flavor is sweet and bitter with notes of alcohol, vanilla, cocoa, maple, some tonka, wood, acetaldehyde,spices. Medium to full-bodied.
Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black, tan foam. Bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, maple, tonka note, sweet, a bit of bitterness.
Colore nero,schiuma marrone compatta poco persistente. Al naso vaniglia, caffè, leggere note di tabacco. Al palato vaniglia, zucchero, leggere note di legno sul finale. Leggera carbonazione. Il finale risulta dolce. Una birra equilibrata e molto bevibile, il gusto risulta dolce per tutta la bevuta con un accenno secco nel finale.
355ml bottle from hopt.it, France. 2021 vintage, also bought in 2021. Pours black, with fine brown foam. Aroma is rich with cacao, molasses, nutty, vanilla, wood/barrel. Body is average, smooth, a little oily, with soft ticking carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, with some oxidation. Final is still rather intense, and pleasant.
Aroma is coffee, toasted/dark malts, chocolate and a hint of bourbon. The flavor is bourbon, dark malts, chocolate and a mild/medium sweet maple syrup/acidic finish.
Pours black, mahogany lastin, lacing foam head. Aroma is bourbon and vanilla, taste similar, fruit tones. (Velp 2203)

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, oak, vanilla and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long chocolate, vanilla, coconut and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle at a tasting. Black with a small tan head. Vanilla, chocolate, soy sauce. Sweet, umami, bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, coconut, maple. Medium full bodied, oily.
Fat på Skaal. Doftar underbart med bourbon främst. Så välbalanserad mjuk med fina bubblor. Mycket bourbon-smak o lååång eftersmak. En höjdaröl! Mmmm gott
Bottled 355ml (Humala, vintage 2021). Opaque colour and small beige head. Aroma is toasted with cocoa and tobacco, vanilla sweetness. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Flavour is similar: cocoa, vanilla, roasted notes, hops, touch of alcohol. Good brew with typical Founders fingerprints.

The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate maple syrup, wood, vanilla, coffee, and a bit of bourbon, leading to a dry woody finish.
Bottle @ Kvickly Middelfart. Pours black with a small beige head. Roast and too much fake vanilla happening. Ashes, roast, dust and maple. That vanilla is ruining it for me. A discounted feel.
Bottle, 2021. Pours almost black, dark brown head. Nose is sweet, maple, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Lovely nose. And happy to say taste follows. Quite intense and sweet with roasted malts, chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla, little coffee, little bitterness. While I have found some older Foundrs beers not as nice as I remembered them earlier in my beer journey, this is lovely stuff. Hits lots of marks in my wishlist for this sort of beer.

12oz bottle from Arrow - Mason, bottled 2/1/21. Little touch of oxidization noticeable up front. Some bigger roast malt, lightly spicy. Some bourbon oak, little vanilla, milk chocolate. A little weirdness in the flavor, hint of smoke, and the maple syrup kind of like molasses. Moderate bitter taste, lightly astringent, bigger sweet, little warmth on the finish, little bit of odd cloying sweet on the finish. Medium to bigger body, kind of creamy texture. Lighter carbonation, lightly rough, light edge to the finish. OK, not great. Maybe a year is too much for this.
355 ml bottle poured in to a Snifter. Near black with a dense creamy tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, cocoa, maple syrup, vanilla, whisky barrel and a toasted note. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Lingering sweet finish with maple syrup and vanilla. Light boozy. Rather sweet, just enough barrel to balance the sweetness.

T- Oak, maple, vanilla, chocolate.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly boozy finish.
O- All the flavors are there but they are fairly mild and it's not terribly complete. A decent sweetness. I did enjoy this but for some reason wanted more depth. Not sure how it would've aged. Still enjoyed.
--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Black, small brown head. Aroma of maple syrup and vanilla. Very sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Dominated my maple syrup, caramel and custardy vanilla. Simplistic and over sweet.
Bottle, 2021 vintage. Sweet maple syrup aroma with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon and oak flavors. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with maple syrup, bourbon and oak flavors. Quite good with the maple syrup sweetness balanced well.

Very good seasonal imp stout. I just have a doubt around flavours... Really tastes like synth/unnatural aroma.
DATE: December 18, 2021... OCCASION: watching the end of Only Murders in this Building... GLASSWARE: snifter... pours a black body with a half-finger of brown head that settles to a smeared ring.... intimidating... aromatic vanilla, thick toffee, roasted malts, pudding, peat, and candied bourbon overtones... quite an invitation to something worth sipping... speaking of, its first draw is creamy, thick, chewy, meant to be held in the mouth.... no hint of its 9%, it hits the teeth with intensity but settles in the throat with warmth and punch... the toffee, chocolate, sweet bourbon, slight peat, strong vanilla bean and traces of bread malts... this works on a few levels--their ROBUST label is quite appropriate--and is a great accompaniment to a cold night such as this... yet another fantastic bourbon-aged creation from Founders...
355ml bottle brewed in Michigan at 9.2%. Ultra-dark mud brown with a good size and duration sandy small-bubbled head. Thick rich chocolate with light vanilla and a touch of caramel rounding out the aroma; Founders on typical top aroma form - you can almost feel the cocoa beans and vanilla pods in your nostrils. Lowish carbonation, delicate velvet texture. The sweet melange you might have expected, at first: silky chocolate, syrupy maple leafiness, creamy vanilla - but then a dark crusty-bread robustness and bitterness, faintly medicinal emerges, as the finish brings the beer into balance and reminds you what Founders Porters taste like. Not Founders at their very best, arguably: maybe a little straightforward, somewhat constrained, perhaps - but as proof of their capability, that's simply another way of saying this is merely a very good beer, and not one of the best in the world. With a little tweaking, however... who knows.
Bottle at home. Very dark brown, creamy beige head. Rounded milky and sweet chocolate and coffee, vanilla, maple syrup, boozy hint of bourbon, bitterness on the finish - pleasantly balanced but lacks the depth of flavours in KBS or CBS. It also lacks the abv which makes it quite special flavourwise. Good body, soft mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

Bottle. Heavy dark chocolate for the malt, light resin for the hops, light earth for the yeast, with lots of vanilla, bourbon and wood, and a hint of maple syrup in the background. Head is large, creamy, light brown, with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts heavily sweet and slightly acidic, then finishes heavily to harshly sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is full, syrupy, with a soft to lively carbonation and a lightly astringent, alcoholic and cloying finish. Really nice Flavored Imperial Porter that starts of great but gets a little abrupt in the end.
