Fourpure American Pale

Fourpure American Pale

This California inspired is bold yet refreshing. Cascade, Centennial and Citra hops contribute floral and citrus hop flavours and aromas, which are gently supported by a lightly roasted malt character.

3.1 Fluffy white head left a cover on a clear, lightly carbonated golden body. Big aroma of citrus, zest, grapefruit & melon. Medium bodied, crisp, & prickly on the palate with a clean back. Grapefruit, pine & spices tastes with & a peppery finish.
3.0 Canned, 330 ml. Opal yellow golden colour with a medium sized creamy off-white head on it. Zesty nose and aroma with mild citrusses, bread and florals, mouthfeel is slick. Somewhat short, rather malty, shy earthy, citrussy finish.
2.7 Can. Smells a bit like jif. Tastes a bit like jif. Strange aftertaste. Pretty thin. Not ideal.
3.5 Can at home. No glassware used because the dishwasher is broken. Sweet malts, lots of grassy hop, hay, oats, some hard to define sweet fruitiness, bit like a combination of a really ripe pear and peach. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
3.0 Light amber colour, thin white head. Citrus hoppy flavour nothing special.
3.4 Pours a light golden, slightly hazy with thin white head. Aromas of New World hops, citrus fruits including oranges and grapefruit and some floral notes. Taste is easy drinking, orange and grapefruit flavours very prominent, some caramel sweetness from the malt with a clean, bitter finish which is dominated by hops. Very drinkable APA, good but not spectacular, interesting flavours at first but then becomes a bit thin.
1.8 Pours a light amber with a white head. Aroma is quite a dank sweet citrus, lemon. Taste is lemon, pine up front, leading to a slightly funky grassy middle, with a milky, slight sour finish. medium to thin bodied, medium carbonation. Not a big fan of this, aftertaste/finish is particularly unpleasant.
3.3 Can at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. My notes are as follows: no real head or carbonation, hops, pleasant but no real character to the beer. Overall it was perfectly pleasant but completely forgettable. A comment that I make about may Fourpure beers.
3.3 Deep golden colour with rather large and strong foam. Aromas hoppy with notes of pine resin as well as citrus fruits. Palate, full body with smooth texture leaving rather plain finish. Taste somewhat sweet and hoppy with notes of grapefruit slice white peel, citrus and somewhat grainy. Overall, not bad, somewhat lacking flavour but nice.
3.2 Can. Hoppy, buttery - fair ale with tropical fruit notes. Its not a bad ale but it doesn't set my world on fire.
4.0 Light and slightly floral
3.1 On Tap. 3 finger fluffy white head. Medium carbonation. Resinous, orange peel, wet grass. Overall feels a little stale but not a bad apa.
3.3 Golden colour with light haze and lacy head. Aroma has a fair amount of biscuity malts resinous hop. Flavour is a little on the skunky side but there's a nice crisp, clean finish.
3.2 330ml can. Pours orange gold with a medium head. Aroma is mango and banana purée. Taste is grassy to start with a subtle bitter banana finish. A bit gassy.
3.1 Keg at Little Nan's Deptford as Pat's Pale Ale, 5%, with a picture of Pat from Eastenders. Rebadge of Fourpure Pale Ale. First beer I've seen available to be served in a teapot. Amber orange, clear and still with a huge creamy off white head that leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is tired tangerine, little lactic yoghurty, kefir, apricot. Body is light and creamy with tingly carbonation. Taste is dusty, dried flowers, mixed citrus background. Ok average APA. (6-4-5-3-13=3.1)
3.3 Tap at Takanoya. Malty, biscuits, citrus flavor and some resins. Well balanced, rather average overall.
2.9 Weak aroma I'm not keen on same for taste. Orange peel floral watery. But better than the shite i just poured away
2.5 Aromat zbożowy, więcej fenoli niż chmielu, wodniste, niezbyt przekonujące.
3.0 Lekkie, mało goryczkowe, orzeźwiające
3.0 Can. BB Feb 2018; Drank July 2017 - Hazy yellowy gold in colour. Small foamy white head. Toasty malts, caramel. Grapefruit and orange citrus. Moderately hoppy; herbal hops. Moderately bitter malty and citrus hoppy. Fairly dry. Bitter finish. Rather disappointing. (2017-07)
3.1 An inoffensive pale ale. Sweet and citrus and nice overall feel. Very drinkable.
3.4 Clean and crisp with a nice hoppy finish. Decent enough beer and easy drinking
3.2 One of a few offer tins from Tesco. This was pretty good but not as nice as the vocation brewery offerings. Still, pleasant, hoppy, lightly malted and fruity, refreshing modern ale.
3.8 Impressively hoppy on the palate - much more than expected: a real US pale ale which delivers. Nicely presented too.
3.0 330 ml can @home,bb 07/11/17. Light orange, clear. Aroma of citrus and some unidentified sourness. Taste is grain and malt.
3.2 Fizzy gold with a piney watermelon taste and a bready aftertaste servicable.
2.7 330ml can kindly shared by Finn. Warm golden body, spotty lacing from a snow white head. Grassy hops on the nose, citric hints. Grassy hops with grainy malts beneath. Some bitter endnotes. Fair enough. (Session at Finn’s in Tromsø 18.05.2017).
2.5 Boks 330ml fra Tesco London. Delt med djoeye og Rune på Nerstranda 18 Mai 17. Gyldengul. Uklar. Lavt kritthvitt skum. Litt lacing. Smaken gummi. Uvariert.
3.2 Clear amber with scummy head. Light, crisp aroma smelling slightly of pear. Clean taste, slightly peary, slightly malty. Light bodied.
3.2 Can. Pours clear, golden. Ring of white head. Aroma is floral and grassy. Biscuity flavor. Not much on the finish. Medium body. Ok.
