Fourpure Oatmeal Stout

Fourpure Oatmeal Stout

Note: This may be the same beer as Fourpure Last Train Oatmeal Stout 5.1% abv and as such may be merged in future.

This lovely oatmeal stout is sweet, easily drinkable and has a refreshing side to it. Compared to most Stouts this is a little lighter than the others. Light on your palate, does not leave a sour or bitter taste on your mouth, one of the best oatmeal stouts available.

3.5 330ml can. Near black, good beige beige head, decent retention. Aroma of roasted coffee, malts, dark chocolate, caramel, hint of raisin; very nice. Moderate smooth body, soft carbonation; good. Taste has the roasted malts, coffee, chocolate but slightly watered down and lacks a bit of depth. Its very pleasant but it could have been a great stout.
3.4 Had at home from beer52 (May 2020>pours dark with a large head. Smells of chocolate with a coffee flavour . A sweet hit of chocolate cookies and followed by a coffee hit not a badbeer
3.2 From a beerhawk case. Pours black with a thin head. Aroma of roasted malty coffee. Sweet taste of malt, burnt malt , chocolate , vanilla , cookies & cream.
3.3 Dark brown stout. Thin/very little head. Oaty number on the nose. Smooth and creamy when going down the hatch. It's a grower certainly and those with a more delicate palete may get more out of this.
3.9 Forepure Last Train Oatmeal Stout 5.1%. Blackish ruby, chocolate, dark roasted malt aroma, medium bodied, dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, spices. Gorgeous Stout from London 🇬🇧
4.2 Great stout, Lightly fizzy, oatmeal taste not too bitter (Asda)
3.4 33cl can from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark plum, apparently dense, with no foam. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, but also a little fruity like plum. Body is slightly dense, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium bitter out of roastiness. Initially also a little bit of sweetness. Final is fairly long and roasty.
3.8 Aroma of coffee, chocolate, smoke wood and a hint of leather. Deep bron to black with a tan head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium + body with average carbonation. Overall a very nice Stout. Well balanced.
3.4 Can 33cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Pitch b;ack with a ruby hue, good frothy tan head, half-way lasting; aroma roasted malt, cocoa, caramel, coffee; taste medium sweet and light bitter, roasted, dark chocolate, caramel, oats; mild sweetbitter finish, sugary notes, some burnt caramel; light body, watery texture, soft carbonation; lacks some depth and body but nice.
3.4 Can from Beerwulf. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, mocha, caramel, coffee, creamy oats, more powdery chocolate, hint of dark fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium with a little creaminess. Very drinkable, brings the roast and the mocha.
3.3 Aroma: Coffee, roasted grain, chocolate. Appearance: Dark brown, decent beige head. Taste: Roasted bitterness, light sweetness. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation. I would expect an oatmeal stout to be smoother. Overall: Not a bad stout, but does not posses any features typical for oatmeal stouts. Should have more body and be more creamy!
3.2 Hana @ Tower Bridge Draft House, Lontoo.
3.6 330ml can (5.1%) at home on 15 Jun 2019, from Tesco, Whitletts Road, Ayr (purchased 8 Sep 2018; bb 14 Dec 2018): vanilla, chocolate aroma, very dark brown near black, thin short-lived fawn head, chocolate, oaty, vanilla flavour, creamy, good body, sweet malty finish.
3.0 Light stout but slightly bitter taste
3.2 On tap at Brewdog, Sheffield way back when. Pours dark brown to black with a frothy tan head. Aroma: roasted malts & chocolate. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, burnt malts, oats, chocolate, hints of coffee. Medium bodied with a dry & bitter finish. Medium bodied with generous carbonation.
3.2 Creamy, yummy stout. Even out of a can!
3.3 Can from Asda, very dark brown, nearly black with small dark head. Aroma: dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, roasted bread. Lightly sour with dry aftertaste. Full body, light carbonation. Quite nice.
3.6 Can 330ml; Look: virtually jet black, slight light bleed. Foamy light tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma: Chocolate, caramel, coffee, dark roasted malt Body: medium end of thin Taste: dark chocolate, dark roasted malt, caramel, subtle bitterness Overall: very nice. Classic stout
3.2 Can, from Tesco Oxford. Pours a jet black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, mild cocoa, mild toasted grain notes. Taste: roasted malt, brown sugar, mild cocoa, very mild oats flavours. Thin to medium bodied. Mild sweetness. A bit too thin and dull. Not much flavour to this beer. A bit boring actually.
Aroma a cacao, café poco tostado y toque a olivas negras. Sabor intenso a avena con notas a olivas negras, chocolate y maltas tostadas. Regusto corto de amargor bajo. Textura acuosa, cuerpo medio y carbonatación medio-baja.
3.6 Black with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have lots of roasted bitter malts. Hints of coffee. Decent body.
3.2 Thuis uit een blikje. Donkerbruin, snel verdwijnend schuim.
3.3 17th Nov 2018. Last beer of a mini-tasting session with myself and no one else. 330ml can; BBE 26th Mar 2019. Tan coloured topping, black body. Malty first and foremost with a fairly sweet nature to it's make up. Chocolate and milky coffee aroma/taste. Decent, without getting my senses too excited.
3.4 Can from Tesco. I've never really rated Fourpure all too highly, but as the Autumn nights draw in, I really fancied a stout, and decided to give this a go. Thin mocha head. Deep mahogany body, almost jet black. Nose is coffee, dark fruits, red berries, a hint of milk chocolate and some kola nut. Bitter with a dry finish.
3.4 Draft: Poured a black with tan head. Aroma was malty and chocolate. Taste was a silky milk chocolate and malts.
3.4 Pours a pitch black coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Smell is underwhelming, with only faint aromas of roasted malt and coffee. Taste follows the nose, unfortunately, with an unremarkable flavor profile of faint roasted malt, coffee and milk chocolate, with just a hint of licorice. Finishes with a medium bitterness and a little licorice lingering in the aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel with a light/medim body and medium carbonation. This is not terrible, but it's not great either. Despite a nice balance of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, with a good bitterness, the flavor profile is just not intense enough, feeling a little bland. Also suffers from a rather light, thin and slightly watery body and mouthfeel.
3.1 On tap Horvati, Zagreb. Almost black color with medium sized head. Light malty and milk chocolate aroma with sweet finish.
