Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Alkoholfrei

Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Alkoholfrei

The Bavarian Purity Law came into effect in 1516. When Bavaria joined Prussia to become part of the German Empire (Deutsches Reich) in the unification of 1871, one of the conditions was that the Bavarian beer purity law apply to all of Germany. Since then it was known as the GERMAN purity Law (Deutsches Reinheitsgebot).

Incidentally, the Purity Law stated that only 3 ingredients may be used for beer: Water, Hops & Barley. Weissbeer also has Yeast added, so is in fact in violation of this law.

2.8 Sløret lys gylden med hvitt skum. Aroma korm malt banan. Smak banan hvetemalt koriander sitrus. Fruktig øl med lett fylde. Godt øl i alkoholfri-klassen. Flaske kjøpt på Coop Obs!
2.9 500 ml bottle. Cloudy dark orange with a fluffy head. Citrus, yeast, wheat, toast, hints of clove and banana, NA notes. Citrussy dryness, NA typical sweetness. Light to medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, mild dry sweet finish. Not bad, really.
3.6 Franziskaner Weissbier Alkoholfrei Naturtrübes 0.5%. Hazy golden, wheat malt aroma, medium bodied, wheat malt, yeasty, banana, spices. Pleasant AF Hefeweizen from Munich, Bavaria 🇩🇪
3.4 One of the better alcohol free beers. Fuller body than most, still less than the original. Strong wheat and barley with some citrus notes. Chilled from fridge
2.0 Amber with a tall, foamy white head that lingers. So far I’ve not had much luck with the alcohol-free Weizens and this is no exception: the aroma is dough, moldy rag and wet dog. There’s just nothing in there that makes me want to drink this. Taste is sweet, mildly sugary, with a limp, watery end. Lousy.
3.1 Hazy dark golden body with a big, persistent and foamy white head. Aroma is malty, cereals and white bread crust. Taste is sweet, malty, sugar. Sweet finish. Medium body average carbonation oily texture
2.8 500ml bottle. Pours hazy orange golden with a foamy white head. Aroma: bread, dough, sweet, clove, ginger, ripe banana. Taste: light to moderate sweet, banana, doughy bread, spices - clove, ginger. Light body with foamy carbonation. Not too bad for an NA beer.
2.9 Aromas of wheat, banana and yeast. Similar flavours, a bit too sweet, also m grain and lemon..
2.7 50 cl bottle @ home, served in a teku glass, due date: 2021/05. Aroma: weak aromas of cereals, straw, wheat, grains, hay. Very light hints of spices. There is no hints of the aromas of banana and clove we should find in a Hefe-Weissbier. Appearance: light gold color with slightly off-white and very fluffy head made of tiny to small sized bubbles, very high head thickess, high retention, low Brussels' lacing, low haziness. Some flakes of yeast remain in the bottom of the bottle and rise up when you try to pour the beer. Taste: medium sweetness, low bitterness, no sourness. Flavors of wheat, cereals, grains, straw, hay and hints of citrus, citrus peel, caramel, burnt caramel, caramel malts, metal. Balance is toward the sweetness, but it is not cloying. Mouthfeel: low to medium body, watery to slightly oily texture, medium carbonation, not very long slightly sweet finish with the same aforementioned flavors and a lingering metallic aftertaste. Alcohol is not noticeable in the aroma of flavor and its throat and mouth warming is not noticeable. Astringency is not noticeable. Overall: very good appearance, weak aromas and more powerful flavors of cereals, straw, wheat, hay and hints of citrus, citrus peel, metal, caramel. Flavors are very far from the tastier other wheat beers from Franziskaner with alcohol. But it's better than more alcohol-free beers.
2.2 Lots of wheat and grain notes. Sweet hay and light sparkling. Mostly sweet and medium bodied. Only light bitterness.
2.3 Flaska.
1.9 Clear amber color with white head. Malty, hay aromas. Medium sweetness. Bit watery.
Hemelvaart in Corona tijd. Licht troebel, goud oranje, goed wit schuim.
0.9 No alcohol, no taste, no point. I’ve tasted worse but there are much better non-alcohol drinks out there.
2.3 500ml bottle. Unclear deep gold, large white head. Surprisingly smoky notes to this with very gentle, very soft weiss esters hiding beneath soft wheaty grain textures. Incomparable to standard weissbier of course, and the smokiness is odd. Generally fine tho.
3.0 Bottle. I have limited experience of alcohol free beer. Nose is better than expected, cloves, banana, pronounced candy sugar, bubble gum. Taste is thin as you would imagine, leads with cloves, banana, wheat, grains, but has a slight lemony citrus/ 7 up taste in the middle which is off putting. It's very drinkable, and I certainly have over a can of pop.
2.6 Appearance: Dark golden, orange hue. Slight haze. Nice, creamy off-white head. Aroma: Wheat, grains, pale malt. Taste: Wheat, some grains. Pale malt, some sweetness. Bought: Wittich, 500 ml, CHF 2.10 Info: 10/4-2020, BB: 31/8-2020
1.6 Aroma of skunked cheap lager , looks like a real weissbeer (cloudy golden, retains head) , tastes like a non alcoholic malt drink making (dressed up to look like a real beer) too sweet and sickly and the malts taste like its straight out of the primary fermentation without any conditioning). I am open mind d and wanted to like this low alcohol beer but I just don’t.
2.5 Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a huge foamy white head. Mild aroma of banana and wheat. Mild wheaty taste. Medium thin body.
3.0 Lyon
2.0 Creamy, malty, sweet, watery. Brrr!
1.0 hazy golden to orange colour, medium sized dense and quite stable white head; aroma of corny-grainy-wet wheaty and slight grassy notes; taste of a sweet malt drink; not good at all
2.6 Bottle from Spar. Hazy amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, yeast, banana, earthy notes and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, banana, yeast, grass and earthy notes. Good non-alcoholic Hefeweizen.
3.0 500ml bottle from Beer Hawk. Hazy golden colour with a lasting white head. The aroma is strangely milky. The taste is a bit bland. Light sweet and with a milky aftertaste.
2.7 Murky orange pour. Malty and citrus nose. High on carbonation with a bit of a metallic aftertaste
2.6 At Munich Airport, pours golden with a nice head, aroma of lemon, banana, flavor is grassy with wort, lemon, caramel, light bodied
